The tour, initially planned to kick off last year, was delayed until next year after COVID-19 restrictions cancelled essentially everyone’s plans. But according to Bieber in a press release with NME, “We’ve been working hard to create the best show we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the world. I’ll see you soon,”. So fans should be confident the tour will be well worth the wait.

The UK gigs will take place after a 52-night tour of the US, after being rescheduled to March – June of 2022. Bieber will then visit Europe, South America, Africa, and Australia, before returning to Europe for the UK shows almost a full year after the tour begins. As of yet, the tour is set to finish in Poland on March 25^th 2023. See the full list of dates on the world tour here.

So far, the only support act announcement to be made for any dates with Bieber is with Jaden Smith, Eddie Benjamin, and TEO performing on the North American Leg of the tour. The other 4 legs of the tour will be given tour support presumably in the not so distant future.

Bieber has also announced his involvement with The Wave XR, a digital concert-going experience. His final performance with the service will be today. See below for details on how to catch the final date.

Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian singer who rose to fame at the age of 13 when Scooter Braun discovered him by accident on Youtube whilst searching for another music artist. Justin Bieber was then signed to Braun’s and US singer Usher’s joint venture Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG). Usher also became Bieber’s musical mentor and he released his debut album My World 2.0 in 2010 following his EP My World released in 2009. The singer’s My World 2.0 album received a posiitve reception and charted at number 1 in the US Billboard 200 Album Charts. Bieber has also had 7 UK number 1 singles in the UK Official Singles Charts.

The album spawned debut hit single “Baby” and the singer continued his successful run with solo releases and collaborative work with various artists. Bieber is known for hit singles “You’re All That Matters To Me”, “Where Are You Now”, (Featuring Skrillex and Diplo) “Holy” (Featuring Chance The Rapper) and his recent single release “Peaches” (Featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon) which reached number 1 in the US Charts and has gained 2.5 million streams to date. Both singles “Holy” and “Peaches” are from the singer’s eighth number 1 smash hit US album and number 2 UK album Justice. The singer has named his upcoming tour after his latest smash hit album.

Bieber’s world tour announcement comes after he recently announced the North America leg of his tour that will include a 52-day stint of performances and is due to kick off in February 2022. The singer’s Justice World Tour will be his first tour since his 2016/ 2017 Purpose Tour named after his album Purpose released in 2015. The upcoming tour had to be rescheduled due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Bieber expressed his delight of his upcoming tour following his live stream Los Angeles New Years concert in 2020  and said “We’ve been working hard to create the best show we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the world”

The singer’s first UK date will be on February 8th 2023 and will run for six days with European dates before and after the UK leg of his global tour. Bieber’s tour is expected to sell out in record time due to his album Justice being deemed the most-streamed album in 117 countries. Bieber will be performing as a digital avatar during a virtual gig on November 18th and released his Justice: The Complete Edition album in October with three additional singles. This will be seen as a musical treat, for the singer’s followers who will be waiting in anticipation for him to reach their shores during his Justice World Tour.

This is not the first time the NHS choir has had a run in with Justin Bieber. Five years ago, Justin and the NHS choir were both in the run for Christmas #1 but Justin tweeted telling fans to but the NHS song, A Bridge Over You instead of his song Love Yourself. He tweeted at the time; “For one week it’s ok not to be Number One. Let’s do the right thing and help them win. It’s Christmas.” He then went on to present the choir with their Official Christmas Number One Chart Award.

They have now all joined forces to recognise and praise the work the NHS has done during the COVID-19 pandemic, the proceeds from this track will be split between NHS Charities Together, which represents over 230 NHS charities and the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity.

In a statement, Justin said; “It’s great to be reunited with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS choir as we share a fun bit of UK chart history together, especially in these difficult times, I’m humbled to team up with them for a charity single that will benefit NHS workers on the frontlines of this pandemic and pay tribute to their unbelievable dedication.”

Caroline Smith, Children’s Community Physiotherapist and leader of the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir, added; “Justin Bieber helped make our dreams come true in 2015 and he’s doing the same this year; we really can’t thank him enough for the chance to work with him on this wonderful, uplifting song. We’re so proud to represent Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and all the heroes in the NHS.”

Jess has previously had seven UK Number 1’s, which is the most ever for a British Female solo artist. Her new festive song is in the running for a Christmas UK Number 1 hit. Signed CD and Vinyl copies of the single will be available to purchase from Amazon UK from the 18th December, a week before the Christmas Number 1 is revealed.

