Rumours are circulating that Rihanna may be a headliner for Glastonbury 2025, after news has emerged of a possible run of London stadium shows in the days following the festival.

On Friday, the Telegraph reported that RiRi might have scheduled a six-night residency at The London Stadium, starting on July 4 – five days after Glastonbury finishes. The residency is yet to be confirmed, but the Telegraph claims that a “senior concert industry source” says the shows are at an advanced planning stage.

The ‘Work’ hitmaker was thought to be headlining the Worthy Farm festival in 2023, only to have to pull out due to her pregnancy, being replaced by Guns N’ Roses. Speculation of her joining the Glastonbury 2025 lineup has been around since last year.

So far, Glastonbury has only confirmed one headliner for 2025, that being Neil Young. Rod Stewart has been confirmed for the Sunday afternoon ‘Legends Slot, and Nile Rodgers & Chic accidentally confirmed their booking at an awards show in November. Other rumoured performers include Noah Kahan, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Wonder and Alanis Morissette.

It’s been nearly a decade since Rihanna last hit the road on her ‘ANTI’ tour in 2016, for her album of the same name. Her most recent public performance came in 2023 at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Her last release was on ‘Lift Me Up’, a graceful ballad on the soundtrack for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022. Fans have been eagerly waiting for her rumoured ‘R9′ album for years – in a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, she promised: “I’ve been in the studio the whole eight years. I know it’s not going to be anything that anybody expects. And it’s not going to be commercial or radio digestible… I feel like I’ve finally cracked it, girl!”

Nowadays, she’s been more active within the beauty industry, with her Fenty Beauty cosmetics company becoming a remarkable success. It’s said that her pivot into beauty products is largely responsible for her becoming a billionaire.

Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, partnering with luxury goods company LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton). She’s said that the aim of Fenty was to appeal to “every type of women” with “all skin tones”. Fenty foundation is available in 50 different shades, and its success led to the so-called “Fenty effect”, where other cosmetic companies widened the range of shades in their make-up products.

Re-sale tickets for Glastonbury 2025 will go on sale in the spring. The first round of tickets sold out after only half an hour of going on sale in November. It’s been found that the festival’s profits have more than doubled since 2023.

In a first for the festival, Drake has been announced as the headliner for all three nights of Wireless 2025. The event will take place in London’s Finsbury Park from July 11-13 and will mark the festival’s 20th anniversary. Drake previously headlined Wireless in 2015.

A pre-sale for Three customers begins at 12pm on Monday (Feb 17), and other customers can sign up to the Wireless pre-sale for 12pm on Tuesday (Feb 18). General sale will open at 12pm on Wednesday (Feb 19) – tickets can be seen here.

Every night will see him perform a different setlist and bring out different guests – on the Friday (11 July), he’ll be accompanied by long-time collaborator PartyNextDoor and R&B star Summer Walker. This night could see him cater to the R&B crowd – he’s always incorporated R&B/soul sounds into his music since his first mixtapes, carving out his lane as one of the first rappers to really popularize the melodic style that’s prevalent today.

On the Saturday (12 July), there’s been no confirmed guests yet, only ‘Drake & The Mandem’. It’s a good guess that this will see a set tailored to UK rap fans. Drake’s been a long-time admirer of British emcees, since his ‘More Life’ tape where he took influence from UK grime and hip-hop, featuring artists like Giggs on ‘KMT‘ and Skepta on ‘Skepta’s Interlude‘. Recent years have seen him collaborate with newer names like Dave, Headie One, and Central Cee.

And lastly, on Sunday (13 July), Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel are confirmed as special guests. Perhaps this night will see Drake showcase some more international sounds. On ‘Views’, he started experimenting with West Indian and African styles, with dancehall song ‘Controlla’ and the afrobeat-inspired track ‘One Dance’ becoming big hits.

Last week on Valentine’s day, Drake and PartyNextDoor teamed up to release a joint album, titled ‘Some Sexy Songs 4 U’. A 21-track release that features both collaborative and solo songs from the Canadian pair, it swayed further into slow-jam/R&B territory than the hip-hop/rap style fans might have expected from Drake. The two of them have collaborated previously on classic songs like ‘Recognize‘ and ‘Come And See Me‘.

