src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js" async="">The Strokes have just released their tour dates for the 2026 ‘Reality Awaits The World Tour’, including the UK dates in October that visit London, Newcastle and Manchester.

American Indie band, The Strokes, are finally making their way back to the UK after three years, with a new release after an even bigger six year gap between their last album, ‘The New Abnormal’ in 2020. The world tour is in support of the upcoming seventh studio album, ‘Reality Awaits The World’ which is due for release on 26 June, 2026.

The circulation of the tour release, yesterday, has fans already buzzing over the news and wondering what to expect from the band. Classics from the decades-long indie releases have the fans questioning if their old favourites will appear alongside the songs of ‘Reality Awaits The World’. These include testaments to the band’s sound, like ‘The Adults Are Talking’, ‘Last Nite’ and ‘Reptilia’. The band originated their sound from influences that they grew up listening to the genre of indie and mod sounds, such as The Velvet Undergound, The Doors and Pearl Jam, making their music and song lyrics a mix of aggressive guitar use but also a low talking-singing style inspired by Lou Reed.

After officially dropping their new single ‘Going Shopping’ on April 6th 2026, fans were eager to know the band’s plans for a tour release, especially after the live song debut at Coachella on April 11th, 2026. The tour will take place from June to October, with performances set to stop in North America, UK, Europe and Japan. The band’s comeback into the tour scene will also see their performances be held in some of the most iconic venues, such as the London O2, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and The Accor Arena in Paris.

Along with the treat that is the band’s resurgence into the UK, they are set to bring many memorable artists for opening and collaboration. Some of these include Thundercat, Cage The Elephant and Alex Cameron. Cage The Elephant was last in the UK in February 2025 in the O2 Academy, Brixton, where they marked an exciting return to the UK after six years. This was due to many cancelled dates in 2019 after guitarist, Nick Bockrath, had a serious leg injury. Fans hope that they will appear in UK venues across the tour. The Strokes, with support from these artists, curate an exciting collaboration for the indie scene. Making appearances from Alex Cameron after four years and Thundercat after two years, a hopeful crossover for fans who would see some of indie’s greatest artists collaborating in UK venues.

The June 26th release of the album will truly define the band’s next step in the world of indie rock. The Strokes’ tour tickets will go on general sale on April 17th 2026, at 10am, with presale tickets happening at the same time on April 15th.

British indie pop band Swim Deep have announced their upcoming fourth studio album ‘There’s A Big Star Outside‘, the group’s first major output since ‘Emerald Classics‘ in 2019. The latest record is expected to arrive on June 7 via Submarine Cat Records, and was produced by The Coral’s Bill Ryder-Jones. Known for their dreamy, coming-of-age love songs that tore through the early 2010s, the beloved Midlands quintet are finally back with new material, sharing their latest, self-reflective single ‘How Many Love Songs Have Died In Vegas?’. Formed in 2011, the band now boasts a slightly different line-up, currently comprised of Austin Williams (vocals), Cavan McCarthy (bass), James Balmont (keyboards), Robbie Wood (guitar), and Thomas Fiquet (drums).

In a press release, frontman Austin Wiliams explains the backstory behind the lead single: “‘How Many Love Songs In Vegas?’ is a song that’s been stitched together over a few years, a great melody made in a shed (like all the good ones are) that never found its song. Until Swim Deep’s Lord saviour Bill Ryder Jones insisted we persist with it as it was ‘dead good’. We tried everything, and even after going full Flaming Lips at the Wacky Warehouse on it, still, nothing felt perfect… until we sat back, drank some gin and listened to Yo La Tengo & Red House Painters. And suddenly it clicked, Bill saw the light and I followed him like I would off a cliff.”

He adds: “A song I wrote after pondering whether marriage was ill fated, and statistically doomed, just like my parents and all my friend’s parents’ ones seemed to turn out. An anxiety laced love song in which I deny all of those odds stacked against me and my wife, the best person ever.”

Alongside the new single and album announcement, Swim Deep have also unveiled a string of live shows across the UK. The group are set to hit the road for an 11-date tour, including performances in Nottingham, Bristol, Newcastle and London. You can take a look at the full tracklist of the album below:

Sorry have announced they will be releasing a new live album, ‘A Night At The Windmill’, in which the proceeds will go to saving The Windmill in Brixton. The popular backstreet music venue, which has hosted many up-coming indie bands, has been identified as one of the 30 venues in critical need of funding. This comes from Music Venue Trust’s ‘Save Our 30 #TrafficLight’ campaign, which raises money for the 30 grassroots music venues that are in critical need of donations and support.

The North London based band will be releasing 500 vinyls on Bandcamp, with all the proceeds going to The Windmill. Sorry have taken to Instagram to promote their new live album from their November show at the mentioned music venue. They said, ‘We’re releasing this live show we did last Nov at the Windmill exclusively on Bandcamp this Bandcamp Friday! 500 vinyl copies only. All money goes to support the Windmill staying open, 2 new unreleased tracks on it – buy a copy at in bio x’

The albums tracklist is from their debut album released in 2020, ‘925’, plus a further two bonus tracks as promised by the band. The album has been hailed as ‘unashamedly experimental and woozy, without having a bad track on it’ with added help and expertise from Gorillaz producer James Dring during production. Started by best friends Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen, the experimental indie quartet will be charging £20 for the live album as well as donating £925 themselves to the worthy cause.

The Windmill has been described by Billboard as “a divey hangout for indie-spirited DIY musicians”, presenting a welcoming space for musicians to experiment with their sound to a music-fanatic audience. The Windmill have their own fundraiser set up too, which has raised up to £65,000 of the desired £72,000 target.

This is not the only time Sorry have participated in fundraising to save music venues from closure. During May 2020, they and other bands such as Shame and Porridge Radio, participated in a charity compilation, ‘Group Therapy Vol.1’, which raised funds for Music Venues Trust and NHS Charities Together.

A Night At The Windmill’ will be released on 12th March 2021 but can be pre-ordered now via Bandcamp.

DIY alt-pop rock band King No-One announced yesterday that they will be heading out on yet another tour in 2021. Fans are really excited to see them live after the events of Covid-19 which prevented it – and the band are known for playing live as much as possible.

Last week, King No-One reminisced on past shows online, asking fans to comment with their favourite gig by the band. Then, they revealed that there would be an announcement, and finally let their 15,000 followers know the news with the message, “We’re coming back. 13 dates across the UK.”

The dates are all over the UK, kicking off in Brighton at the famous Komedia and travelling to Glasgow, London, and Manchester.

This exciting news follows a single release from the band in June, of incredible indie song ‘Roll The Dice’, which was received well by fans. Reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’, the music video has gained nearly 4,000 views. Prior to this, the band’s first single of the year ‘Not Willing To Sacrifice My Life’ was released in January and has 16,000 views.

King No-One were formed in York in 2013, with members Zach Lount (vocals), Joe Martin (guitar), and James Basile (drums). They began their career busking around the UK, and grew very popular in the live scene, selling out large venues in numerous cities. They have performed at Reading and Leeds, TRNSMT, and Tramlines festivals, releasing debut EP ‘OOMM’ in 2019 which went to number 2 on the Indie Breakers Chart.
