Duran Duran To Bring Annual ‘Danse Macabre’ Halloween Show To Manchester For The First Time In 2025

Duran Duran have announced that their acclaimed annual Halloween show ‘Danse Macabre’, will be coming to the UK for the very first time this Halloween. The one-night-only event will take place at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena on Friday 31 October 2025 – marking the UK debut of what has become a staple in the band’s live calendar.

Fans can expect an unforgettable evening featuring Duran Duran’s iconic hits and rarely performed deep cuts from the band’s extensive catalogue. The concert will be a theatrically immersive Halloween experience like no other – it’s a full-scale, themed celebration of the band’s darker, more experimental side.

Now a highly anticipated yearly tradition, the Danse Macabre Halloween party was first launched in 2022 at the Wynn Theatre in Las Vegas. The night became immortalised in the band’s 16^th studio album ‘Danse Macabre’, released in 2023. Spanning 13 tracks, the album featured brand-new material alongside dark reinterpretations of classic hits. Following a sold out show at Madison Square Garden in 2024, the band is now set to bring the highly anticipated Halloween spectacle across the Atlantic.

Speaking ahead of the show, keyboardist Nick Rhodes said: “We are devilishly delighted to announce that we are bringing our annual Halloween extravaganza to the UK for the first time. It will be a unique, themed show unlike any of our other performances, overflowing with shocks and surprises — so even we do not know what may happen on the night…We invite you to dress for the occasion and Danse Macabre with us at Co-op Live in Manchester on October 31st.”

Frontman Simon Le Bon added: “I’m so excited to be coming to Manchester for this special Halloween concert. In fact, I’m thrilled — and, frankly, a little terrified!”

The announcement follows the band’s upcoming shows in Ireland, supported by Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and two major summer headline dates in Exeter and Chelmsford.

Beyond the stage, Duran Duran have been exploring new creative territories in 2025. Earlier this year, they unveiled a line of luxury fragrances in partnership with Italian perfume house Xerjoff, accompanied by a theatrical, multi-sensory launch event. The band also appeared at the 75th annual Sanremo Music Festival – where they made their debut in 1985 – and are currently on a European tour. Meanwhile, work on new material continues, with recent sessions alongside Nile Rodgers at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios.

Duran Duran Release Halloween Themed Album ‘Danse Macabre’

Just in time for Halloween, Birmingham new-wave pop icons, Duran Duran, have released their sixteenth studio album, Danse Macabre. As the title suggests, this latest venture for the band is full of gothic tricks that is sure to treat both old fans and new.

Duran Duran have stitched together a collection of new songs, themed covers, and re-imagined versions of their older music in this exciting, 13-track album. The band, now made up of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor, have teamed up with producer, Mr Hudson to create their most ambitious and unexpected album yet.

Keyboardist, Nick Rhodes spoke about the album’s conceptions, stating, “The song ‘Danse Macabre’ celebrates the joy and madness of Halloween. It is the title track of our forthcoming album… The idea was born out of a show we played in Las Vegas on October 31st, 2022. We had decided to seize the moment to create a unique, special event…the temptation of using glorious gothic visuals set to a dark soundtrack of horror and humour was simply irresistible.”

The band’s legendary status has allowed them to collaborate with some of music’s newest and oldest talents. Long time collaborator, producer and guitarist, Nile Rogers, features on the album with the record ‘Black Moonlight‘.

In an interview with Duran Duran, Nile Rogers said, “The great thing about working with Duran Duran is that I’ve been there really almost from the beginning. I’ve been able to see that artistic arc, so I always say to myself ‘How do I take that next step?’“.

A relatively new face to the music scene, but one that has packed a punch, is Victoria de Angelis of Italian modern rock band Måneskin, who features as the bassist on Duran Duran’s cover of Talking Head’s ‘Psycho Killer‘. The unlikely bass duo of John Taylor and Victoria de Angelis has breathed new life into the Talking Heads classic.