On Spotify, the album earned 56.6 million first-day streams on the global chart, becoming the second-biggest album debut of 2025 so far. It’s also broken the record for the biggest R&B/soul album in Apple Music’s history by first-day streams worldwide.

While a commercial success for the two OVO artists, the project has garnered mixed reviews. The Hollywood Reporter said: “The intention seems to have been to make a record to sleep with someone to. In practice, it’s more like a record to put you to sleep.” Clash Magazine wrote: “On first listen, ‘$ome $sexy $ongs 4 U’ isn’t terrible, but it equally isn’t a vintage release for either artist.”

So far, Drake and his guests are the only confirmed acts for Wireless Festival 2025. More info on the event can be found here.

The 1975 have been announced as the replacement headlining act at Reading and Leeds Festival 2023, following former headliner Lewis Capaldi’s hiatus from touring.

Lewis Capaldi recently announced that he will be taking a break from work commitments following his performance at Glastonbury in order to “adjust to the impact” of living with Tourette’s syndrome. Capaldi wrote, “I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I’d hoped three weeks away would sort me out. But the truth is I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend so much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time.”

This announcement followed his decision to take a break to prepare himself for his Glastonbury performance, but has ultimately ended in a longer hiatus than initially planned.

One such commitment that Capaldi will be missing is the headlining slot of Reading and Leeds Festival, where he was set to headline Reading on Saturday 26th August and Leeds on Sunday 27th August. The festival organisers addressed his cancellation, writing, “We’re gutted that Lewis Capaldi won’t be performing at R&L this year, but health comes first and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

The 1975 have now been announced as the replacement headlining act, and are reportedly close friends with Capaldi. At The 1975’s gig at Finsbury Park on 2nd July, Matty Healy addressed Capaldi, saying “I want to send my sincerest thoughts to Lewis Capaldi who is a dear friend of mine, who on the day when he had to cancel his tour, checked in on me. And it’s also a reflection on how hard being a solo artist is as I would not be doing this show if I didn’t have these amazing men and women behind me.”

The 1975 have decided to use their headlining slot to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, released in 2013. Frontman Matty Healy announced this decision onstage at TRNSMT festival, telling the crowd, “So, on Saturday at Reading and Sunday at Leeds in celebration of 10 years of our debut album, The 1975 will be playing that album in full in support of our good friend Lewis Capaldi. If you’ve got tickets, good for you. If you haven’t, go and get them. We’ll see you there.”

The band also took to social media to confirm that this will be a 10th anniversary performance of their debut album.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Bird’s have been confirmed to headline Brighton’s On the Beach outdoor festival this summer. The concert is set to take place Sunday 30 July. The Brit-pop icon will be supported by fellow British rock bands The Coral, the Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes and The Vaccines. The On the Beach 2023 series will be attended by thousands of music fans in July, on one of Britain’s most beautiful and historic coastal settings.

The mancunian legend is best known for his work in the band, Oasis, with his brother Liam Gallagher. He has developed a strong fan base throughout his successful career within the music industry and is now primarily focused on his rock band, High Flying Birds, which was formed in 2010. The band consists of former oasis members, Guitarist Gem Archer, Pianist Mike Rowe and Drummer Chris Sharrock. The group also has former Zuton’s band member, Russell Pritchard, who plays bass. On a Jonathan Ross interview in 2011, supporting his first studio album with the band, Noel confirmed that the name of the band was inspired by Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac album and Jefferson Airplane’s song ‘’High Flying Birds.’’

Oasis split up in 2009 after an altercation between brothers Noel and Liam at the French Festival, Rock en Seine. Fans across the country have been calling on the feuding brothers in desperation for the band to come together for a reunion tour and when asked if an Oasis reunion will ever be on the cards, on BBC Radio Manchester earlier this year, Noel said ‘’You should never say never’’ but added ‘’It would have to take an extraordinary set of circumstances, but that’s not to say that those circumstances would never come about.’’

