Says Curtis “The show tells the story of the strange journey we have all been on over the past 20 years since Mezzanine was released: How we have moved into a strange backward-looking world, enclosed by machines that read our data and predict our every move, haunted by ghosts from the past.”

Also, says Massive Attack member Robert Del Naja “The show is a deconstruction of the entire album with the original songs and samples being performed live. This isn’t a greatest hits show, don’t expect a Hollywood ending.”In addition to Frasers vocals, they will also be joined onstage by Horace Andy and additional visuals will be provided by AI artist Mario Klingemann.

Massive Attack were formed in 1988 in Bristol by Del Naga otherwise known as “3D”, Grant “Daddy G” Marshall and formerly featured Andy “Mushroom” Vowels. They released their debut album “Blue Lines” in 1991 which featured their chart topping single “Unfinished Sympathy” which was later voted in a poll by the NME as the 63rd greatest song off all time.

“Mezzanine” was released in 1998 and contained the single “Teardrop”, it also went to number 1 in the album charts, as did 2003’s “100th Window”. “Bluelines” and “Mezzanine” both feature in the 500 greatest albums of all time list compiled by Rolling Stone magazine.

They have won several awards throughout their three decade career including Best British Dance Act at the Brit Awards as well as two MTV Europe Awards and two Q awards. Their five studio albums have sold 11 million copies worldwide.
