Yesterday, Liam hinted at the possibility that there might be announcements to do with Oasis sooner than that. He replied to a fan who tweeted, “Oasis 2025 will officially be over in a day”, and he said, “Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter”.

He also tweeted out a couple of teasers relating to Oasis setlists, in the event that they do more dates in the next few years. One fan asked if ‘Listen Up’ would make it on the setlist in the future, to which Liam responded, “If we tour again there will be changes to the set list thems the rules”. Another user on X made it clear they wanted ‘Columbia’ to make the setlist next time, to which Liam replied, “Oh it’ll be there if we tour again”.

It comes after Oasis recently announced a pause as they reflect on their huge ‘Live ’25’ reunion tour, which ended on November 24 in Brazil. The band’s 41-date tour begain in Cardiff on July 4, and saw them perform five homecoming shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, seven at London’s Wembley Stadium, and shows across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and America.

The band wrote in a message to fans, “And so it came to pass. The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten. There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.”, before signing off simply as Oasis.

Rumours of more tour dates next year, as well as potential new music, have been present in recent months, Liam teased more shows on X writing, “I know things you don’t know” to a fan who asked him if he was sad the tour would be ending soon. And at the last Wembley show of their tour, he told fans, “See you next year” before jokingly slapping himself on the wrist.

As for setlists, Liam has already teased that there are “loads more classics” that could be on it in the future. They played the exact same 23 songs in the same order at all 41 shows earlier this year.

After retirement, Hatton had been an incredible advocate for mental health, admitting he struggled with depression and addiction at stages after his career. This campaigning and vocality has led to huge steps in removing the stigmas around mental health struggles in boxing and sport as a whole.

Fellow Mancunian Noel Gallagher paid respect to his friend on TalkSport saying: “It is a real shame for his family, his kids and his grandkids. I was really gobsmacked by it. But he had an amazing career, and the night Liam and I carried his belts out in Vegas was one of the funniest nights ever. It was an honour for us to do that, but it was a funny night with him.” A ‘devastated’ Liam Gallagher paid tribute to Hatton on X too:

Hatton was always a huge Oasis fan, he even let the brothers carry his belts during a walk on in a Las Vegas bout in 2007. The hitman recently enjoyed Oasis at Heaton Park courtesy of Noel even sharing the experience on his Instagram, calling it “The Bollocks”

He has even gone on record saying: “Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a world champion, support Man City, and listen to Oasis,”

According to The Sun, Oasis will pay tribute to Hatton at their penultimate Wembley gig later this month.

Noel capped his tribute calling Ricky Hatton ‘a lovely, lovely lad and a great mancunian.’

Ashcroft has been opening for the Mancunian icons for all their shows in the UK and Ireland. The Verve frontman and Cast have warmed the fans up in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, before Cage The Elephant will open for the Britpop giants for the North American leg of the tour.

The ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ singer has now praised Liam Gallagher and commended the discipline that he has shown while on the road.

Speaking with Chris Evans on Virgin Radio, Ashcroft said: “I’ve only seen Liam on stage, and I’ve got so much respect for that because every night is an opportunity to sort of celebrate in a way, but the guy has been so disciplined on this.

“I think the fans respect that, they can hear that, they can feel that. Whatever he’s doing, whatever his method is, is working, and I’ve got 100 per cent respect for him”

Liam has seemingly been on his best behaviour throughout the tour, with Far Out reporting that he did not attend the wrap party for the band and crew in Dublin on August 17. He also said on stage that it was the “soberest I’ve been in Ireland since I was about four or five.”

In the same discussion with Chris Evans, Ashcroft noted how he has seen Noel Gallagher multiple times before and after gigs, to the contrary of Liam: “He seems to be in great spirits and in a good place, and enjoying it. I think it was quite overwhelming the first one, I think it passed a bit like a movie. It wasn’t really a gig, it was beyond a gig that first Cardiff for them, it was surreal and probably overwhelming.”

Ashcroft’s comments have come just a couple of days after Noel spoke publicly for the first time about the tour. Speaking to talkSport’s Andy Goldstein, Noel mentioned how he was “proud” of his younger brother and that “Liam is smashing it”.

He also spoke about how he underestimated the emotions he would feel on the first night: “After about five minutes, I was like, alright can I just go back to the dressing room and start this again?

“I’ve done stadiums before and all that but I don’t mind telling you, my legs had turned to jelly after about halfway through the second song, and I could have done with going back and taking a minute. But it’s been an amazing thing.”

Oasis will now head to North America, with their next gig in Toronto, Canada on Sunday night. The Britpop icons will then return to Wembley Stadium for two more nights at the end of September.

