The performance was filmed during the singer’s October 2021 show at Copenhagen’s Den Gra Hal. The show sees the singer work with her Live creative director Rob Sinclair to create a unique stage show, who is known for his work with Tame Impala, Shania Twain and Zara Larsson. Alongside tickets, fans will also be able to purchase merchandise, including T-shirts, totes, stickers and pins.

The press release provides the following statement describing the event, “For this unique one-time performance, MØ has transformed her favourite venue into the Motordrome, inviting fans to step inside of her creative vision for the album. The exciting, dynamic Moment will find MØ performing songs from her latest album, Motordrome, for the first time, alongside career-spanning hits. As a celebration for the release of the record, MØ is bringing the complete live experience to fans around the world who weren’t able to see her return to the stage in person.”

As stated, fans will be able to hear the singer’s back catalogue as well as her newest material from Motordrome. The album is the artist’s first full release since her 2018 album Forever Neverland, to mark Motordrome’s release the singer also released a new single entitled “New Moon”. The single dropped with an official music video directed by Fa and Fon, the London based duo known for their work within multi visual design.

The new album has also sired four previously released tracks, all of which have garnered great critical acclaim. Stereogum described the album’s third single “Brad Pit” as “one of the best ’80s synth-pop updates”. The next single to be released “Goosebumps” also received rave reviews, Flood declared the track was “a sincere love song that blossoms into sexy synth-rock”.

The press release for Motordrome describes the origin story behind the album’s name and the healing properties in which the process held, “Motordrome’s title came from a conversation MØ had with her mother about her battles with anxiety—the panic and intrusive thoughts called to mind the dødstrome, an old carnival trick in which a stuntperson rides a motorcycle around the vertical walls of a motordrome at death-defying speeds. The making of the album proved to be MØ’s escape from this deepening spiral, although the album is very much a document of a person-in-progress. While there is a strong sense of empowerment and of brighter days ahead, it also serves as a reminder that everyone has to deal with their own dødstrome—that there is no perfect remedy for life’s struggles, and that’s OK.”

Fans from all over the globe will be able to purchase tickets to watch the live stream, dates and times for each territory can be found below. Along with the recently announce streamed event, MØ will also be hitting the road in July for a series of live performances in Europe and North America.

The new single’s press release has provided the following statement, “Today, INFECTED RAIN follows up with intense second single, “Fighter”! The aggressive new track showcases the most brutal side of the band, bringing out their ruthlessness in full force with a hardcore-influenced tornado of rhythms and provoking lyricism.”

Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands has also provided the following description for “Fighter”, “Inspired by strong women who never give up, Fighter is a reminder of the here and now! Fighter is a reminder of strength and potential. Today right now, all you’ve got is this!”. The singer also speaks on the upcoming album, “While the whole world was in a deep depression, Ecdysis was slowly but surely maturing. The time in isolation away from all our plans and goals, away from loved ones and the stage, brought out something so new and different in us. A new chapter starts with this album, a chapter of raw emotions and complete commitment.”

The new track is the second single to be taken from the upcoming album Ecdysis, the band’s fifth studio album is set to be released on 7th January 2022. The album will be released via Napalm Records, an Austrian independent record label that specialises in all forms of heavy metal and rock music. The label boasts a roster of some of rock’s most popular acts including Andrew W.K, Hoobastank and Alterbridge frontman Myles Kennedy.

The press release provides the following description for the groups eagerly anticipated new release, “Ecdysis successfully demonstrates ultramodern brutality without sacrificing emotion and melody – showcasing a new layer of INFECTED RAIN that longtime followers and new fans alike will embrace.”

In October the forthcoming album’s first single “Postmortem pt 1” was released, the track was also released with a stirring music video. Much like “Fighter”, the album’s first single also contains thought-provoking lyrical content. The single deals with topics of depression and abandonment and take the listener through an emotional journey filled with catchy guitar licks. Both singles provide a musical snapshot into the band’s first full release since 2019 album Endorphin, the new album is produced by long-term collaborator Valentin Voluta.