“I’m so grateful and honoured,” Victoria stated in an Instagram post, “It was so much fun recording together with John and he was so sweet to me and encouraged me to express myself and play it my own way.”

Not only have Duran Duran collaborated with old and new, but they have also chosen to cover rock classics and gothic modern pop hits. Heard on the album is The Rolling Stones’ ‘Paint It, Black’ and Billie Eilish’s gothic anthem, ‘bury a friend’.

Adding to his previous comments, Nick Rhodes said, “The record metamorphosed through a pure, organic process, and not only was it made faster than anything since our debut album, it has also resulted in something none of us could have ever predicted. Emotion, mood, style and attitude have always been at the heart of Duran Duran’s DNA, we search for light in the darkness and darkness in the light, and I feel we have somehow managed to capture the essence of all of that in this project.”

Duran Duran Announce New Halloween Themed Album, ‘Danse Macabre’

Rock n’ roll hall of famers Duran Duran have announced their 16^th studio album, the Halloween-themed Danse Macabre, due for release on October 27^th. The album will feature three brand new tracks, re-imagined deep cuts from the band and a selection of covers.

The conception of the album was inspired by a show the band played last Halloween in Las Vegas in which the band played Halloween themed re-workings of rarities from the band as well as a variety of covers, much like the new album.

The covers on the album include ‘Bury a Friend’ by Billie Eilish, ‘Psycho Killer’ by Talking Heads, ‘Paint It Black’ by The Rolling Stones, ‘Ghost Town’ by The Specials, ‘Spellbound’ by Siouxsie and the Banshees and ‘Supernature’ by Cerrone. The album also features a guest list of Nile Rodgers, Victoria De Angelis from Maneskin as well as former guitarists Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo.

The title track ‘Danse Macabre’ has already been released alongside the album announcement and is available on streaming services now.

Talking about the song, keyboardist Nick Rhodes said: “The song ‘Danse Macabre’ celebrates the joy and madness of Halloween. It is the title track of our forthcoming album, which gathers together an unusual mix of cover versions, reworked Duran Duran songs and several new compositions.

The title track is one of three original tracks from the album alongside other new tracks ‘Black Moonlight’ and ‘Confession in the Afterlife’. Furthermore, long-term fans of the band will be thrilled to learn that the original band line-up of Nick Rhodes, Andy Taylor, Roger Taylor, John Taylor, and Simon Le Bon will be reunited for many tracks on the album.

After tickets went on sale for the UK leg of Muse’s supermassive ‘Will Of The People World Tour’ with Royal Blood, everyone else in the world was left waiting for a time. It was inevitable that the dates would be announced eventually, but why have we been kept waiting so long?! Fortunately, that time has now passed and we have 10 more dates across Europe, maintaining the stadium scale that we have become so used to from Muse. Most tickets go on sale this Friday (September 16^th) at 10am (local time), the only exception being the French shows that go on sale Next Thursday (September 22^nd). The band released their 9^th LP, Will Of The People, a few weeks back and wow… what an experience that album is. Regardless of how on board you are of Muse’s trademark bombast, it’s undeniable that the album takes every conceivable dial and turns it as far as it’ll go – sometimes to its detriment. In an attempt to keep up with the current musical landscape the band also made the decision to sell their album in an NFT format. Making them the first artist to make UK number 1 with the implemented technology.

2 weeks ago, the band released their most recent single, “You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween”, alongside the full album. Exploring their more overtly spooky tendencies, the track sees the band go full Danny Elfman for about 4 minutes. The Tom Teller-directed music video forces as many references to 80’s horror cult classics that it almost feels like a trailer to a pseudo-MCU horror movie, but with the guys from ‘Scream’ instead of Iron Man. As mentioned before, the group announced the UK leg of the tour a few weeks back. With support from Royal Blood, the 4-night tour will see – probably – some massive-scale shows at some of the country’s biggest venues. The shows will kick off at Plymouth’s Home Park on 27^th May 2023. Tickets have already gone on sale so you can try to bag any remaining spots here. If the band’s history is anything to rely on, the shows will carry the tradition of just trying to do everything they did on the last tour… but bigger. Expect massive puppets on stage, fireworks, and maybe even some people floating over the crowd. Who’s to say.

