Five Finger Death Punch (FFDP) formed in Las Vegas in 2005, releasing their explosive debut ‘The Way Of The Fist’ in 2007. A ferocious, fast-paced blitz of heavy metal with emotional themes, the LP and its lead single ‘The Bleeding’ won the band a large audience almost immediately. Since its release, FFDP have become one of the biggest American bands in the genre, releasing 9 hugely-popular albums and breaking a record on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart for most consecutive number one singles. Last year’s ‘The End feat. Babymetal’ became their 13th chart-topper in a row, their 17th overall, and the first to use Japanese lyrics.

With 20 years passing since their inception, the band announced a massive 48-show US tour two weeks ago, as the first part of a world tour reveal. Today’s set of dates for the UK and Europe was just the second instalment in a bigger list of anniversary celebrations, as founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory says – “This World Tour is the celebration that milestone deserves. First leg is America in 2026, then Europe in 2027, and we’re not stopping there! South America, Australia, Asia are all in the talks. This is going to be a big two or three years for Five Finger Death Punch, and we’re just getting started.“

The tour opens in January next year with five dates in Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham and London, before travelling across mainland Europe. FFDP will be bringing US metal veterans Lamb Of God along for all but the Prague and Copenhagen shows, as well as Scottish modern-metal titans Bleed From Within for all dates. The UK and Ireland shows for January 2027 are:

22 – BP Pulse Arena, Birmingham
23 – The O2, London

According to Kerrang, the setlist for the 20th anniversary tour will include songs from across their career, ranging from their 2007 debut to as-yet unreleased music from their rumoured 10th album. The band’s last releases were their 2025 ‘Best Of’ re-recording compilations – re-tracked and reissued after former label ‘Prospect Park’ sold the master recordings without FFDP’s consent.

Lamb of God are set to be joined by a myriad of exciting support bands, including German thrash metal band Kreator, Arizona-based death metal group Gatecreeper and Australian deathcore giants Thy Art Is Murder, who are joining the tour in place of crossover thrash band Power Trip.

The news comes amidst many reports of bands who are unfortunately having to postpone tours in Europe and the UK due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions in certain EU territories. In recent news, heavy metal band Trivium have pushed their UK tour all the way back to 2023, and UK groups such as Squid and Black Country, New Road have been forced to pull out of shows in Spain due to difficulties obtaining visas. Lamb of God are long-standing titans in the world of heavy music, having formed all the way back in 1994 under the name Burn the Priest. Presently, the band’s line-up consists of vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Willie Adler and Mark Morton, bassist John Campbell and drummer Art Cruz. The band currently has eight studio albums under their belt as Lamb of God, and two under the Burn the Priest moniker. The band’s self-titled album was released in May last year and received generally positive reviews from both fans and critics, with the likes of NME, Consequence of Sound and Kerrang! speaking favourably of it. Lamb of God have recently concluded a tour of the United States with Megadeth, Trivium and Hatebreed that ran from August 20^th to September 28^th. The tour was originally supposed to finish with three Canadian dates; however, this was unfortunately not possible due to COVID-related restrictions in the province of Quebec.

The State of Unrest tour is set to hit the UK in December of 2022. Tickets can be bought here, and the dates are listed down below.