The prog-rock and heavy metal band hail from Moldova and consists of vocalist Elena “Lena Scissorhands” Catarga, guitarist Vadim “Vidick” Ojog, bassist Vladimir Babici, guitarist Serghei Babici and drummer Eugen Voluta. The quintet was formed in 2008 and have had a long career that includes five studio albums and various electrifying live performances. Fans will be able to catch the group perform on a live-streamed concert available to watch on  26th November and will be available to watch for 8 days. Along with their upcoming stream is the release of the documentary “The Devil’s Dozen” which charts the rise of the group whilst providing a fly on the wall insight into their 13-year long career. The film will document the band’s history, feature behind the scenes footage and includes a full live show complete with special effects and exclusive music.

The electro pioneers will be making their debut live performance at the London arena. The “Blue Monday” hitmakers last played the capitol city in 2018 at Alexandra Palace and are set to return to set the city alight.  The performance was made accessible as a Live album earlier this year, the release is available in different formats including a triple LP. The band recently returned to their roots and performed at the Working Men’s Club in Heaton Park, Manchester. The hometown performance took place on 10th September 2021, the band were joined by fellow Electro group Hot Chip.

The group posted the following statement on their website concerning their upcoming Live-streamed performance. “We’re looking forward to performing at The O2, London on November 6th for a sold-out show and are extending an invite around the globe. Today, we are announcing that fans anywhere can join a live stream to experience the night for themselves.  We really wanted to reach out and share this live show with as many people as possible after nearly 18 months of not being able to travel. We were so looking forward to seeing everyone on tour by now. It has been frustrating not being able to play live in person, but this is the next best thing. It feels right to bring everyone together around the world through whatever means possible. This is a special show for us and we want to share it with you all.”

The iconic group formed in 1980 and originally consisted of vocalist and guitarist Bernard Summer, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris. All three founding members originated from the highly influential group Joy Division, known for their individualist sound which encapsulated an era. The group were formed in Salford in 1976 and were completed by frontman Ian Curtis. Summer, Hook and Morris formed New Order in the wake of the untimely death of Curtis, the singer tragically took his life at the age of 23.

New order became one of the most predominant groups within the dance and electro scene within the 80s’, due to their musical inclusion of post-punk. The band became the poster boys for the emerging cultural scene within Manchester and were championed by record label Factory Records and cultural hot spot The Hacienda. The band’s most famous track, “Blue Monday”, has remained a fixture at clubs and used heavily by DJs. The 1983 release has been named the best-selling 12-inch single of all time and is often sampled by other artists. The group originally disbanded in 1993 after six studio albums, the band reunited shortly after in 1998, several hiatuses, reunions and line-up changes have since followed.

The group recently released new material, marking its first release in five years. “Be A Rebel” was released in September 2020 which followed their 2015 album Music Complete. The release was to thank fans for their patience due to their 2020 tour being postponed due to COVID restrictions. The release was followed by “Be A Rebel Remixed”, which featured 11 remixes by a selection of talented DJs and producers.

In less than a month, fans will be able to watch New Order perform new material and classics from the comfort of their own home. The group will step onto the London stage at 8:45 pm, the live stream will be available to watch for 72 hours.

The event will include material from Weller’s early days and tracks from The Jam but will also include new and unheard music and will be Weller’s first live performance in two years. The event’s setlist includes the tracks ‘English Rose’, ‘Wild Wood’ and the 1995 hit, ‘You Do Something to Me’, taken from his third solo album ‘Stanley Road’. The concert’s inclusion of Weller’s more recent material includes his latest album, ‘On Sunset’, the number one album from 2020.

The event is part of a series by the prestigious London arts centre, The Barbican. The string of events sees The Barbican collaborate with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Jules Buckley. The series entitled ‘Live From The Barbican’, has provided concerts during the COVID pandemic since October of last year, beginning with a talk and workshop curated by Emmy the Great.

