The highly anticipated shows are the very first opportunity for UK fans to witness Jimmy Eat World perform their classic fourth studio album, ‘Bleed American’ in its wondrous entirety from front to back, Alongside this, fans can expect a catalogue of other hits from their discography, it’s definitely one not to miss.

‘Bleed American’ holds a noteworthy impact on the introduction of alternative and emo rock into the mainstream music world. This is solely due to the success of the notorious single, ‘The Middle.’ Jimmy Eat world will forever be a household name in the residence of the alternative and pop-punk scene. Released post 9/11, Americans everywhere were reeling at the lasting consequences of the attacks. ‘Bleed American,’ specifically ‘The Middle,’ became a signal of unity and hope comforting individuals during a remarkably tragic time. The album continued to maintain chart success, every single charting in the top twenty of at least one US chart, with ‘The Middle’ reaching an astonishing No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. As of 2025, ‘The Middle’ has surpassed an impressive 1 billion streams on Spotify, placing it in the Billion streams club.

The exciting UK touchdown begins on August 14 in Yorkshire’s Halifax, The Piece Hall, before the band make their way over to Cardiff Castle on August 15 then finalising their UK run August 16 in London’s Gunnersbury Park.
The London Gunnersbury Park date is set to be the bands biggest ever UK show to date and tickets are guaranteed to fly out.

The group have influenced an impressive array of modern artists including Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, All Time Low, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday and even Taylor Swift. Their lasting authority over modern music is a testament to the legend status.
This reveal was not announced before the band had a little bit of fun teasing fans last week. Bowling trophies symbolic of the ‘Bleed American’ album cover were spotted in little nooks outside the booked UK venues featuring the band members’ names.

This is not just your average tour; it is a celebration of one of the most important albums in alternative rock history. With a carefully hand-picked list of support acts to ensure a high-energy, classic punk rock show.

Not embarking on this venture alone, the guys are joined by special guests, Rise Against, The Get Up Kids and Jay Som. This is simply music to the ears of those who grew up on early 2000’s rock, bound to be a grand night of nostalgia.

Jimmy Eat World are coming back to the UK, and they are bringing PUP with them. The pair are hitting the road together this November and they are wrapping up their tour at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Jimmy Eat World have just announced a UK and European headline tour.

The Arizona pop-punk heroes will be crossing the pond with the powerful PUP, in November, for a seven-date run at some huge venues, including their biggest ever headline show in the capital — at London’s Ally Pally.

This is Jimmy Eat World’s first time across the water in some years after having headlined 2000trees in 2022. What’s even more exciting is a press release that teases that Jimmy Eat World are currently in the studio ‘working on new music’. So, it is possible to see a setlist that contains the bangers we know along with some potential new material.

Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band is composed of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. They have released ten studio albums, the last nine featuring the current line-up.

The four-piece’s commercial breakthrough came with the release of several singles from their album Bleed American (2001), four of which charted within the top 20 positions of the Alternative Songs chart, with “The Middle” reaching No. 1. Their follow-up album, Futures (2004), featured the No. 1 song “Pain”.

The RIAA certified Bleed American platinum and Futures gold, rewarding the two albums for selling over 1.5 million records. The band’s sixth LP, Chase This Light (2007), became their highest-charting album and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. The band released their tenth album, Surviving, in October 2019.

PUP (abbreviation for Pathetic Use of Potential) is a Canadian punk rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario in 2010, originally under the name Topanga. PUP’s debut album PUP was released on October 8, 2013, on Royal Mountain Records. In December 2013, PUP signed with SideOneDummy Records and re-released their debut album in the United States on April 8, 2014. The group was in the studio in late 2015 recording their second album The Dream Is Over which was released on May 27, 2016, through SideOneDummy. The band’s third album, titled Morbid Stuff, was released on April 5, 2019. This Place Sucks Ass, a six-track EP, was released on October 27, 2020. Their fourth album, The Unraveling of PUPTheBand, was released on April 1, 2022.

