<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bathed in a deep red hue, the indie-pop trio stood in a triangle formation, whilst singer Hannah Reid’s ethereal vocals filled the room. Reid sings the track’s poetic opening verse, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://genius.com/London-grammar-baby-its-you-lyrics">“All these lights are </a>changing/See them everywhere/In my veins like lightning/I don&#8217;t even care”</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, enveloping the huge venue in the sound of London Grammar. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">London Grammar premiered </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Baby It’s You </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">on August 19th. Since then, London Grammar has announced that </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Californian Soil</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, their third studio album, is on the way. <em>Californian Soil</em> can be preordered </span><a href="https://store.londongrammar.com/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">here.</span></a></p>

<p><script src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js" async=""></script><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reid maintains that </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Californian Soil </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">is about her </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/watch-london-grammar-perform-dreamy-live-performance-of-baby-its-you-2768695">“gaining possession</a>”</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> of her livelihood as a woman in the music business. This thesis is certainly a personal one for Reid, who herself has experienced misogyny within the male-dominated industry. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a statement, Reid said that </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/watch-london-grammar-perform-dreamy-live-performance-of-baby-its-you-2768695">“Misogyny is primitive,</a> which is why it is so hard to change. But it is also fearful. It’s about rejecting the thing in yourself which is vulnerable or feminine. Yet everybody has that thing.”</span></i></p>
<p><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Pbwaq0E80hQ" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reid elaborated on this in the courageous statement, <a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/watch-london-grammar-perform-dreamy-live-performance-of-baby-its-you-2768695">saying </a></span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/watch-london-grammar-perform-dreamy-live-performance-of-baby-its-you-2768695">“This record is about</a> gaining possession of my own life. You imagine success will be amazing. Then you see it from the inside and ask, ‘Why am I not controlling this thing? Why am I not allowed to be in control of it? And does that connect, in any way to being a woman? If so, how can <a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/watch-london-grammar-perform-dreamy-live-performance-of-baby-its-you-2768695">I do that differently?’”</a></span></i></p>

The last release from the electronica trio was the moving single, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let You Know. </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">A creative collaboration between Australian producer and DJ Flume, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let You Know</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> came out back in 2019. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Naturally, London Grammar fans were immediately intrigued to see all of their <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CD_xBgIgdXO/">Instagram </a>content deleted yesterday. In a cryptic post on the 17th of August, the band shared a snap of themselves with the mysterious caption,</span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CD_xBgIgdXO/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> “Nothing Else Matters”</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></a></p>
<p>Could this be an indication of new music? Fans certainly hope so, as the post has received a whopping 31,000 likes from London Grammar’s dedicated fanbase.</p>

<p><script src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js" async=""></script><span style="font-weight: 400;">In other new developments, London Grammar has since confirmed their return with a new single. Taking to social media 3 hours ago, the </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hey Now</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> musicians shared the fantastic news via their official<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CECVnwtgyJT/"> Instagram. </a></span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The last studio album from London Grammar was the ice-cool </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Truth Is Such A Beautiful Thing</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, which was released back in June of 2017 and peaked at Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart that year. The album features tracks like </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wild Eyed</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Who Am I</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oh Woman Oh Man</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and was wonderfully received by fans and critics alike. </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Truth Is Such A Beautiful Thing </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">also led to London Grammar being nominated for the prestigious Best British Group at the 2018 instalment of the Brit Awards. </span></p>

<p><a href="https://septembermanagement.com/">September Management</a> Founder Jonathan Dickens, who works closely with the terrific trio’s label <a href="https://www.ministryofsound.com/">Ministry of Sound</a>, has recently confirmed that the third album from London Grammar is indeed on the horizon.
