De La Soul will close the festival on Sunday with what is billed as their only full live band show in the UK in 2026. The appearance will also mark their first return to Glynde since the death of founding member David ‘Trugoy the Dove’ Jolicoeur in 2023, adding extra poignancy to their headline set.

For the first time, Love Supreme will host three full days of main stage programming, with a different headliner each night.  The expanded bill means more than 40 performers are now on the poster for 2026, spanning US and UK jazz, soul, R&B and hip‑hop.

Friday is topped by London collective Ezra Collective, who will present their Temple Of Joy concept after previously citing their 2016 Love Supreme debut as a career breakthrough. 

Saturday’s headline set goes to multi‑award‑winning British rapper and songwriter Loyle Carner, whose jazz‑infused hip‑hop follows a high‑profile 2025 that included a Glastonbury Other Stage headline slot and four sold‑out nights at Brixton Academy.

On Sunday, along with De La Soul, day‑split information confirms Free Nationals, Gabrielle, Sister Sledge and Samara Joy among the final day names, making for an exciting conclusion to the jazz-fuelled festival.

Love Supreme takes place at Glynde Place on the edge of the South Downs, a rural site in East Sussex that has hosted the festival since its launch in 2013. The 2026 edition runs from 3-5 July and continues the event’s focus on a mix of large‑scale outdoor stages and more intimate spaces.

Beyond the music, this year’s festival will feature a new restaurant, wellness and yoga sessions, an expanded Kids area, two Supremium VIP zones and the Jazz Lounge, which will host artist interviews, talks and screenings. The Bands & Voices and Blue In Green areas return with cabaret, spoken word, swing dance lessons and late‑night performances in the nearby woodland.​

Jacob Collier is headlining Love Supreme on Saturday, and this performance will be the singer’s only UK festival show of the year. Sunday’s headliner is Maxwell, whose performance will also be his only UK show of 2025. Other well-known artists this weekend are Nile Rodgers & Chic, Smokey Robinson, En Vogue, and The Roots, whose drummer, Questlove, directed the Oscar-winning documentary Summer of Soul. Notable acts this year also include Thee Sacred Souls, Durand Jones & The Indications, Brian Jackson, Sasha Keable, and Neil Cowley Trio.

The Band & Voices stage includes artists Grooveverse, Imaginary Millions, Mica Sefia, Charlotte Dowsson, and Tendayi & Friends. They will also host different workshops and dances on this stage, including Afrobeats Dance workshop, Brazilian Samba, Hip Hop and Funk Streetdance, and Reggae Aerobics. The festival consists of different stages: The Main Stage, The Big Top, The Arena, The Bandstand, and Bands & Voices. The Main Stage focuses on broader styles and genres as well as more well-known acts, including headliners. The Bandstand focuses on up-and-coming and local performers, and the Band & Voices area includes a mix of spoken word, dance, and cabaret.   

Aside from the incredible music, food, and camping, Love Supreme also has a wellness section throughout the weekend. Festivalgoers can take a break and enjoy wood-fired hot tubs, yoga massage treatments, cold plunges, and more opportunities to relax and recharge.   

The festival partners with BBC Radio 2, Nordic Spirit, Hard Rock Cocktails, Jazzwise, Teremana, and more. 

The original idea for this event started with wanting to combine the jazz music scene with the UK festival scene. Love Supreme consists of a diverse lineup with an important focus on including both well-known and up-and-coming artists. In the festival’s first years, there were around 15,000 people; it has now surpassed its ten-year anniversary in 2023, with around 24,000 festivalgoers. Love Supreme has now solidified its place as one of the UK’s leading jazz festivals.

Love Supreme Jazz Festival will not be the only show Robinson will be performing at in the UK. His forthcoming tour will take the Motown singer to across the UK in July to perform in Glasgow, Birmingham, Cardiff and to a final show at London’s prestigious Eventim Apollo.

Smokey Robinson is considered one of the founding fathers of Motown, having served as the vice-president of Motown Records between 1961 and 1988, which coincided with his presence as the frontman in prominent soul and R&B group, The Miracles. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan in 1955, The Miracles were the first successful recording act to emerge out of Motown Records and are considered one of the most distinguished acts within the genre. Robinson’s efforts saw many prominent musicians walk through the doors of Motown Records including: Diana Ross & the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder and many more icons. Besides from his role in The Miracles, Robinson holds prolific credentials within the industry after having his name attributed to Motown and soul’s biggest tracks. Most notably Robinson wrote the Temptations’ ‘My Girl’ in 1965 and ‘Get Ready’ in 1966, where the former respectively peaked at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. These tracks along with Mary Wells’ ‘My Guy’ and Marvin Gaye’s ‘Ain’t That Peculiar’ have become synonymous with Motown as a genre, given the extent of Robinson’s lyrical contributions.

The ‘Being With You’ singer will return to the UK to showcase his Motown musical legacy to multi-generational crowds. Being billed as the ‘hits’ tour, the singer will perform a range of hits from his multi-decade career including a potential appreciation towards the 50^th Anniversary of ‘A Quiet Storm’  – an album which established Robinson’s reputation as a notable singer-songwriter. This forthcoming tour will somewhat differ from his last in the UK, having been in 2007, where the singer toured following the release of his 2006 LP ‘Timeless Love’.

It was only last year that he released ‘Gasms’ – a concept album that displayed the intricacies surrounding sex and pleasure, themes that although appeared controversial received positive critical assessment, with Pitchfork referring to the album as a “perfectly respectable victory lap” following the “ultimate refinement of Robinson’s late-career output”. This upcoming tour furthers to cement the prevalence of the now-84-year-old singer in the industry.