Anyway, catch Jimmy Eat World and PUP at the following:

November

7 Berlin Columbiahalle
8 Wiesbaden Schlachihof
9 Oberhausen Turbinenhalle
11 Amsterdam Paradiso
13 Glasgow O2 Academy
14 Manchester O2 Victoria Warehouse

After slowly but surely releasing the full line-up for the 2022 round of the Cheltenham music festival, 2000trees festival has finally revealed the fact that this is the full list. Set for July 6-9, the festival announced it’s headlining acts – Jimmy Eat World, Turnstile, and IDLES – back in October 2021. You Me At Six, Nova Twins and Twin Atlantic, come highest up the bill in terms of new inclusions. But features like; Boston Manor, KennyHoopla, Angel Du$t, Heavy Lungs, and many more cement 2000trees as one of the UK’s great alternative festivals at the moment.

UK PUNX. The final @2000trees lineup is here! We’ll see you on Thursday, July 7th in Cheltenham!

Don’t miss out! Final tickets are available now:https://t.co/y3kvHoZySo pic.twitter.com/bXJogjRRBM

With exactly 100 days until the festival takes place, tickets for the event are running a little thin. Discounted early bird, and super early bird tickets have long since sold out. But what few tickets remain for the standard pricing are still available. You can look into tickets here. In a statement released recently, festival organiser and booker James Scarlett said, “There is a lot to be excited about at Trees this year,” adding, “Particular highlights for me are Twin Atlantic doing a special forest acoustic set, the Xcerts headlining Wednesday night in the Forest with a full on rock set and just generally watching the best up & coming rock acts in the world (Cassyette, Salem, GIRLI etc etc etc). I can’t wait!”

Creeper vocalist Will Gould explained in an interview with NME, the importance of 2000trees for up and coming acts, “In some ways, festivals like 2000 Trees are more important because they highlight loads of smaller up and coming acts that are yet to break through. If you walk around that field, you will find your new favourite band. Those smaller festivals give younger acts the chance to play alongside their heroes and get a sense of what it even means to play a festival. It just prepares you for everything.“ See the festival’s full lineup below.

Last years edition of the 2000Trees Festival had been postponed due to ongoing Covid-19 issues as bands from outside the UK were not able to travel. Around 20 headliners bands couldn’t play this year including Jimmy Eats World & Thrice, Young Guns and The Get Up Kids. So just to keep thing ticking along, 2000trees joined forces with ArcTanGent at the end of last August, and put up a special replacement event in Bristol. They ran live gigs for 2 days and both announced a comeback for this year’s festivals edition.

2000trees is known for its generosity to up-and-coming acts. Creeper vocalist Will Gould said as much in an interview with NME, arguing that they were more important to play for than popular festival sites such as Reading & Leeds or Download.

“In some ways, festivals like 2000 Trees are more important because they highlight loads of smaller up and coming acts that are yet to break through. If you walk around that field, you will find your new favourite band. Those smaller festivals give younger acts the chance to play alongside their heroes and get a sense of what it even means to play a festival. It just prepares you for everything.“

The band even have possible plans to conclude some of their work over the past few years through the festival. Following recent releases such as 2020’s Sex, Death and the Infinite Void and the 2021 EP American Noir, they’d been developing a sort of musical concept with recurring characters and ideas throughout.

When asked about how their 2000trees set will fit into this, Gould said “The characters from that story will come to life when we’re performing certain songs but we’re at the very end of this cycle now, which is mad because it’s lasted three years …. Stuff like 2000 Trees feels more like a celebration of the end rather than the start of something new.“

Concept or no concept, the band will have you know that they’re pure rock and roll through and through. Speaking on what expectations fans should have, Gould explained that “We’re just excited about it being a big rock ‘n’ roll spectacular, which is basically our M.O. these days. We want to go out and do something special. We want to create a moment in time where we can just be with each other and enjoy something a little otherworldly, bombastic and over the top.

2000Trees Festival has announced their biggest headliners yet for next year edition of the show. Amongst them is Idles, JimmyEat World and Thrice. The Cheltenham based festival will take place between 6-10th July 2022 with tickets already being on sale.