Liam has also been vocal about his views on an Oasis Reunion. In a 2022 interview with The Times, saying, ‘’I’d love Oasis to get back together. If it happens, it happens.’’ He also added ‘’we should never have split up, but we did, and this is where we’re at.’’ In another part of the interview, he explained “We split up nearly 13 years ago. It’s ridiculous. We can go on about whose fault it is, but he’s his own man. If he really wanted to get in contact, for my mum’s sake, he could do it, but he obviously doesn’t want to. There are only so many olive branches you can offer.”

On June 2nd, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to release their fourth studio album Council Skies. Two singles from the album have already been released, ‘’Pretty Boy’’ and ‘’Easy Now.’’ This album is the follow-up to his most recent album release, which debuted in 2017, Who Built The Moon? Self-titled album Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Bird’s (2011) and Chasing Yesterday (2015) are the band’s previously released studio albums. When speaking about the upcoming album, Noel Gallagher expressed his visions for the new release, “It’s going back to the beginning. Daydreaming, looking up at the sky and wondering about what life could be … that’s as true to me now as it was in the early 90’s.’’

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will perform at the On The Beach Sunday event on July 30 2023. The tickets go on sale Friday 24 February at 10am. To access pre-sale tickets for the event, click here.

Swedish House Mafia have announced they’ll be returning to Creamfields for its 2023 edition. During the Birmingham show of their Paradise Again world tour last week (October 8), the Swedish house super group revealed they’ll be headlining the festival next year on Sunday 27th of August by displaying their three dot logo alongside ‘Creamfields 2023’ on screens in the arena.

The announcement has now been followed by an official confirmation tweet by Creamfields which read: “Just Announced! @swedishousemfia confirmed for a SOLD OUT Creamfields North 2023, Sunday 27th August. #CreamfieldsNorth #Creamfields2023.” You can view the full post below.

The full line-up for 2023 Creamfields North is yet to be announced but the event is scheduled to take place in Daresbury, Cheshire between 24-27 August next year. Tickets are already completely sold out, making it the fastest-selling Creamfields on record. Swedish House Mafia’s return to Creamfields comes after their last performance at the festival in 2019.

The producer trio have remained busy since then and earlier this year they released their debut album Paradise Again featuring guest appearances from A$AP Rocky, Sting and many more. They are currently on the European leg of their world tour in support of the LP. During their San Fransisco show last month, Swedish House Mafia also previewed a new Alicia Keys-assisted single titled ‘Finally’ which is yet to be released. The track is actually a cover of the Kings of Tomorrow song of the same name, which featured the singer Julie McKnight.

Creamfields originally started in Cheshire in 1998 and is one of the most popular and well renowned open-air electronic music festivals in the world. The festival had a very successful sell out this year, which marked their 25-year celebrations and continues to deliver world class line ups and next level production, with a continuous growing loyal following and is set to be Swedish House Mafia’s biggest apperance yet. Tickets for the festival went on sale on September 29 and are available for purchase here and as previously stated while the full line-up is yet to be announced you can keep up to date over the Creamfields website.

This EP release is the group’s first project release since their sophomore album Roots which debuted on the charts at 37 and feature hits such as “OT Bop”, “Options”, and “Trust issues”, them three-track alone sit on a combine 170 million teams.

Their new release Headliner features 3 songs titled “only God can judge me” featuring Mist,” Suzanna” featuring Patoranking and “Headliner”. The track “Only God can judge me” was released 2 weeks ago alongside a video on the group’s youtube channel and sits on 622 thousand vies and 655 thousand Spotify streams.

Mists feature is a link-up that many fans wouldn’t have expected but isn’t shocking based on the way in which MIst has been behaving recently with his last 4 single releases seeing the Birmingham rapper perform next to Burna Boy, Mowgs, Kurupt FM, Jaykae and the previously mentioned track alongside NSG.

The next feature is Nigerian afrobeat star Patoranking, this feature is the first time the two have linked up but with NSGs heavy west African influence as well as their control of the UK afrobeats sounds the link up with Patoranking makes a lot of sense. Patoranking is 31 years old and is best known for his international hit “My women my everything” featuring Wande Coal which the artist released in 2015 and amassed just over 30 million youtube views.

With the release of the group’s new project, the group are preparing to start their African tour where between the 10th and 23rd will see the group travel to Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana with the Kenya and Ghana dates already sold out.
