Taking to Twitter to announce the rescheduled dates, Poppy wrote: “I Disagree UK / EU tour is back”. She advised her fans that tickets would go on sale, on Monday (April 20). The European leg of her tour will now begin, in Madrid, on November 19 and will conclude, in Pairs, on December 5.

The US singer will then begin the UK leg of her tour, in Newcastle, on December 7. She then heads across the UK hitting venues in Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham before concluding the tour with a show, in London, on December 13.

The tour is in support of her album, ‘I Disagree’, which was released back in January. The genre-defying artist received a lot of praise for the album which caught the ears of Deftones and Bring Me The Horizon, both of whom took Poppy on tour.

Speaking about the album, Poppy said: “A lot of people who have written about the new music have said it’s metal and pop, but I think that’s because they like the juxtaposition of that. I’ve never said my music is metal, but I do listen to that music. To clarify: post-genre. Or prog rock or pop. We’re turning a new page.”

Poppy has announced that she will be heading out on tour, in 2020. The LA based artist announced that she will be hitting the road, with dates across the UK and Europe, in March 2020.

The announcement comes as Poppy is scheduled to release her third album, ‘I Disagree’, which will be released on the 10th of January 2020. Poppy’s third album is the follow-up to 2018’s, ‘Am I A Girl’, with the singer already having previewing the title track, ‘Concrete’, from her upcoming album, ‘I Disagree’.

Poppy took to social media yesterday (October 9) to announce the UK and European legs of her upcoming tour, ‘I Disagree’. The UK leg of the tour will begin, in Manchester, on the 12th of March 2020 before heading to Glasgow and Birmingham, concluding in London, on the 15th of March 2020.
The European leg of Poppy’s tour will begin, in Amsterdam, on the 17th of March 2020 before heading across Europe which includes shows in Brussels, Paris, Bochum, Berlin, Munich, Milan, Vienna, Zurich, and Barcelona, concluding in Madrid, on the 30th of March 2020. Poppy’s full list of 2020 UK and European tour dates can be found below.

Speaking to NME, about her 2018 album ‘Am I A Girl’ and it’s follow-up, ‘I Disagree’, Poppy said; “I’ve made a new album since (the release of 2018’s ‘Am I A Girl’), it’s even heavier than the last. That was mainly pop but this one is a whole new vibration. Some are calling it metal, but I’m calling it post-genre.”

Earlier this year, Poppy gave fans a taster of her upcoming album, ‘I Disagree’, with the release of the album’s title track, ‘Concrete’, which was inspired by “wanting to be buried six feet under ground, covered in concrete and turned into a street.”

Continuing Poppy, said; “I would say that in a way ‘Concrete’ is representative,” she continues. We wrote ‘Concrete’ around the time we wrote ‘X’ and ‘Scary Mask’ [from ‘Am I A Girl] and ‘Concrete’ is an adventure I hope you get to take. There are many more adventures to come on that record.”

Poppy said her last record was an exploration of “girls, boys, fashion, robots and destroying corporations.” This begs the question of what has been the inspiration behind her forthcoming album, ‘I Disagree’?

“Well, now I have decided that it would be nice to light things on fire and destroy the rest of what was remaining previously. We rebuild at the end, but we can talk about that later.”

Poppy is also set to headline, NME’s Girls To The Front event, which is scheduled to take place, this Halloween (October 31), with the event being appropriately renamed, Ghouls To The Front, for the occasion. Tickets to the Halloween event are free, with more information about the gig being available here.