This year edition of the 2000Trees Festival has been postponed due to ongoing Covid-19 issues as bands from outside the UK were not able to travel. Around 20 headliners bands couldn’t play this year including Jimmy Eats World & Thrice, Young Guns and The Get Up Kids.

At the time the organisers said: “we have been forced to take the absolutely heart-breaking decision to postpone 2000trees to July 6th-10th 2022. Up until a week ago we were still furiously working behind the scenes to try make the festival happen. We really wanted (& needed) a party just as much as you this year. But after losing these bands, it’s clear that we are unable to give you the award-winning Trees experience that you know and love this year”.

At the end of August 2000trees joined forces with ArcTanGent and put up a special replacement event in Bristol. They run live gigs for 2 days and both announced come back for next year festivals edition.

As both festivals have been cancelled this year, it was a great initiative for music hungry fans. “As you know we’re all super gutted that both ATG and our sister festival, 2000trees, can’t go ahead this summer. Last year we couldn’t all meet face to face so we put on our very first virtual festival – three days of awesome music recorded in lockdown by some of our favourite bands… But can watching bands on your laptop or phone really keep you going for another summer??? Na us neither” – said the statement.

The great news is the 2000Trees organisers keep optimistic for next year addition and shared news on Twitter with a caption: “IDLES, Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, and so many more are joining us at 2000trees 2022 for our biggest year yet!!“.

Among the above, the show will guest The Amazons, Dinosaur Pile Up, Knocked Loose, The Get Up Kids, Dream State, Laura Jane Grace, Anti-Flag, Lonely the Brave, Stick To Your Guns, Deez Nuts, No Devotion and Dragged Under, all already confirmed.

As per the festival page, this year’s tickets are all valid for next year edition. “As a small, independent business that’s been hit extremely hard by the pandemic, we really need as many people as possible to roll their tickets to next year, just so we can keep paying our staff and secure the long-term survival of 2000trees” – plead the festival organisers. You can click here and roll your ticket.

Every pop punk and rock fans dream festival Slam Dunk has just announced some big names for next year. Earlier today the word was released that Arizona Rock Band Jimmy Eat World will be headlining the annual festival among a wave of more alternative acts.

This will be the band’s debut appearance at Slam Dunk and they will be celebrating their 25th anniversary together. The festival is held in three separate locations over the weekend of May 26th, 27th and 28th, on the Spring Bank Holiday. Fans get a choice whether to attend in the North of England in Leeds (26th), the Midlands in Birmingham (28th) or South in Hertfordshire (27th), which will be at new venue this year in Hatfield. The punk heavy party is held over one day and is host to eight stages.

We got to know another 5 acts would be joining Jimmy Eat world also, including Taking Back Sunday who’s set will be their third appearance at Slam Dunk over the years, and the emo-heavy Sleeping With Sirens. Pop punk favourites Four Year Strong, Trash Boat and State Champs were also revealed to complete the first batch announced.

THE #SDF18 FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT IS HERE pic.twitter.com/1o7fzZlpjQ

— Slam Dunk (@SlamDunkMusic) November 15, 2017

The festival hits the mark of its twelfth year and aims to share the biggest and most upcoming acts in emo, rock and pop punk. It is constantly attracting a bigger crowd and the change of venues in the South is evidence to this. When speaking to The Independent, festival director Ben Ray said: “We are sad to leave the University however the event was selling out months in advance so we knew we had to move it and make it bigger due to demand from the fans.”

Jimmy Eat world formed way back in 1993 and are known to be one of the best and well respected bands of the pop-rock scenes, with nine studio albums under their belt. Their ninth release last year was named Integrity Blues and became the band’s highest charting release in the UK, reaching number 21 on the UK Albums Chart. They were seen this summer at Reading and Leeds Festival on the main stage, so if you missed that it may be important to know as a UK fan that Slam Dunk will be their only UK festival appearance in 2018.

You can get a ticket from Friday November 17th at 9am, and will cost you £49 for the day, or if you attend the infamous after party and want a chance to meet some band members, you can pay the slightly higher price of £55. Get tickets here.
