Limp Bizkit performed some of their hit songs from the 90’s, creating a highly energetic set full of nostalgia. Their performance began with the anthem ‘Break Stuff’, and ended with ‘Take a Look Around’, a single from their third album ‘Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water‘ and made famous as part of the soundtrack to the 2000 film Mission: Impossible 2. They also played their most well known song ‘Rollin’, alongside an AI endorsement of the band by Billie Eilish. In the middle of the set, Fred Durst scanned the crowd before spotting somebody to bring up on stage. The young fan, named Brooke, took to the stage with confidence and didn’t look out of place on the Main Stage, rocking with the band. Brooke rocked this performance and looked like a full member of the band, knowing all the lyrics and taking part in call-and-response moments with Fred Durst during the song. She brought an infectious energy and added to the buzz around Reading Festival. As the guitars kicked in, she jumped alongside Durst with infectious enthusiasm, quickly becoming the centre of attention.

As well as Brooke’s awesome performance, the band also looked for moments of humour. During the set, Fred Durst announced that during the headline set, all of Bring Me The Horizon’s merch, as well as the beer, would be free. Limp Bizkit also displayed AI generated ‘endorsements’ of the band from famous artists such as Oasis, Chapell Roan and Oli Sykes (frontman of Bring Me The Horizon).
During their performance of ‘Faith’, a cover of the classic George Michael song, they also displayed an AI endorsement from the Wham! frontman. George Michael has been critical of the release of this cover, with Wes Borland (the band’s guitarist) claiming that Michael “hates it and hates us for doing it”, adding to the humour displayed during the set. During the performance of ‘Take a Look Around’ the stage adopted an Oasis-themed backdrop, exciting and confusing the crowd. Bring Me The Horizon added to this energy when they performed a thrash cover of Oasis’ iconic song ‘Wonderwall’.

BBC iPlayer currently has the rights to televise sets from the festival. Limp Bizkit’s set was not televised by the BBC, though Bring Me The Horizon, alongside all other headliners and star acts, are available here.

One of the biggest surprises in today’s announcement is the addition of Limp Bizkit, the legendary rap-rock band known for hits like ‘Break Stuff‘ and ‘Rollin’. The band, led by frontman Fred Durst, has been making a resurgence in recent years, and their inclusion in the lineup is sure to draw a massive crowd especially paired alongside Bring Me The Horizon. Known for their high-energy performances and mosh-pit-inducing anthems, Limp Bizkit’s set is bound to be a highlight of the weekend 10 years on from their last performance at the festival. 

UK rap duo D-Block Europe is also joining the lineup, adding a strong hip-hop presence to the festival. The duo, consisting of Young Adz and Dirtbike LB, has gained a massive following with their unique rap style and chart-topping hits like ‘Overseas’ and ‘Darling’ featuring Central Cee. Their set is expected to be a major draw, especially for fans of UK drill and Afroswing-infused rap. 

Festival icon Example returns to Reading and Leeds, bringing his signature mix of electronic and rap hits. With classics like ‘Kickstarts’ and ‘Changed the Way You Kiss Me’, Example has been a festival favourite for years and is always successful at getting the crowd to go insane. 

Additionally, Bakar, Nemzzz, and Jazzy have been added to the lineup, further enriching the festival’s diverse music offering. Bakar, known for his genre-blending sound that fuses indie rock with hip-hop, has gained a loyal following with tracks like ‘Hell N Back’. Nemzzz continues to rise in the UK rap scene with his smooth flow and viral tracks like ‘Escape‘. Meanwhile, Irish DJ and singer Jazzy brings an different electronic and dance element to the festival, with her hit ‘Giving Me ‘expected to bring energy to the festival.  

These new additions compliment an already stacked lineup featuring Travis Scott, Hozier, Bring Me The Horizon, Chappell Roan, AJ Tracey, Becky Hill, among many others. With such a diverse range of artists spanning rap, rock, indie, and electronic music, Reading and Leeds 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting editions of the festival in years.

The band took to social media to tease their new single with the caption “BANG YA HEAD TIL YOU BREAK YOUR NECK”. The single is set to be released on September 8th.

Wargasm joined Florida based Nu-metal band Limp Bizkit, famous for their genre-defining hit songs “Rollin'” and “Break Stuff”, on their “Still Sucks” European tour throughout March and April this year. Now, frontman Fred Durst is set to feature on Wargasm’s highly-anticipated debut album Venom, which is set to be released on October 27th.

“BANG YA HEAD” is the second single to be released from Venom, following “Do It So Good”, which dropped last month alongside a music video for a “taste of what’s to come”.

In an interview with Kerrang, the electronic-rock duo comprised of Milkie Way and Sam Matlock, described Venom as “Heavy, melodic, disgusting, honest, sexy, everything this band has experimented with since our inception has been pinned down on the anvil and hammered into shape, thrown at the wall, beaten into a more fucked up shape and gone back onto the anvil.”

“Venom is us. This is ours and before the year clocks out this will be yours. Watch closely – you have no idea what’s gonna happen next.”

“For the last 16 months we’ve spent every moment off the road in the studio creating the perfect debut album for Wargasm.”

After spending over a year working on their upcoming album, Wargasm are set to hit the road later this year to promote Venom for an electric tour, which will be the band’s biggest headliner to date.

The announcement came via Instagram when the band, Fred Durst, John Otto, Sam Rivers, Wes Borland and DJ Lethal released a statement saying they “apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our loyal fans, promoters and support staff“. This was followed by frontman, Fred Durst, posting a video explaining the situation to their fans. He revealed that he had contacted his doctor and had decided to “do some tests“ to make sure he was in “good physical condition“ before beginning the UK/EU leg of the tour.

His doctor responded via a letter informing Durst that he would not want him to be touring at this time and that the singer should “stay close by” for further tests. Durst went on to say; “This was very unexpected news and I’m so sorry. I look forward to making it up to you as soon as possible, and I can only thank you so much for your support“.

The Chocolate Starfish singer was clearly disappointed in his video to fans and promised he was already thinking of ways to “make it up” to those who had bought tickets across the UK and Europe. He appeared to be in good health and it is unclear what the tests revealed about his condition. Shortly after the video was posted to YouTube, the band updated their website with a final statement reading:

“For personal health concerns and based on medical advice given by my personal physician to take an immediate break from touring, Limp Bizkit will sadly have to postpone their 2022 Uk and European tour. We truly apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our loyal fans, promoters and support staff. Stand by for further news.

The band, which also consists of John Otto, Sam Rivers, Wes Borland and DJ Lethal, were touring to promote their most recent album, 2021’s Still Sucks, which was their first studio release in 10 years.

Hopefully, we’ll see them “Rollin'” into a new tour in 2023.