Oasis have already played 17 shows out of a total of 41. They played in Dublin last weekend at Croke Park, and will head to North America before returning to the UK next month for more dates at Wembley Stadium.

This tour marks a huge moment for the brothers as they have had a rocky relationship over the past few years, including being involved in multiple public arguments and fights, which is what led to Oasis splitting up in 2009, but now they are reunited on stage.

Noel Gallagher has praised his brother in an interview with TalkSport where he said, “Liam’s smashing it and I’m proud of him.” He also described the feeling of being back in the band with Liam as great and forgot “how funny he was.”

So far on the tour, Oasis have sold out five nights at Wembley Stadium and five nights at Heaton Park. They have also sold out many other venues, resulting in almost one million tickets being bought, which has left the singers speechless.

Noel described his shock of how well the tour has done by saying, “It’s been truly amazing, I’m not usually short for words, but I can’t really articulate it at the moment.”

The singer-songwriter admitted that his legs “turned to jelly” during the first show in Cardiff back in July. He said that after about five minutes of the show, he wanted to go back into the dressing room and start again.

The concerts so far have had many memorable moments, including a marriage proposal at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. The band also dedicated their song ‘Stand By Me’ to their mother Peggy who was watching them in Dublin.

Oasis have had many famous faces go see them, including Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who got his own shout out, as well as Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney.

Oasis will next be in Canada, USA and Mexico later into this month and September before returning back to the UK for two shows at Wembley Stadium on September 27 and 28. The tour will then finish on November 23 in Brazil after visiting Argentina, Japan, Australia and more.

Gallagher is most looking forward to playing in Argentina at River Plate Stadium as he described it as “a special, special, special place for us.”

It’s the second to last show on the tour and Argentina is “in the top five places” for Oasis to play in the world and it’s the furthest place away from Ireland and Manchester.

The council – preparing for the band’s three sold-out shows at Murrayfield Stadium in August – made the remarks in safety briefings, pointing out their concerns with the gigs coinciding with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The information comes from the Scottish Sun, who claim that they requested the release of the documents under the freedom of information law. The leaked briefings are said to point out the “rowdiness” of Oasis fans which could create issues throughout the city.

Council officials warned that “middle-aged men take up more room, consider this when working out occupancy” as well as highlighting “concerns about crowds of Oasis on weekends as they are already rowdy and the tone of the band.”

There is also concern about the city’s main attraction – the Fringe Festival. The Fringe is one of the biggest comedy festivals in the world and takes over the city every year with hundreds of comics looking to make a name for themselves.

However, those within the council do not envisage a world in which Fringe comics and Oasis fans will peacefully coexist for a weekend. One comment in the documents read: “Concerned about the safety of the Fringe and its performers. Many performers are considering not attending for that weekend.”

Although the council is just doing their due diligence, Liam Gallagher didn’t take well to his loyal fans being targeted.

As someone who has been known to call his fans ‘Parka Monkeys’, Liam knows full well just how rowdy they can be… that’s what he loves about them.

Taking to Twitter, Liam addressed the concerns: “To the Edinburgh council I’ve heard what you said about OASIS fans and quite frankly your attitude fucking stinks I’d leave town that day if I was any of you lot.”

The leaked documents obviously struck a nerve, as he wasn’t done there: “I’d love to see a picture of all the people on the Edinburgh council bet there’s some real stunning individuals.

Following Liam’s comments, a local councillor was quick to jump to the defence of Edinburgh’s officials, saying it is usual practice for the council to “prepare extensively” for major events.

Margaret Graham continued, saying: “We’re very proud to host the biggest and best events in Edinburgh throughout the year, which bring in hundreds of millions of pounds to the local economy and provide unparalleled entertainment for our residents and visitors.

“As with any major event which takes place in the city, we prepare extensively alongside our partners to ensure the safety and best possible experience of everyone involved – and Oasis are no different.”

Oasis will head to Murrayfield Stadium in August, but before that, they kick off their massive sold-out tour in Cardiff in just a few weeks.

The band began rehearsals last month, with Liam joining up with Noel and co at the beginning of June. There was apparent leaked footage from that first rehearsal, check out the coverage on mxdwn here.

The rest of the band – which includes Noel, Gem Archer, Bonehead, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker – were pictured arriving for rehearsals last month as they looked to perfect the accompaniment for Liam’s powerful vocals.

It was reported at the time that Liam was resting up in the South of France before joining the rest of the band at the start of June.

When asked by fans how the rehearsals went, and how he feels to be back with his brother and the rest of the gang, he responded with: “SPIRITUAL” and “No time to get emotional we have a lot of catching up to do”.