Behemoth Announce “XXX Years Ov Blasphemy” Livestream

Behemoth has been breaking ground and breaking the rules since 1994’s And The Forest Dreams Eternally. With incredible evolutions in albums like Evalgeion (2009), The Satanist (2014), and most recently on I Loved You At Your Darkest (2018). Demonstrating a clear message through their thrashing black metal ingenuity. Now as one of the biggest metal bands in the world, touring alongside bands like Cradle Of Filth, Cannibal Corpse, Slipknot, and so many who have drawn their inspiration from the Polish extreme metal heavy-weights.

Behemoth has announced XXX Years Ov Blasphemy, a digital performance celebrating 30 years of manic live shows via Moment House- a live streaming platform elevating art and music online expierences. It will consist of three sets in three incredible locations, all marked with their signature aesthetic.
It is booked for All Hallows’ eve, October 31st, where Behemoth will reach through the veil to bring a show like no other. After In Absentia Dei (2020) stream the excitement for Behemoth to return to the stage has been higher than ever.

Nergal had this to say regarding it: “30 years of blasphemy and bring on 30 more!”, he continued; “What better night than All Saint’s Eve to celebrate this most unholy Anniversary than with us, as we present the most ambitious project of our career to date, ’XXX Years Ov Blasphemy’. Legions, when I say this is the ultimate cinematic BEHEMOTH experience, I cannot express how much I mean that. Another huge risk for us, but as always, we go feet first and push our limits. Each set will showcase the history of Behemoth and dedicate each show to a decade of their career. Through the sound of pandemonic incantations, on their biggest hits The Apostasy, Evangelion, and 2018’s biggest record, I Loved You At Your Darkest. It will be broadcasted across North and South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Uk, and Africa and be available for 24 hours after the event. With merchandise available for all fans, the first 500 will receive a bonus “Burning Cross” sticker. As well as, releasing their previous stream, In Absentia Dei, as a DVD and Blu-Ray.

The Wytches Release a Halloween Livestream in Advance of their Upcoming Album

The Wytches, a British Surf-Doom band have released a special live streamed performance to mark halloween this year and in advance of their upcoming album which is due of release soon. The set they performed is dark and heavy and perfectly suited for the halloween occasion. The Wytches are known for their dark and twisted sound which they have amplified with creepy visuals and scary costumes in this live video.

The performance was recorded in ‘Birmingham’s underground,’ and uploaded to Instagram by Megatone Sessions. The Megatone Sessions premiered with an electronic artist called Blue Ruth and The Wytches’ halloween performance is a second instalment in the series. The loud and raucous doom sounds of The Wytches sound even more potent in a time of plague. This band have been post-apocalyptic for years so the pandemic must come as no surprise to them.

The Wytches used the most of their halloween performance opportunity by teasing fans with the sounds of their upcoming album release ‘Three Mile Ditch,’ which the band are selling direct to fans on bandcamp with a variety fo deluxe and limited edition options available. The prices they are offering are incredible affordable compared to the mainstream recording industry with a limited edition red vinyl available for just £22, only two more expensive than the standard cut. On top of this fans can also get their hands on a a deluxe bundle including red vinyl, a signed CD and art print, a Cassette and a T-shirt for £50, cheaper than many of the top bundles of more mainstream artists such as The Gorillaz costing much more than this.

Anyone wanting to have an early listen to the songs can also do this on the band’s Bandcamp sight which allows for free unlimited streaming of the album while you consider whether you would like to pre-order a physical copy or purchase a download. Not only is bandcamp more affordable for the listener, it is also better for the artist as they receive money for their sales directly, with a small commission taken by the website, rather than through royalty payments as a traditional label model would have it. Bandcamp have also on a number of occasions on specific dates, waived their commission on all sales made through their service that day, especially throughout lockdown which has given many small or independent artists a much needed financial boost throughout this crisis.

