The latest release has been produced by Richard Fortus and the mixing was done by Tim Palmer who worked with David Bowie, U2 and Robert Plant.

New wave band The Psychedelic Furs have made their long-awaited comeback this week, sharing their UK tour dates for 2021 on Monday, and today, their full ‘Made of Rain’ album. Fans and critics are excited to receive new music from the band, since their last release, ‘World Outside’, was shared in 1991.

Described in a press release as “classic Psychedelic Furs in both its sound and execution,” the new album consists of twelve tracks, which are “fresher than ever”. A week before the release, the band shared the music video for fourth single ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ with an excitingly creepy visual. Gaining 20,000 views already, their first music video in almost 30 years has been a success.

According to lead vocalist Richard Butler, the song is about “looking for redemption in faith and riches, questioning if either are of any true value and whether redemption is ultimately necessary at all.” Further releases include lead single ‘Don’t Believe’, as well as ‘You’ll Be Mine’ and ‘No-One’, all of which have over 100,000 streams on Spotify. The album is available now on all platforms, with exclusive options found in the band’s online store.

Furthermore, The Psychedelic Furs will treat fans to live shows throughout 2021, all around the UK with guests Jah Wobble & The Invaders of the Heart on the opening night, and Pauline Murray & The Invisible Girls for the remaining performances.

Tickets went on sale today, July 31st, at 10am on the band’s website, with six dates in total, each taking place in a new city. The day before the first show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, there will be an intimate Q&A session for a select group of fans who purchase tickets. Those who are lucky enough to attend will get an insight into ‘Made of Rain’ from the band. The event will be held in Kingston, London, in association with Banquet Records.

Since then, the members – Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass), Mars Williams (saxophone), Rich Good (guitar), Amanda Kramer (keys), and Paul Garisto (drums) – have played live in a few tours around the world.