Official Charts have reported Jess to have said about her new Christmas song, “I chose ‘This Christmas’ by Donny Hathaway as I love the tone of this record and I’m thankful that Amazon Music have given me the opportunity to do my own version of it for them. This year has been such a hard one and there’s no doubt this Christmas is going to be difficult for so many people. Music is so important as it gives us moments of escapism and I think more than ever having an uplifting feel good song is so necessary.”

Bieber has had recent success with his new release ‘Holy’ featuring Chance the rapper, taken from his sixth ‘new era’ studio album, which went straight to Number 1 in the UK’s Official Trending Chart. Speaking about his new Christmas cover, Bieber said to NME, “‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ has always been one of my favourite songs to celebrate the holidays and I’m excited to team up with Amazon Music to share my own version, with my fans.” 

As well as these two tracks exclusive to the streaming service, other artists taking part in the programme include Mary J Blige, who has covered Whams ‘Last Christmas’ and Jamie Cullum who is releasing a version of ‘In The Bleak Mid Winter.’ Lennon Stella has also joined the programme with her rendition of the Carpenter’s song ‘Merry Christmas Darling,’ along with Carrie Underwood who’s releasing her original track ‘Favourite Time Of Year.’

The vice president of Music Industry at Amazon Music, Ryan Redington said to NME, “This Christmas season, it’s important for us to bring our customers more reasons to smile, and to create ways for them to connect with their favourite artists while at home with family.”  Katie Perry was the artist to put out a festive tune through the Amazon original series with ‘Cozy Little Christmas,’ which peaked in the charts at number 22. Last year Ellie Goulding celebrated her first chart topper in four years with her rendition of the Joni Mitchell song, ‘River’ which went straight to Number 1.

Patrick Clifton, head of Amazon Music UK  told NME, “After Katy Perry’s top forty Christmas Original in 2018 and Ellie Goulding’s ‘River’ topping the charts last year, we’re really excited for our listeners to hear Jess Glynne’s take on the Donny Hathaway classic, as well as the rest of the collection of Christmas Originals that will connect music fans with some of their favourite artists.”

The singer-songwriter’s acoustic pop style goes perfectly in tune with the song, already gaining 38,00 Spotify plays. In fact, his followers liked the cover so much that he posted a video of him singing it live to Instagram, playing simple chords on a piano and singing just like his official recording.

‘Sorry’ is an excellent example of Donovan’s musical style and the first cover he has ever officially recorded. The artist used the song to promote his debut album ‘Homesick’, made up of familiar songs from his EP of the same name, singles ‘Pieces’ and ‘Vienna’, as well as two new songs. The title track was also released as an acoustic single in November 2019 and was the only song from the album to get a music video (out now on YouTube with 97,000 views).

Declan J Donovan may sound like he’s been on the music scene for a long time, but he only really began his music career in 2017 when he uploaded a song to Soundcloud which he wrote for his brother’s wedding. The song ended up earning 2 million streams on the website with no promotion and since then, he has gone on to tour with amazing artists Jake Bugg and Freya Ridings. He has also put out numerous singles; ‘Pieces’ received more than 10 million streams on all platforms.

Justin Bieber’s original recording of ‘Sorry’, co-written with Julia Michaels and other experienced industry songwriters, is from his fourth studio album ‘Purpose’, and reached number 1 on the UK Singles charts. The mainstream pop singer has yet to comment on the cover as he focuses on promoting his new single ‘Yummy’.

The release comes after news of a new collaborative single dropped, at the start of the week with both Sheeran and Bieber taking to social media to announce the news. Revealing the news, of the upcoming release of new collaborative single ‘I Don’t Care’, which has been produced by Max Martin, Shellback and FRED, on social media, Sheeran wrote: “Me and Justin Bieber have got a new song out. It’s called ‘I Don’t Care’, I hope you like it.”

The17-year-old boy who cannot be named due to his age was arrested on June 30th, hours before the concert began. According to The Guardian, the boy had researched the level of security that would surround a Bieber concert and wrote a “martyrdom letter” which read “I am a soldier of the Islamic State. I have attacked Cardiff today because your government keeps on bombing targets in Syria and Iraq. There will be more attacks in the future.”

Police raided the boys South Wales home and found a claw hammer and a gutting knife in his school rucksack.