The Head of Music at the Barbican, Huw Humphreys has spoken on his admiration for Weller as well as The Barbican’s dedication to the arts.

“We are delighted to welcome iconic British artist Paul Weller and guests Celeste, Boy George and James Morrison alongside Jules Buckley and our Associate Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, to the summer edition of our new concert series, Live From The Barbican. The series enabled us to continue our commitment to support artists and partner organisations during a difficult year and at a time when concert halls needed to temporarily close their doors. Until we can welcome back our audiences into the hall very shortly, we are hoping that many Paul Weller fans across the globe will be able to join us at the Barbican via Livestream this May.”

Rising Star Brit award winner Celeste also expressed her delight over working with Weller. “I have found Paul Weller to be such inspiration from afar, and also in the little moments I have spent with him. Wild Wood was a song sung at my first ever gig when I was 16, so to be able to sing it with him now 10 years later feels like a career full-circle moment and I’m truly honoured he’s up for doing it!”

Due to COVID restrictions in place, the event will not be able to host a physical audience but will be live-streamed on The Barbican’s website. The event will also enjoy coverage across multiple BBC platforms including TV, Radio, online, BBC I player and BBC Sounds.  On 13th June, the full event will be aired on BBC Radio 2 with highlights broadcasted on Gideon Coe’s show on 17th June. Later on, in June, the event will be broadcasted on television, presented by Edith Bowman on BBC two.

Previously set to take place later this month, the live stream event will now take place on 8th May 2021 at 8 pm.

Announcing the rescheduled date on Instagram, the British R&B artist and DJ wrote: “I’m really sorry to let you all know we’re having to push the ‘Born To Do It’ online show back to Saturday 8th May at 8pm BST. All tickets remain valid. I can’t wait to perform this album for you guys, All my love, CD.”

 The reason behind the rescheduling of the event is unknown. Crosstown Concerts, the promoters of the event, said in a statement: “Crosstown Concerts apologise to all ticket holders and Craig himself but due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to move the date for Craig’s ‘Born To Do It’ global broadcast. All tickets remain valid for the new date and we look forward to presenting a truly magical evening of music.”

 The concert is set to be Craig David’s 20th-anniversary performance, revisiting his debut album ‘Born To Do It’ which was released in August 2000, alongside a live band.The album still holds the record for the fastest selling debut album by a British Male Solo act in UK Chart history and the global live stream will be the first time the artist has performed it in full. Speaking on the album’s release and his upcoming virtual concert, David said: “This album means the world to me. I wanted to do something to celebrate the 20th anniversary and as touring live isn’t possible, I couldn’t let the anniversary go by without marking it in some way. Sharing this album with you has been one of the highlights of my career and I never thought I would get the opportunity to do the whole album in full like this – It’s going to be really special. Thank you for all the love and support these past 20 years… wow!” 

Craig David will be making his return to live music this summer, headlining a number of UK festivals, including: Victorious Festival,  Standon Calling and MFor Festival. The UK artist is also heading out on tour next year with numerous arena dates. It is unsure yet whether he will be continuing his summer residency at the iconic Ibiza Rocks pool party with his sell-out event ‘Craig David presents TS5,’ in Summer 2021, with the club writing that their events are to be confirmed. 

The singer-songwriter has had a successful 2021 so far, kicking the year off he was named in the Queen’s annual New Year’s Honours list. After having a hit career as an R&B artist and selling over 15 million records worldwide in his 20 years on the music scene, Craig has also successfully pursued making dance music. His TS5 DJ brand, established in 2013,  has a slot on both Kiss and Capital playing his sets, giving an exclusive look into the renowned TS5 Miami party. 

Tickets for ‘Craig David Born To Do It’ are still available to buy via Ticketmaster. 

Originally set for one night only, the event could be seen online by purchasing a £20 ticket. Now, the festival has just announced that, due to popular demand, they booked extra broadcast slots and 2 pm and 7 pm BST on Sunday, May 23rd. Hence, fans are going to be able to watch the performances on the following day too. People who purchased the ticket for Saturday and want to swap it for Sunday can do it via this link.