There is now less than a month to go until the Gallagher brothers take the stage together for the first time since 2009, as they kick off the massive worldwide tour on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

The first day of the full band rehearsals were met with a ‘leaked’ video filmed down an alleyway next to where the band are apparently warming up for the gigs.

In it you can clearly hear the band performing ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ and the intro of ‘Fade Away’, however the validity of the video has been met with scepticism online.

Fans were quick to point out that the audio conveniently cut out just before Noel’s backing vocal’s in ‘Fade Away’ and that the outro to ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ sounded awfully similar to Liam’s solo band rather than Oasis.

However, Liam himself has spoken about the ‘leak’ on Twitter and although he hasn’t confirmed it, he also hasn’t denied it.

In response to a fan tweeting him about the video, Liam replied: “I am mega we’re all mega it’s punk rock man we’re not messing about little cupcakes must think we’re a pop band”.

Although this is far from confirmation, you’d think Liam wouldn’t be hesitant to call out the footage if it was indeed fake.

Fans have been patiently waiting to see Oasis back ever since the announcement last August, and now with only a month to go the excitement is building. Although there has been no official statement regarding who will join the brothers on stage, it has now become quite apparent.

NME were the first to claim that the band would consist of Andy Bell on bass, Gem Archer and Bonehead on guitar, and newcomer Joey Waronker on drums. This has since been all but confirmed following pictures of all members arriving at rehearsals, as seen below.

Oasis will kick things off on July 4 in Cardiff before heading for multiple dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium. They will then embark on a worldwide tour with dates in USA, Canada, Mexico, South America, Japan and Australia. Although all shows are sold out, keep an eye out for any late releases here.

  Cummins was at one time the chief photographer of British music magazine, the NME, spending 10 years in that position. His association with the magazine lasted for 25 years, and many of his previously published collections have centred around his time with that publication. These include books on Morrissey, The Fall, and New Order. His work has also been represented in various exhibitions over the years. Hailing from Manchester, much of his work has focussed on around bands from the North West, however he also documented Manchester City’s final season at Maine Road.  

According to a press release quoted by the NME, the book captures the band’s evolution during “twelve months of seismic change that cemented the identity of Oasis.” The book explores the links between the band, and aspects of their image, such as fashion, football, and everything in between. The same press release referred to this as the “just-bought-at-Affleck’s Palace attainability of their look.”

The book features over 150 photographs, with over three-quarters of the included images previously unreleased. The book’s greatest moments are when the band are caught off-guard, with the candid reflections revealing the dynamics of a band that would become global superstars in less than a year. Photos included in a Daily Mail exclusive showed images of Liam Gallagher standing on chairs, and wearing shower caps, with the paper also reporting that the images focussed more on the younger Gallagher, rather than his older brother, Noel.  

Promoting the book, Cummins appeared on Robert Elms’ BBC Radio London slot on 22 March. Discussing various elements of the portfolio, Cummins explained how the photos came about. He was asked to photograph the band by their label, Creation Records, who thought they’d get along given their shared support of Manchester City. He also shared that he is still friends with the brothers, seeing Noel more often than Liam. Recalling their first planned shoot, the photographer described how a session in Amsterdam was cancelled after the band got into a fight with Chelsea fans on the ferry crossing.

The book also features commentary and insights from Noel Gallagher, whose present day reflections put those candid moments in context. In a promotional quote for the book, Gallagher said: “This book really brings those early years back to me. Kevin’s photographs captured us at the very beginning. This is a must-have book for every Oasis fan.”

Oasis: The Masterplan is on sale now with an RRP of £35, though it is available for less from various retailers. Fan responses to Cummins through his social media were positive, with one X user saying, “Some lovely snaps! Good job you had a camera on you!” With fewer than 100 days until Oasis kick off their reunion tour, this book is almost certain to build even more excitement.

The reformed Oasis will perform 41 shows later this year, including a homecoming Manchester leg, as well as a seven nights at the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium. Joining them will be the Verve frontman, Richard Ashcroft, who was announced as one of two support acts for the UK and Ireland shows, with the other being indie band Cast. Upon being announced as a supporting artist, Ashcroft said, “As a fan from day one, I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’s return was announced. They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real, and I will always remember those days with joy.” Cage the Elephant are the only other support band that has been announced so far, opening up nine shows on the tour’s North American leg.    

Liam Gallagher has responded to the NME  article, posting on his X account: “NME tell me who your source pots are that keep giving you info about OASIS and I’ll give you an exclusive interview about up n coming OASIS tour you can have it all but how much do you want it.” A fan responded to his post asking if it really mattered with the tour only four months away, to which Liam cryptically replied, “That’s what broke Oasis up before.”

