White will land in the UK at the end of August with two shows at London’s Eventim Apollo. Then, he will head to the fairly new Bristol venue, The Prospect Room, before heading on to O2 City Hall in Newcastle. He will then spend a night at the Telegraph Building in Belfast before finishing off the UK/IE run of with two nights at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin.

Before hitting the UK, White is set to spend his summer touring Europe. On May 30th the former White Stripes frontman will play in Latvia at the Sigulda Castle. He will then stop in Poland for shows in both Warsaw and Krakow, then on to Germany, playing in Berlin and Hamburg. Then, there will be a jaunt to Scandinavia for a show at the Northside festival in Denmark, and appearances at both the Grona Lund and Liseburg concert series in Stockholm and Gothenburg Sweden, respectively.

More European highlights include two nights at the L’Olympia in Paris as well as at two nights at Ancient Belgique in Belgium. White will close the European leg with a headline slot at the INMusic Festival in Croatia.

But White is set to stay on the road until well into November, playing shows across a variety of US cities. He was also recently added to the Coachella bill, where he will play the Mojave tent at 3pm Pacific time on April 11. Fans can catch a livestream of that on Coachella’s website.

Just last week, White released two singles ahead of his appearance on SNL (US). The first of the two, ‘G.O.D And The Broken Ribs’ transforms biblical imagery, putting Adam and Eve in an apocalyptic version of Eden. The second, ‘Derecho Demonico’ (translating from Spanish to “demonic right”), is the awaited studio version of the song which he debuted live in 2025 while touring his last album, ‘No Name.’

The singles were available on both tri-color and black 7” vinyls at White’s own Third Man Records shops in Nashville, Detroit and London. Third Man Records posted videos of excited fans lined up outside all three shops—including the London location—ahead of the release. The records sold out soon after.

White performed both ‘G.O.D And The Broken Ribs’ and ‘Derecho Demonico’ live as the musical guest for the April 4th SNL (US) show. He also joined host Jack Black during the show to perform a version of The White Stripes hit, ‘Seven Nation Army.’

At this point in the Glastonbury 2022’s timeline, it’s almost easier to confirm who is definitely not going to be showing up for a set over the week. With the sudden arrival and then disappearance of The Chemical Brothers, IDLES finding the energy to throw out their intense debut Brutalism on the introducing stage, and even Bastille giving it a go on Thursday night, the list seemingly doesn’t end. The latest; Jack White and George Ezra.

With relative urgency, singer-songwriter superstar (and general cutie-pie) George Ezra announced his appearance at the festival’s Park Stage at 2PM. A whole 3 hours of preparation for the appropriately named “Gold Rush Kid” to gather enough curiosity, and then perform a secret set. Some artists are just built for Glastonbury, whether it be the laid-back attitude, hooky-as-hell songwriting or just general British summertime demeanour, Ezra has what it takes. The rumours began to spread about Ezra early, but after pulling out of a show in Denmark earlier this week due to illness, many were sceptical. But no more!

SURPRISE! @glastonbury see you 2pm on the John Peel Stage for a big old party pic.twitter.com/Gft01Zj77O

Next on the major last-minute announcement list in today’s proceedings, all-round icon; Jack White. The initial advertisement for White’s show came in the festivals often overlooked “Glastonbury Free Press”. An advertisement in the local paper read, “Exciting opportunity in the field of audience science”, I’m interested, “Musician Jack White is seeking 10,000 lively and loud individuals to participate in a top secret experiment of musical concertry. Qualified applicants must apply in person on 26 June, at 6PM, at The Park Stage”. Now, if anyone had to call a secret Glastonbury set this year, I’d argue that Jack White was probably never a million miles away from being guaranteed. After opening the doors to his new store, Third Man London, and then performing a secret set in the streets of Soho that night, it confirmed that all of the shenanigans White normally gets up to in the states are very much transferable.

As the final day of the festival kicks off we, as punters have unsurprisingly had a lot of special treats over the duration. Beatles legend Paul McCartney was joined on the Pyramid Stage last night by Dave Grohl, in his first onstage appearance since the tragic passing of Taylor Hawkins, for a version of “Saw Her Standing There” and “Band On The Run”, and then none other than The Boss for “Glory Days” and “I Wanna Be Your Man”. The pair then returned one final time together to close the set with “The End”. As festivals go, this one always relishes in its surprises, and despite the fact that this is the last day, I see no reason why they’ll slow down today.