Organiser Emily Eavis already commented on what to expect from this year’s Glastonbury: ‘We are going to take you on a journey through all of those spots that you know from Worthy Farm – the woods, the railway line, the stone circle, the pyramid, and it’s going to build into this epic journey around the site into the night.’ In. fact, the event will also present evocative performances from the Stone Circle, with Eavis herself teasing some ‘atmospheric performances’ that concert-goers will be able to enjoy from home, by inviting friends in their gardens to ‘have a moment and get into the spirit of the festival’.

Initially, Glastonbury was cancelled in January for the second consecutive year due to the ongoing COVID outbreak. Luckily, the event will now be streamed online, and in-person events are good to restart from June 21st following the UK Government staggered roadmap to take the country out of lockdowns.

The festival will include performances from Coldplay, Damon Albarn, Wolf Alice, Idles and many more, and will be directed by the Grammy-nominated film-maker Paul Dugdale. The shows will take place in all the most iconic spots of the festival: the Pyramid Stage, the Stone Circle and the famous south-east nightclubbing corner.

One of the organisers, Emily Eavis, also promised ‘very special guest appearances and collaborations’, with the show being ‘like the festival without the people. We are hoping this will bring a bit of Glastonbury to your homes and that for one night only people all over the world will be able to join us on this journey through the farm together.

Tickets are already on sale and are sold for £20, with the proceeds supporting Glastonbury’s three main charity organisations: Oxfam, Greenpeace and WaterAid. Ticket sales will also guarantee the festival’s comeback in 2022, the organisers announced. Indeed, the cancellation of the 2020 edition cost the event £5m and thousands of job positions, whereas this year early cancellation helped in reducing the losses.

‘We know we’re not going to recoup £5m, obviously, but we will be able to make a bit back,’ Eavis explained. ‘Staging Live at Worthy Farm will cost a lot of money, I can’t give an exact figure because we’re not even there yet, but I think we’ll be able to make a significant donation to the festival pot and to our charities, so that’s really all that matters.’ The festival will also put for sale a commemorative poster that will support the stage crews and workers who have been struggling throughout this pandemic.

Ticket bundles for the event are available here, and include extras such as a Q&A session with the artist, a copy of the ‘Monument,’ album, a signed print or a copy of Henson’s recent book of poetry ‘Accident Dancing.’ Prices for the bundles range from £10 for a Q&A to £18.99 for a copy of the peotry.

This comes with the UK’s second national lockdown almost at an end, yet recent announcements regarding the stricter tier system which will replace it mean that the vast swathes of the UK will still be unable to enjoy live music, with only a very small minority of areas falling into the loosest ‘tier 1,’ category, and areas such as Kent and parts of Essex being raised to the strictest ‘tier 3,’ level.

Keaton Henson has, like many other artists wisely have, not allowed lockdown to slow down either the creative process or reduce his interaction with fans. He has continued to release music, with his latest album ‘Monument,’ hitting stores four weeks ago and, like American contemporary Lana Del Rey, also decided to release a book of poetry called ‘Accident Dancing,’ which dropped on the 22nd of October.

‘Monument,’ is like all of Henson’s music to date, fragile, haunting and yet effortlessly warm and comforting. As listeners we feel his pain in a deeper way than we may be able to articulate by ourselves, and yet are deeply touched with a sense of solidarity in knowing that we are not alone in feeling lost, broken or uncomfortable in this world at times.

Fans will have gotten a taste of what to expect in this December’s event from the intimate live version of ‘Ambulance,’ a stand out track from the ‘Monument,’ album, which he posted on his Youtube channel a month ago. This song grabs your heart strings and tugs them gently in a way that is both beautiful and heartbreaking. It is rare to find a male artist today comfortable with showing as much vulnerability as Keaton Henson is able to show, a far cry away from the braggadocio and macho behaviour in the rap world.