The return of Bonehead has been well-received, though the choice of Joey Waronker as drummer has been met with mixed feelings. Fans had been expecting a returning drummer from a previous lineup, such as Tony McCarroll, Alan White, or Zak Starkey. Questions have been asked about Waronker’s style gelling with the Oasis sound, though he did play with Liam Gallagher and John Squire on their 2024 album and subsequent tour.

Given the excitement around the potential lineup for one of the summer’s biggest music events, fans were flocking to Liam Gallagher’s X page to ask the singer for more details. He stated that the band would start rehearsing their material in June, just a month before their tour kicks off in Cardiff. This will be the first time that Bonehead has played with Oasis since 1999, though he has remained close to Liam, performing with Beady Eye and joining him on various solo tours in the years since. 

This has been a busy few weeks for Oasis fans, with lots to be excited about. It was revealed last week that the brothers had established a company with the purpose of developing a documentary of the upcoming tour. For now, though, the band remains quiet about both the lineup and the new business, refusing to confirm anything.

The move is reportedly an attempt to control the film’s direction, as they also did with 2021’s ‘Oasis Knebworth 1996’. That previous documentary was released under their still-existing company, Kosmic Kyte Ltd, which also lists co-manager Kyle McKinley as a person officer. Uprise North Ltd lists only the two brothers as officers, suggesting more control, or a change behind the scenes.

The Sun secured exclusive quotes from a source close to the situation, who claimed that streaming giants had expressed an interest in acquiring the rights to produce a documentary on the same subject. “They had endless offers from companies wanting to make and distribute their ­comeback film but by opening this new company, they appear to be taking total control”.  

Neither Gallagher has addressed the speculation head-on, however Liam has responded to fans on X. Responding to a question about an upcoming documentary ending up on Netflix, the singer said, “We’re not doing one.” Some took this as a cryptic message, hinting at more than one film or documentary in the works.  

The Oasis Live ‘25 tour was announced last year, and will see the band perform 41 confirmed shows worldwide. Among the tour dates are seven nights at Wembley Arena, and five more at Manchester’s Heaton Park. Even with multiple dates in the US, Australia, and more around the globe, the tour is dwarfed in scale by their previous tours supporting the albums ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’, which saw them perform 142 and 101 shows, respectively. Despite this, the 2025 shows will have an unprecedented cultural significance considering fans had been crying out for a reunion for 15 years.

The tour announcement hasn’t been without its issues, however. From the infamous dynamic pricing debacle, which led to accusations of price gouging, and more recently, an automated system mistakenly labelling genuine fans as bots, and refunding them their hard-earned tickets.

As fans on the r/Oasis subreddit pointed out, reunion documentaries are nothing new, and live albums often follow. Blur’s 2023 reunion saw them perform two shows at Wembley, with footage used in a documentary, and a live album released a year later. 

Though nothing is confirmed, the Companies House website records clearly show that something is happening. As The Sun’s source put it, “Noel and Liam set the narrative from the start on their comeback, and they want to be in control of whatever ­happens during and after the shows. It has been a very long time coming, and they do not want to disappoint.”

Ever since Liam and Noel Gallagher announced they were reforming Oasis for a massive 2025 world tour, speculation has been swirling about who would join them in the new-look band. Now, Liam has finally put an end to the rumours—though his revelation is anything but expected.

In a move no one saw coming, he confirmed that former members Gem Archer, Bonehead, Andy Bell, and Zak Starkey will not be part of the reunion. Instead, the reformed Oasis will reportedly feature Peppa Pig on drums, Bert and Ernie on lead guitar and bass, and a character from ‘Fingerbobs‘ on keyboards. The surreal lineup didn’t stop there. When a fan asked if Muppets icon Miss Piggy would be involved, Liam confirmed that she would be Oasis’ tour manager. And as for her long-time companion, Kermit the Frog? According to Liam, the beloved amphibian might have a more questionable role as the tour drug dealer. But one thing’s for sure—he knows how to keep fans talking.

The brothers will be undertaking a much awaited, completely sold out (and, crazy expensive) tour this year, after years of feuding between the two. In their statement announcing the tour, Oasis declared: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

However, the excitement quickly soured when ticket sales began last August, with fans expressing outrage over the use of “dynamic pricing.” Tickets, originally priced at £148, soared to as high as £355, causing backlash from those who had waited for hours in online queues. Ticketmaster’s pricing strategy was slammed as “scandalous” by many, adding a layer of frustration to an otherwise jubilant reunion.