Birmingham Crown Court jurors were also told that the boy had written a note that had points such as “run down the non-believers with a car” and “strike the infidels who oppose Allah in the neck”, However, the defendant claimed that he was only interested in gore, and did not intend on carrying out the terrorist attack. He insisted that it was sheer curiosity, stating “I wanted to see how easy it was for people who had an interest in terrorism to go online and get information because the police and the government are trying to crack down on terrorism and radicalisation. I wanted to see if it was possible, not for me but from someone else’s point of view.”

However, investigations into the boys’ internet history painted a different light, with the police finding that the defendants interest in ISIS began a year before in June 2016, where it was found he was searching for details about ISIS fighter names JIhadi John, alongside looking up the attacks that took place in London, France, and Germany. By June of this year, the boy was posting images encouraging a terrorist attack in Cardiff, via Instagram.

Although the boy pleads innocence and says his actions were down to curiosity, Sue Hemming, from the Crown Prosecution Service says “this teenager’s behavior over many months leaves no doubt that he intended to kill and maim as many people as possible in an attack reminiscent of the incident on Westminster Bridge. The CPS presented overwhelming evidence that he was prepared to die for an extremist worldview and he will now rightly face the prospect of a substantial prison sentence.”

The boy will remain in custody until a hearing on January 18th, 2018.

So far he’s stopped singing during his Birmingham and Manchester gigs, to tell fans to ‘shut up’ and called them ‘obnoxious’ for screaming during his performances.

“Try and stay as quiet as possible. You can scream as much as you want afterwards but while I’m singing try and stay quiet.” The Canadian pop star told the crowd in Manchester. According to the Sun, Bieber apparently became irritated as he tried to explain the reasoning behind the title of his global tour, which he said was “because everyone in here has a purpose”. He then felt that the crowd didn’t care about what he had to say. He told the arena: “I just thought I could have a moment to say something. I can cut the b**s*** if you want. I’m trying to engage but if you guys don’t want to I’ll play the music.”

During his show at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena, the 22-year-old decided to tell his fans off for screaming. “Guys, can you do me a favour? Can you guys just relax for like two seconds? I’m like two feet away from you, I can hear you,” he said after one song.

He told the crowd in Birmingham: “I appreciate it, I appreciate all the love, it’s amazing, but can you show it in a different way? Screaming is just so obnoxious.”

He then went on to try and justify his outburst to his loyal fans, who turned up to see him: “Scream after the songs? Enjoy the songs, then scream, screaming is awesome. Screaming is fun.

“Then take a chill pill for a second and just listen to me speak. I don’t feel like I’m being heard some times and it gets a little frustrating. If, when I’m speaking, you guys could not scream at the top of your lungs. Is that cool with you guys?”

Some fans took to Twitter to express their upset at what Justin said. One fan and Hollyoaks star Nadine Mulkerrin tweeted: “(@nadinerose_x) We love your music but you are RUDE!!!!!!!!”

But others understood his rage and defended him. @revivalsbiebers tweeted “imagine having justin bieber wanting to interact with you but yet you decide to scream at him and force him to stop…..tragic”

However, this isn’t the first time that Bieber has had an altercation with his fans. Earlier this year he said he didn’t want fans to ask him for photos any more because they made him “feel like a zoo animal”.

The Canadian star will play two more dates at Manchester Arena on Saturday and Sunday night.

So, last month, when Justin Bieber attended a night out in the Cle nightclub in Houston, Texas, he allegedly reacted to someone filming him when apparently Bieber was drinking a ‘beer bong’ and ended up smashing up the device.

This has resulted in a $100,000 lawsuit against Bieber from the alleged victim which centres around the loss of business contacts and photographic memories.

Only last week Bieber was criticised at another party in Toronto for having a live tiger! An animal rights organisation made a statement:

“Tigers used in this way are denied everything that they need to be happy, and we can only imagine that the tiger Justin posed with has experienced a life of misery.

And now there’s yet another story: Bieber was recently filmed in New York hurling the Argentinian flag out of the window of a car which, after it was spread through social media, sparked outrage in Argentina. It seems a 15-year-old fan had approached the 4×4 vehicle and handed Bieber the flag. Mouthing ‘Go away!’ It seems fans had once again hit a sore point with the 22-year-old singer.

Bieber makes a brief appearance in the UK this summer beginning with the V-Festival and an autumn date at the O2. Approach if you dare!

Bieber’s single ‘Love Yourself’ was pretty much guaranteed to be top of the charts come Christmas day however this surprising act of kindness from the Canadian singer potentially means he has ceded the race to the NHS Choir.