Keaton Henson strips everything back to what music used to be, when a simple melody and an acoustic guitar were enough to break hearts. It is sad to see so few artists these days taking this formula and delivering it in a way which does not fall prey to cliche, or become over-commercial, processed pop music. The simplicity and imperfections in this music are what makes it so endearing, with no autotune or generic chord sequences to be found.

A mysterious presence to say the least, Henson’s fans will surely be very excited to be able to watch a live stream of a man so rarely known to give live performances. This may be one artist who is in fact grateful to the pandemic, for the restricted format of live streaming and reduced social contact which can generate greater mystique.

Dua Lipa received nominations in a number of categories including Album of the Year for her latest work ‘Future Nostalgia’, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Don’t Start Now’. In total the artist has 6 nominations, one of which is for her collaboration with J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Tainy on ‘Un Dia’.

Also entered for Album of the Year are Coldplay with ‘Everyday Life’; the band has so far won seven Grammys over the course of their career. Jacob Collier received his first Album of the Year nomination for ‘Djesse Vol.3′, as well as in two other categories. He shared his excitement with followers, posting, “Three Grammy nominations, including ALBUM OF THE YEAR???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

After releasing ‘Fine Line’ in December 2019, Harry Styles is a contender for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Watermelon Sugar’, while the album is up for Best Pop Vocal Album and ‘Adore You’ for Best Music Video. These are the singer’s first Grammy nominations, and he is now the first member of One Direction to receive this type of recognition.

Other nominees include Disclosure, Slowthai, Snarky Puppy, Fontaines D.C., and Michael Kiwanuka, as well as Mahalia who featured on Jacob Collier’s track ‘All I Need’. Of course, Taylor Swift’s ‘Folklore’, Beyoncé’s ‘Black Parade’, and Billie Eilish’s ‘Everything I Wanted’ were all announced in various categories, as Beyoncé gained nine nominations. Excitement is high among the artists and their fans, as Dua Lipa made clear on her Instagram, exclaiming, “This doesn’t feel real!” She continued, “My heart is racing and I’m in total shock!”

The ceremony will be presented by comedian and presenter Trevor Noah, who commented, “Despite the fact that I am extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event.” To watch the awards on 31st January 2021, tune in to the live-stream on the official website at 8pm GMT.

The live stream event, set to be hosted in the Camden Round Chapel, will be time zone synced so you can watch it from around the world and choose the time that suits you (the times will be listed below). The gig itself will not have any seating and be live-streamed only. This is because of the new 2nd lockdown coming into action tomorrow (05/11/2020) with some social and recreational events and sites closing for the duration of the lockdown.

The live stream will be covering hits from the band’s past repertoire like ‘All Night’  and ‘Somebody to you’ but also from their latest album Cherry Blossom. Fans will truly be spoilt as many may be starved from the lack of live shows and gigs, for some it may even be their first live steam gig of the pandemic year. This gig may be the one not to miss after the critical success of their latest album.

NUMBER 1 thank you SO much. We’ll never forget this

Last month (October 2020) The Vamps release Cherry Blossom it quickly became a critical success setting in the top 100 album charts around the world. However, at home in the British isles, Cherry Blossom has reached number 1 in both the UK and Scottish album charts! Although they haven’t had any singles reach the top numbers they have reached the top 10’s however, this chart-topping album is a great success for the pop band.

Talking to Music-News The Vamps gave a positive message to fans as encouragement before the live stream “In a year of so much uncertainty and divide it was more important than ever for us that we find a way to still share some music live with you. In normal times we would currently be heading out on the road to bring a Vamps show to you in person but as we all know this year hasn’t quite gone to plan”

With the live stream fast approaching tickets for the show will go on sale from 9 am Friday 6th November. If you want to catch the show sign up for the stream here! I think after a year like this we could really use a good gig as I feel most of us have really missed the gig life. Hopefully for now The Vamps will be able to satisfy our craving and tide us over until gigs continue.
