As with all of the best things… The wait is going to be a little longer. The album is ready to go but the effects of Covid on multiple industries has put the brakes on the release of album number six ‘Choices’. At first this felt like a kick in the gut but now I figure, what is meant to be is meant to be… We’ve got to to roll with it. I am really fucking sorry. There isn’t anything else we could do. 26/02/2021 this album will be in your ears. Before then you’re going to hear a few more songs from it, don’t worry.

The album, that was originally supposed to be released on the 16th of October, will now be available on the 26th of February 2021. It’s not all bad news though, as Lucy has released the first single off the album, Flowers. This is Lucy’s first single since her album Today Was a Good Day which came out in May 2019. She also released the music video for the song.

To mark the occasion, the singer went live on Instagram and Facebook to answer fan questions, before the video premiered at 10am on YouTube. She was very excited for the video and said in an Instagram video that Flowers is her favourite song she had ever written. She also shared a behind the scenes video on her social media, which gives fans an inside look at the work behind the sultry video.

Lucy shot to fame after appearing on the X Factor in 2012. She auditioned with an original song Last Night and instantly became a fan favourite. She was the first contestant in the shows history to have a song in the charts before the live shows have even aired. She signed with Columbia Records after leaving the show due to illness. Her last album Today Was a Good Day made it to number four in the British iTunes Charts.
