RAMMSTEIN, the world’s favourite German industrial metal band, has announced the 2023 European leg of their stadium tour.
UK fans will have to wait and see if the band has any plans to add any UK dates. The band last played in the UK earlier this summer, playing the CBS Arena in Coventry on June 26th. The show was so loud that it was reportedly heard eleven miles away.

Like many bands, the pandemic halted their touring plans, and the band’s sold-out stadium tour had to be postponed. RAMMSTEIN utilised this extra time to finish their new album. The eleven songs on the new album were written over the course of two years by Till Lindemann (vocals), Paul Landers (guitar), Richard Z. Kruspe (guitar), Flake (keyboards), Oliver Riedel (bass), and Christoph Schneider (drums). Producer Olsen Involtini from Berlin was behind the boards once again and joined the band at La Fabrique Studios in St. Rémy de Provence, France, to produce the album.

Rammstein’s eighth studio album “Zeit” is out today and available to stream in Spatial Audio on @AppleMusic: https://t.co/JNY0GVrIKZ pic.twitter.com/3lJFQK2KTk

In a strange meeting of worlds, the photo of RAMMSTEIN that graces the cover of Zeit was taken by the Canadian musician and photographer, Bryan Adams, on the steps of Berlin’s Trudelturm, a memorial to aerial research located in the city’s Aerodynamic Park.

The legendary metal band are known for their spectacular live performances, that frequently feature sensational pyrotechnic displays. The pyrotechnician for RAMMSTEIN revealed last autumn how much gasoline is required to ignite the band’s fiery stage performance. According to Nikolai Sabottka, who spoke with Ultimate Guitar, RAMMSTEIN’s current stadium setup “needs around 1000 litres [about 265 gallons].”

Sobotka went on to remark that he and the RAMMSTEIN members are constantly looking for new technology that might elevate their ferocious stage performance. He said, “We sit down to discuss all the various concepts before a tour and put what has been produced and prototyped in advance to the test. After the initial test, countless adjustments need to be made. Sometimes these changes are necessary because the effects do not turn out as expected, in which case the effects are returned to research and development while other changes are authorised and are produced on a bigger scale.”

Over the course of a nearly 30-year career, RAMMSTEIN have sold more than 20 million records worldwide. Their stadium tour of North America began on August 21st in Montreal and will end in Mexico City on October 4th. Their 2023 European tour dates are below:
