This is not the first time the 2001 classic pop hit has been reimagined on stage, three years ago Coldplay and Minogue treated Glastonbury to a now legendary duet. The set took place in 2019 and has been named the most watched Glastonbury performance. Minogue was billed to play the coveted Sunday teatime slot on the Pyramid Stage known as the Legends’ slot, during the set she was joined by Coldplay and both acts performed an acoustic cover of “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”.

The next performance at the New Jersey venue also saw Coldplay duet with another highly influential musician, during the set on Sunday 5th June 2022, the band shared the stage with New Jersey’s hometown hero Bruce Springsteen. The live partnership included such tracks as Springsteen’s classic hit “Dancing In The Dark” and the 2009 single “Working On A Dream”. During the once in the lifetime concert, Springsteen spoke to the crowd concerning frontman Chris Martin’s relationship with “Working On A Dream”, he stated, “Chris said he had this song tattooed on his arm for a while, so I guess I’ve got to sing it with him.”

Both sets were part of the “Yellow” hitmakers’ Music Of The Spheres world tour, the group embarked on the tour in support of their ninth studio album Music of the spheres. The tour began this spring with the first performance taking place on 18th March 2022 at Costa Rica’s Estadio Nacional. The band are currently finishing the tour’s US leg and will perform a set in Florida on 14th June 2022. The European leg of the global tour begins on 2nd July 2022 with a set in Germany, after over fifteen European performances Coldplay will play a whopping seven dates at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The band’s ongoing global tour has promised to operate in an environmentally conscious fashion, the tour plans to reduce its emissions by half in comparison to their prior concert series. The multiple Brit award winners recently announced the supporting acts for the UK and European dates of the tour, H.E.R. and London Grammar were confirmed to play alternate dates with Griff and Laura Mvula also now added to the roster.

Future Nostalgia is the latest Dua Lipa album, released in March earlier this year. Last month Dua Lipa hosted a livestream concert called Studio 2054 which featured many artists, including Kylie, and was the first and only time Dua Lipa has performed her latest music to an audience. Future Nostalgia has been met which critical acclaim in 2020, earning prestigious Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Her biggest single Don’t Start Now skyrocketed to the top of the charts worldwide and brought Dua Lipa do a different level of success than she had seen in the previous years of her career.

The collaboration with Dua Lipa is coveted now that she dominated the chart-topping throne, but it is no surprise that Kylie managed to work with the pop star considering Kylie’s latest album Disco has received just as much critical acclaim in the year 2020. Acting as a comeback for the sensational pop icon, many tracks in the latest record have become comfortable in the UK top 100 hits, including her tracks Say Something and Magic.

2020 has not seen either pop star touring worldwide or even in the UK because of safety concerns surrounding the year-long Covid-19 pandemic struggle. However, Dua Lipa will begin her Future Nostalgia tour in September 2021, after releasing new tour-dates just a few weeks ago. Kylie has not announced any tour dates for 2021 as of yet, however, she is hosting a livestream concert today on New Years Eve.

The previously released singles off the new album are the tracks Magic, Say Something and I Love It. The new album has an additional 9 more songs, making it a 12 track album. Kylie has also released a Deluxe Version of Disco which has an edition 4 more tracks Till You Love Somebody, Fine Wine, Hey Lonely and Spotlight. 

The pop princess has already received massive critical praise for her 15th studio album and has been very busy promoting Disco around London throughout the day. Kylie’s day began celebrating the album release at 8am on BBC Radio 2.

The singer went on to perform acoustic live-versions of 4 songs off her new album for The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show. She was then scheduled to co-host The Top 10 right after on The Greatest Hits Radio with Mark Goodier at 10am.

Later in the day Kylie has expanded to American audiences with her performance of her track Say Something on the show Good Morning America at 1:30 UK time. Since, she has also released a slew of media posts promoting the new release and thanking different music outlets and fans for the overwhelming praise and support.

The Australian born singer is hosting a ‘Disco Listening Party’ tonight for the new album and a special Q&A for the fans. The show is going from 5pm and on indeterminately, the gig will be hosted by Facebook as a platform.

Notably, among the promotional events Kylie has been attending today, she is also hosting a ticketed livestream concert tomorrow, Saturday November 7th. The virtual live-show is scheduled for 8pm in the UK and will be called ‘Kylie: Infinite Disco’, the gig will see the singer performing her new pop tracks to a global audience and calling it a  ‘worldwide performance spectacular’.
