Mabel has announced that she has had to reschedule a number of her ‘Mad Love Tour’ dates after coming down with illness. The singer has been forced to postpone a number of upcoming tour dates, throughout the UK and Ireland, this month (August).

The 23-year-old singer’s doctor has advised her against “performing or dancing for long periods of time.” This has meant that the singer has had to reschedule her August tour dates, in cities such as London, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Bristol, to November.

The announcement comes after Mabel also confirmed that she will not be performing at Boardmasters, on the 9th of August 2019, or Way Out West Festival, on the same weekend. All tickets for the rescheduled shows remain valid and you can purchase tickets for the shows here.

In a statement, on Facebook, Mabel, said: “So gutted to say that due to illness I won’t be able to play the dates of my ‘Mad Love Tour’ with HMV as my doctor has advised against me performing/dancing for long periods of time. The ‘Mad Love Tour’ will still be happening in November and all tickets are valid for the new dates. Thank you so much for understanding, love you guys and hope I get to make it up to you soon. Love, M x (sic)”

The ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ singer will now perform her ‘Mad Love Tour’, in November. This will see her Newcastle show moved to the 19th of November, Bristol on the 25th, London on the 26th, and Liverpool on the 28th of November 2019.

The announcement comes as the release of her album, ‘High Expectations’, which hit shelves today (August 02). The tour ‘Mad Love’ is in celebration of the release of her album ‘High Expectations’.

It also comes a week after Mabel opened up about suffering from “crippling” anxiety and depression, as a child and teenager. In the interview Mabel, said: “I got to about six years old when my parents realised it was crippling…That’s when music came into it and I started playing piano and journaling. I feel so lucky because I grew up with parents who understand it. They would listen to all my anxieties.

“Talking about it stopped me from catastrophising. They didn’t see it as a negative I needed to get rid of. Music has always been my therapy. The first 12 years of my musical relationship was very much for myself; it was like a journal. I was a teen who had a lot of anxiety and depression.”

Mabel’s rescheduled tour dates are as follows:

19/11/2019 – Riverside – Newcastle Upon Tyne
25/11 – Fleece – Bristol
26/11 – Dome – London
28/11 – Hangar 34 – Liverpool

29/01/2020 – Olympia Theatre – Dublin
30/01 – Ulster Hall – Belfast
01/02 – O2 Academy – Glasgow
02/02 – O2 Academy – Leeds
04/02 – O2 Academy – Liverpool
05/02 – Manchester Academy – Manchester
07/02 – Rock City – Nottingham
08/02 – UEA – Norwich
09/02 – O2 Guildhall – Southampton
11/02 – O2 Academy – Birmingham
12/02 – Eventim Apollo – London

Mabel has had a busy start to 2019 and she has no signs of slowing down, as she has revealed details of her debut album, ‘High Expectations’. The rising-star has revealed that her hotly anticipated debut album, ‘High Expectations’, will be released, on the 12th of July 2019, via Polydor. Along with the release date, Mabel has also released the track listing for the album.

The 23-year-old sensation is already poised to join the pop hall of fame, with an insanely busy start to year, 2019 has already been a huge year for the star, and she has no signs of stopping with the release of her album. The star revealed that her album, ‘High Expectations’, will include 14 tracks, including her hit single, ‘Don’t Call Me Up’.

Writing, on Twitter Mabel wrote: “SCREEEEAMING!!! ‘High Expectations’ my debut album is dropping on the 12th of July. Can’t wait for this next part of the journey and for you guys to hear what I’ve been working on.”

The singer, who is presently the highest-charting British female in Spotify’s global charts, has a way with lyrics and is one of the most honest and sincere lyricists, at the moment. In her singles she has a natural ability to address topics that others may find difficult, such as the challenges of identity and relationships, with the type of sensibility and perceptiveness of someone with a few more years of wisdom.

The twice BRIT nominated singer/song-writer is set to make 2019 her biggest yet, as she continues striving to exceed her high expectations. While, we can expect more from Mabel, this year, her ambitious debut album, ‘High Expectations’, is undoubtedly on track to become the soundtrack of summer and for some, the soundtrack of many people’s lives, with honest lyrics that chronicle mental health struggles, young love, girl power and identity.

Speaking about her debut album, ‘High Expectations’, Mabel, said: “High Expectations the title says it all. It’s about the expectations I have of myself, other people’s expectations of me and vice versa, especially in relationships. The general topic of the project is the negatives and positives that come with that. I want to send a positive message to everyone that’s going to listen to it. I’ve gained so much confidence from writing this album and that’s what I want people to take from it.”

The news of the release date of her debut album, ‘High Expectations’, comes after Mabel announced plans to tour with Khalid, later this year, cementing the singer/song-writer as one of the hottest acts around today. Mabel will be supporting Khalid throughout his UK and European tour dates, this September and October, with the UK leg of the 18-date tour set to kick off, in London, on the 17th of September 2019 before concluding, in Belfast, on the 25th of September 2019.

It’s looking like the ambitious singer/song-writer, is set to take 2019 by storm and dominate. Tickets for all of Mabel’s live dates and her tour with Khalid are available now, and can be purchased here.