With the release of his new pair of albums on the horizon, Jack White has been slowly but surely trickling out new music to prepare us for the release days. Back in October White shared with us “Taking Me Back” taken from the 1st of his albums Fear of the Dawn. Then, in stark contrast with the pounding fuzz focused energy of the first single, his next output “Love is Selfish”, this time from the 2nd album Entering Heaven Alive, is more reminiscent of his gentler works; “We’re Going to be Friends’” and “Temporary Ground” come to mind. Now, White goes back to his fuzz-phase with ‘Fear Of The Dawn’. Stream it here, and watch the video – directed by White himself below. “Fear Of The Dawn” is the b-side to “Love Is Selfish” and its “Love Is Selfish” b/w “Fear Of The Dawn” limited edition tri-color 7″ will be available exclusively at Third Man Records Nashville & Cass Corridor Detroit this Saturday, February 12, as well as at Third Man London on Saturday, February 19.

White recently announced the first dates of The Supply Chain Issues Tour, with shows in North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Produced by Live Nation, the tour – which features White’s first headline shows in four years – begins with two sold-out FEAR OF THE DAWN album release shows, set for April 8 and 9 at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre, and then continues through late August (full list of dates below). A limited number of VIP packages will be available for each show. For tickets and more information, please visit jackwhiteiii.com/tour-dates.

We all know it wouldn’t be a Jack White release without a myriad of limited-edition releases to try and bag. For Fear of the Dawn you might find a midnight blue vinyl version with a screen-printed jacket available to Third Man Records Vault Members on the vault website, an ‘astronomical blue’ colourway is available at selected independent record stores (find out more here), and a split moon glow white & astronomical blue LP with an 11”x11” screen printed poster and Third Man Records compilation CD can be found at Rough Trade Records. Details on the physical rollout for Entering Heaven Alive will be released soon.

What we are sure on though, is that both albums have reportedly been made to contrast each other. It has been reported that the pair has been designed to explore different themes using distinct techniques and equipment to hopefully justify the pair of albums not being released together. If each of the albums first singles are anything to go by, Fear of the Dawn (which is set for release on April 9th) seems to be following White’s current trend of fuzzy maximalism. With help from a synth player/DJ, Quincy McCrary, the sound has evolved into something synthetic and futuristic. Whereas the tone set from Love is Selfish seems to lead a more stripped back ‘traditional’ sound for the 2nd album Entering Heaven Alive (to be released a while later on July 22nd). See here for tour details.

As of September 2021, singer and guitarist Jack White’s record label Third Man Records had opened a new location in London, simply called “Third Man London”. As of February 10th, the label announced its first signing; London indie rock quartet Island of Love, who will be releasing their new E.P. Songs of Love on March 18th. You can listen to the group’s newest single- the titular track from the upcoming E.P.- down below.

Third Man Records was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 2001, and expanded to Nashville, Tennessee in March of 2009, when the label’s first physical retail location was opened. The Nashville location also features the label offices and a live venue, where Jack White debuted his project The Dead Weather to a small audience of 150 people. Since the label’s inception, it has released a great deal of music from a myriad different genres, such as Bob Dylan, Sleep, Boris, Coldplay, Tenacious D and even non-music releases such as comedian Dave Chappelle’s special 8:46.

In 2015, fourteen years after the label was initially founded, Jack White partnered with a lifestyle brand called Shinola in order to open a new location in Detroit, Michigan. The location was officially opened on November 27th, 2015. For more details about Third Man Records, you can check out their website here, and for anyone wishing to pay a visit to the label’s London store, you’ll find it on 1 Marshall Street in Soho.

Third Man London’s first signing, Island of Love, are set to release their new E.P. on March 18th, and on July 1st, will be releasing a 7” vinyl through the label. According to a press release, the band said of their forthcoming E.P: “Songs of Love was a collage of pretty wacky riffs Karim would play as guitar warm-ups until writing with the full band,” the band says. “Dealing with feelings of inadequacy, the lyrics shine a light on a way most of us felt before picking up an instrument, and the voice it’s since been able to give us. To have Third Man show an interest has been a surreal privilege to say the least.”

For those that like what they hear, the E.P. will be available on all streaming services including Bandcamp and can be pre-saved here. The limited edition 7” vinyl is also available to pre-order through the group’s Bandcamp page, which can be found at this link.