Three Mile Ditch by The Wytches

Like all bands at this moment, the touring plans of The Wytches have been severely impacted by the ongoing restrictions, with the first gig of their new album tour which would have been in Leeds this month being cancelled. Unfortunately for fans across the country the band do not have any more shows scheduled until July 2021 when they are set to play in Cheltenham. The band also have dates arranged on the continent so fans across the channel will likely be crossing their fingers for the R rate to be driven down quickly enough to allow live music again.

Kaiser Chiefs Release New Single ‘Zombie Prom’ for Halloween

Indie band Kaiser Chiefs shared their latest song specially for Halloween, titled ‘Zombie Prom’. Released on Friday 30th October, it was followed up with a spooky music video yesterday.

With a collection of homemade videos, each member dressed up and rocked out the fast-paced song in their own comedic ways. The track was clearly written to lift spirits during the global Covid-19 pandemic, and have fun on Halloween: “We’re at the zombie prom/Everybody dead but they be singing along/We’re at the zombie prom/We’ll never get to heaven cos we’ve done so much wrong.”

According to NME, the band’s frontman Ricky Wilson commented, “It’s been a Halloween of a year. We haven’t been allowed out to play and now we can’t Trick or Treat either. So Kaiser Freaks are inviting you to dance and sing along at our Zombie Prom.”

This is the first new music fans have heard from Kaiser Chiefs this year, after their album ‘Duck’ was released in 2019. The album peaked at number 3 on the Official UK Albums Chart and was a success for the band, who toured throughout early 2020. They did, however, share a reworked version of their hit ‘Oh My God’ on YouTube, with lyrics altered to fit the current situation.

Formed in 200, Kaiser Chiefs consists of members Ricky Wilson (lead vocals), Andrew White (guitar), Nick Baines (keyboards), Simon Rix (bass), and Vijay Mistry (drums). ‘Duck’ was the seventh album which they have released, and they received three BRIT Awards at the beginning of their career – they were for British Rock Act, Live Act, and Best Group.

KISS FM Reveals Line-Up for 2020 Haunted House Party Including Dizzee Rascal, Becky Hill and Joel Corry

Today, UK radio station KISS FM announced the full line-up for the 2020 instalment of their annual Halloween Haunted House Party. The event will take place virtually on Saturday 31st October from 6pm BST – tune in on the official website.

KISS FM posted on Twitter to reveal the acts and other details, saying, “We’re throwing the UK’s BIGGEST Halloween party and you’re all invited!” There’s no need to purchase tickets as the live-stream is free, and will be the perfect way to spend the 31st this year, as Covid-19 has prevented people from going out to parties.

The line-up consists of rapper Dizzee Rascal, who was recently awarded an MBE, followed by Becky Hill, Joel Corry, KSI, Nathan Dawe, S1mba, Ashnikko, and 220 Kid. There will also be special guest appearances from featured artists Ella Henderson, MNEK, and Craig David. Joel Corry tweeted out to his followers about his appearance, saying that he will be bringing “a few special guests”, as did ‘Don’t Need Love’ singer 220 Kid. So perhaps there will be even more artists than have been announced so far.

Presenters of KISS Breakfast Show Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely discussed the line-up on this morning’s show, commenting, “A lot of Halloween parties may be off the cards right now, but fear not – KISS FM have got you. Bringing all the treats and maybe a few tricks, we’ve got some of the biggest KISS artists putting on a party just for you.”

Usually, the Haunted House Party is held at Wembley’s SSE Arena in London, but it has been altered to move online for the unique circumstances of 2020. In 2019, the incredible gig saw the likes of Stormzy, Sean Paul and Anne-Marie take to the stage.
