The Khruangbin London Gunnersbury Park show was announced in October, setting the date for Friday, August 15. It’s set to be the band’s biggest UK headline show yet. Also appearing as support are TV On The Radio, a Brooklyn-based art rock group who have reunited in the past year after going on hiatus in 2015.

Khruangbin released their fourth album, ‘A La Sala’ in 2024, receiving positive reviews from most music publications. NME highlighted the albums production, commenting that “Each song is appropriately seasoned with dubby beats, field recordings, hooky guitar riffs and basslines, all distinct enough to pique your attention but never dominating space.” The release managed to land in the top 40 of the Billboard 200, and the band were also nominated at the 2025 Grammys for ‘Best New Artist’.

The band spoke to The Independent about the freeing recording process behind the album, with bassist Laura Lee saying “I think because we had just been through a process of collaborating quite a lot, it felt important for us to just huddle, just the three of us. When it’s just the three of us, it’s like a deep breath and a collective sigh.”

Palace also released their fourth album in 2024, bringing out ‘Ultrasound’, an atmospheric, uplifting release with sweeping, cinematic textures. They also dropped an EP titled ‘Greyhound’ at the start of 2025.

TV On The Radio recently announced their first live performances in 5 years, and are also bringing out a 20th anniversary re-issue of their renowned debut, ‘Desperate Youth’. NoSo hasn’t brought out any projects since 2022’s highly acclaimed debut, ‘Stay Proud Of Me’, but they recently performed at the Off The Grid Campout: Austin 2025 event.

After the release of ‘A La Sala’, Khruangbin put on three back-to-back shows at the Eventim Apollo in London. The Evening Standard gave a positive review, claiming that their concert goers “might be watching the best band in the world.”

The UK’s first-ever craft beer music festival has announced the latest addition to their line-up. Three weeks ago we found out about the first two headliners, namely ‘Madchester’ icons Happy Mondays and Canadian composer Caribou. If you want to read more about this, you can look here. Suffice to say, they promised us then that a third member would be revealed soon enough, and they’ve finally delivered.

Texas trio Khruangbin will be filling the third spot, giving some of the festival’s US fans something to look forward to. Hot off their latest collaboration with songwriter Leon Bridges (some of whose latest endeavours can be read about here), their EP Texas Moon (released February 18th) debuted at no.4 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart, with The FADER arguing its music was a match for the likes of “Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love Baby,” and Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing““.

The group will be making their way to the UK, visiting Buckinghamshire’s Claydon Estate and making the most of the weekend, which lasts from June 17th-19th. Some other acts that have been recently announced include Maya Jane Coles, Island of Love and Puppy (who’ve also been recently announced for the 2000trees festival in July, which you can read about here).

However, music is only one side of the story here. There’s also the beer, the importance of which can’t be understated. Early last February, it was already known who some of the manufacturers were that would be helping out (e.g. Braybrooke, Two Tribes and Verdant). But there’s been more on the way since then. The likes of Amundsen, Brew York and Mondo are just some of the new names on their latest line-up, so don’t worry; there’s plenty for all!

If you’re interested, standard adult weekend tickets are £150, and this includes the booking fee. You can look at this link to get tickets. As for youths (13-17), they get off lightly, with £90 tickets available for the early release. Kids are £40 in addition to the booking fee.

As for Khruangbin, like many other artists, they’re making the most of the world opening up, embarking on a tour around America and Europe. Three UK performances in the middle of April are upcoming; one in London’s Alexandra Palace (April 14th), one in Glasgow’s O2 Academy (April 15th) and the other in Manchester’s O2 Apollo (April 16th). A full list of tour dates and ticket options can be seen on their website here.

Grammy Award-winning artist and songwriter Leon Bridges has announced a new tour which will see him supported by Swedish electronic group Little Dragon. Titled The Boundless Tour, Bridges will be seen visiting over twenty cities in North America.

Hot off his latest EP collaboration with Texas group Khruangbin (titled Texas Moon and released yesterday), the new dates are only the latest addition to his already extensive touring schedule. Other artists who will be seen supporting Bridges include Chiiild, an experimental soul group from Canada, and Kirby.

Bridges has said on his excitement over touring that “Live performance has always been a constant in my life, from the early days of my debut album Coming Home to all of the global festivals and the more recent Gold-Diggers Sound album …. I feel the most alive on stage and cannot wait to … celebrate with my fans. We are going to put on a truly unforgettable live show.“

Yo! I’m excited to announce my new tour, “ The Boundless Tour” and this time I’m rockin with @LittleDragon! Whether you’ve been here since day one, came in through the Khru EPs or my collaborations, or saw me this past Fall on the Gold-Diggers Sound club tour, pic.twitter.com/PpYtRoYSvL

— Leon Bridges (@leonbridges) February 17, 2022

The new tour is only another sign of the good fortune Bridges’ career has had over the past few years. Being nominated for Grammies is a regular occurrence for him, winning Best Traditional R&B Performance in 2019 for his single “Bet Ain’t Worth The Hand“. His latest album, Gold-Diggers Sound, has also been nominated for Best R&B Album, but we’re still waiting to hear the Grammies verdict on that one.

However, maybe the acclaim of his latest EP with Khruangbin is enough. Bridges certainly got a lot out of making it, believing that “we’re redefining how people perceive Texas music—that beautiful marriage of country and R&B—and really paying homage to that“. Whatever the case, the critics seemed to love it, with The FADER arguing that it “Could easily sit next to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love Baby,” and Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing“.

Occurring on September 1st-4th, the festival is a big event for fans of rock and folk music, having sold out every year since 2008 to the thousands of fans it attracts. Debuting in 2006 and created by friends Simon Taffe and Sofia Hagberg, it’s held centre stage to a whole host of well-known artists, and has even won a Best Small Festival Award four times since its inception.

Simon Taffe had this to say: “I’m beyond excited about our 2022 line-up, which features artists we’ve been asking to play since 2006 and includes some of the greatest songwriters of all time in my opinion …. We have all been through a lot together and it feels good to be back, and to finally be able to dance with friends and artists from all over the world again.”

The festival takes place in Larmer Tree Gardens and features a host of attractions, with a film tent, a games area (ping-pong and table football catch your fancy?) and late-night entertainment for those of you into your karaoke. Camping is an option, so you can make the most of the four-day festivities whilst you’re there.

Despite being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the festival came back in full swing last year, receiving a five-star review in The Independent and hosting names such as Damon Albarn, Little Simz, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Hot Chip. Hopefully, 2022 can see the festival’s legacy carried on as live music makes its tentative comeback across the world, with artists such as Black Midi, The Magnetic Fields and Yard Act also part of the line-up this year. For a more full list, you can look here.

However, in terms of festival news, that’s not all. Parklife announced today that 50 Cent, Megan Thee Stallion and Tyler, the Creator will all be part of the line-up at Heaton Park in June. Other well-known artists involved include rapper Headie One, Lewis Capaldi and up-and-coming star PinkPantheress. Tickets for this one will be on sale to all next Thursday. If interested, you can go here.