With the release of his new pair of albums on the horizon, Jack White has been slowly but surely trickling out new music to prepare us for the release days. Back in October White shared with us “Taking Me Back” taken from the 1st of his albums Fear of the Dawn. Now, in stark contrast with the pounding fuzz focused energy of the first single, his latest output “Love is Selfish”, this time from the 2nd album Entering Heaven Alive, is more reminiscent of his gentler works; “We’re Going to be Friends’”and “Temporary Ground” come to mind. See below the video to the new track directed by Jack White himself.

Hailed by PASTE as “a return to White’s sweet spot”, “Love is Selfish” seems to act, as many other songs have in White’s repertoire, as this album cycle’s acoustic ballad. Being led by White and his acoustic guitar, backed lyrically with heartfelt sincerity this seems to be more reminiscent of his earlier work. It’s not necessarily The White Stripes… but it certainly harkens back to music from before his days with a DJ in the band after leaning in this direction while touring his last album Boarding House Reach. You can see the differences yourself at White’s only confirmed UK appearances at one of the 2 nights in London at the iconic Eventim Apollo on June 27th and 28th. Ticket information is available here.

Whatever it is you’re after from Jack White, you can expect it to sound raw, a little rough, and absolutely packed with his signature idiosyncrasies. You can pre-order the albums on vinyl and CD here. But it wouldn’t be a Jack White release without a myriad of limited-edition releases to try and bag.

Jack White has opened the store venue ‘Blue Basement’ in style, performing for fans-only and followed by a balcony performance to the whole of Soho.

White appeared with blue dyed hair to presumably mark the bar name – ‘The Blue Room’. He performed a set with Dominic‌ ‌Davis‌ ‌on‌ ‌bass‌ ‌and‌ ‌an ‌amazing Daru‌ ‌Jones‌ ‌on‌ ‌drums‌. They started with The White Stripes classics “Hello Operator” and finished with “Icky Thump”. The performance showed how complex of a musician White is with “his‌ ‌sweet‌ ‌and‌ ‌salty‌ ‌style‌ ‌creating‌ ‌an irresistible‌ ‌tangle‌ ‌of‌ ‌sweet‌ ‌melodies‌ ‌and‌ ‌heavy‌ ‌payoffs“.
White finished the show by heading to the artist Damien Hirst next-door balcony and performing once more to gathered outside fans. London’s Carnaby Street turned into a rock’n’roll show.

The new Third Man Records store has three physical spaces that combine two-level retail spaces, an intimate music venue and a European headquarter. “Its been personally designed by Jack White, who recently launched Jack White Arts & Design page showing off two decades of his creative work“.

You can find it in the heart of Soho, on 1 Marshall Street (W1f 9BA) and pop in between 11 am – 6 pm Monday to Sunday.

Speaking about the new store, Jack White spoke to The Times last weekend and admitted that he feels “scare and confused” without any struggle in his life. “It is this disease I have and I don’t know what started it, but if there is no struggle involved in my life I get scared and confused” -he commented. “If art is not being made in some way, I start worrying. I wish I could pinpoint why this is necessary for me. I can’t get away from it“.

In the meantime, White’s and Alicia Key’s collaboration from the 2008 “Another Way To Die” from Bond movie, has been called “the strangest ever 007 themes“. Independent calls it “the bonkers and baffling “Another Way to Die” – or, as it really should be called, “Seven Nation Barmy”.

The new store will be situated in the heart of Soho, on 1 Marshall Street (W1f 9BA). The opening date has been set to Saturday the 25th of September.

The store has been personally designed by Jack White, who recently launched Jack White Arts & Design page showing off two decades of his creative work. “The store was conceptualised and created throughout 2020 and 2021 during the Covid pandemic, with the aim of creating a physical space to help keep record sales and live performances alive after such a tough period for everyone“.
The London branch will be a multi-functional space with a two-level retail room, a small music venue “The Blue Basement” and a European headquarter.
“It will feature a host of the kind of quirks, details and idiosyncrasies Third Man have become renowned around the world for“. These include a token-operated recording booth where anyone can record their own music on vinyl and a token-operated lucky dip book machine designed by US-based artist Craig Small. It’s called “Literarium” and it’s only a second of its kind in the world.
The big opening will see some of UK favourite artists: Paul Weller, David Ruffin, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Gina Birch of The Raincoats, Cornershop and Manchester’s group The Magic Roundabout that in celebration of the opening will record music for the Third Man. The exclusive releases will be available to purchase on vinyl on 25th September from The Third Man website, all three Third Man stores and all independent record shops. Special edition yellow vinyl will be available to buy in the London branch only.
