Our country music’s next star, Margo Price, has come forward with a re-invention of her recent release “Change Of Heart” in collaboration with Sierra Ferrell, another big country name. Stolen from her recent album release Stray, they come together to mould the song into a more stripped back and acoustic version.

The original release charted as number 1 during 14 consecutive days in America. While the guitar riffs evoke us into an alt-rock subsequence after following her country voice of silk, you can’t help but fall for the electronic blues smothering, making up the whole song. Never failing to transition her songwriting into novel-like stories, she captured the backbone of the song and has revealed its core meaning in this new collaborative version.

Following her Stray and “Change Of Heart” release, she will be taking to the stage in London. On the 25th of August she will be hosting an intimate show at the Lafayette venue in South London. However, she has just announced an additional gig in the UK, following right after el London appearance. On the 26th August she will be performing at The London Road Festival in Bottesford.

These London appearances aren’t the only plans in her diary, though. The singer has a long journey ahead of her, visiting amphitheatre performances as well as arena bookings of which she will be sharing these dates with artists such as Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers and Willie Nelson. She is now making her way through the United States and will be wrapping up on the 6th October, alongside Stapleton, at the Bryce Jordan Centre found in Pennsylvania.

Price took to this album in a kind, yet diligent, manner. Praising herself and observing the happenings of the outer world around her from a safe distance. A freedom-filled and mushroom fueled workpiece, taken to an asserted appreciation of her surroundings. This is her fourth studio album and a landmark in breaking the long awaited collaboration between the two country/folk singers on “Change Of Heart”.

During Women’s History Month, Margo Price says, “I’m real excited to share this stripped down take on ‘Change of Heart’ featuring Sierra Ferrell. Sierra is one of my favorite new voices in music and I loved getting to work with her on this acoustic version of the song.” She continues “I love to lift up other women in the genre when I see somebody putting out great art. In an industry that tries to drive us apart, it’s freeing to break down those barriers and say, “there is room for everyone.”

The brits should consider purchasing a London show to see Margo Price because, due to her track record, she doesn’t step on English grounds very often. Her last gig in the UK sits back in March, 2018, when she played at the Country 2 Country Festival hosted at the O2.

Tickets are available here.

Indie-pop icon Declan Mckenna has shared footage of his one-off livestream show at London’ Lafyette. The livestream originally took place on September 4th, in celebration of the release of his second album ‘ZEROS’, which debuted on the same day. The video came as a surprise to fans, with Mckenna putting the venue online without warning, as a festive offering. “Happy Christmas everyone, thanks for all your support in 2020,” the artist wrote in the description of the upload.

In the video, McKenna and his band perform the album in entirety to an empty venue, before returning to the stage for an encore, in which he played singles such as British Bombs, Brazil, Make Me Your Queen, and Listen To Your Friends. Though only an hour long, the artist remained electric throughout, putting on a show and performing with unmatchable charisma, despite the lack of crowds. Fans reacted wildly to the surprise upload, with the comment sections flooded with comments praising the performance, as well as the artist’s charm.

ZEROS has been named one of the top album releases of 2020, with The Guardian giving it four stars, and journalist Alexis Petridis stating, ‘McKenna’s second album is in thrall to pop’s 1970s glam heroes, but his lyrics ponder today’s struggles, from the climate crisis to social media.’

When speaking of the album, McKenna detailed the evolution of his sound, stating, “I’ve been listening to a lot of old Dylan records, these really raw recordings, and really appreciating that energy. I just wanted to get in a room with a group of musicians and not get it too ‘right’. The sound to me developed in that way. There’s a lot of ’70s references, a lot of Waterboys and Crosby, Stills and Nash, but it still feels modern to me. It definitely feels like a natural progression from the first one.”

Reportedly, indie pop band Blossoms will play at Lafayette, a new venue at King’s Cross, London. The band is among many names, such as HMLTD, X Ambassadors, and D Double E, confirmed to play at such venue that will open February next year.

London will see a launch of new music venue Lafayette February next year. The venue is run by Ben Lovett, a member of Mumford & Sons, who also owned Omeara—a music venue in the area of London Bridge opened in 2016. Despite its short period of launching, Omeara has hosted numerous gigs for big-name artists like Anne-Marie and Jake Bugg.

On February 2020, Lovett will kick off his second venue Lafayett in the area of King’s Cross. The venue is located very near to Granary Square. Moreover, this upcoming 600-capacity music setting already announced its first promising shows during the opening month. Lafayette will host its very initial gig from HMLTD, emerging London glam rock band, on February 20. Among the names of performers include American alternative band X Ambassadors, British grime artist D Double E, and Oxfordshire singer Willie J Healey. What’s more exciting is the venue will hold a three-day residency from Robert Glasper, a producer and pianist from the US. Lafayette is part of the Goods Way space, a new marketplace that combines spots for live music with street food and bars.

Also, Blossoms is set to release their third LP Foolish Loving Spaces out January 31. The Stockport band already shared “Your Girlfriend” and “The Keeper” as first tastes from the upcoming album. Blossoms, furthermore, will go on their headlining tour in the UK in March and support The Killers’ Imploding the Mirage Tour next year.
