Social media sensation Sophie Lloyd has announced her debut album and released the title track single, “Imposter Syndrome.” The song features a special guest spot by guitar hero Lzzy Hale of popular American heavy rock band Halestorm.

The highly anticipated debut from the British guitarist is set to feature an impressive list of collaborators, including Trivium’s Matt Heafy, Brandon Saller of Atreyu and Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch. It is her song, “Imposter Syndrome” with Lzzy Hale that Lloyd calls “a dream come true” and is the first single that fans can hear off the album of the same name.

Speaking of the collaboration, Lloyd said, “I’ve been a fan of hers for years growing up, and when I decided to do a collaborative album, her name was the first one that came to mind. She did such an incredible job at taking such a personal thing and making a song that conveys all the emotion I have felt for years.”

Hale, no stranger to Lloyd’s work thus far, added, “I’ve been garnering inspiration from Sophie Lloyd for years! When Sophie asked me to put lyric and song to her amazing instrumental work we talked in depth about how this album has been a tool in helping her overcome her feelings of otherness. It was like thumbing through her diary and also like staring at myself in the mirror. I hope that this song will give strength to anyone who needs it. It was an honour to draw my weapons and with such a talented and stunning soul!”

Lloyd got her start by creating guitar videos and streaming it online on platforms like YouTube. She began by doing covers of popular bands that she enjoyed such as Green Day and Iron Maiden before moving on to classic rock and metal songs. It was’t too long before the guitarist made the sizeable jump from online content creator to massive arena rock star.

The guitarist remains quite humble about her meteoric rise however, saying, “I just kind of wing it. The truth is, I never set out to be an online content creator. I joined YouTube back in the day because there wasn’t a real music scene where I grew up. I had to follow a more unconventional path. I didn’t plan to be a touring musician, either; in fact, I like staying at home and being with my family…. I just love making music, and I’m open to whatever exciting thing comes my way.”
Sophie Lloyd’s album, Imposter Syndrome will be released on 10 November. You can pre-order the album here.

Hard rock Pennsylvania band Halestorm have planned a very special UK and European tour for 2022. As well as touring with Evanescence in the US later in 2021, the band has announced “An Evening With Halestorm”, a very peculiar style of shows. In fact, it consists of playing in smaller venues, as well as performing songs that you might not expect to hear live.

“We are so excited to announce our upcoming ‘Evening With’ tour of the UK and Europe this February through March 2022!” guitarist and lead singer Lzzy Hale stated. “That’s right, all Halestorm, all the time! A collection of up-close and personal shows where we will be performing deep cuts, all the fan-favourites, and even some brand-new songs! Come join us! Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 18!”

For the UK run, the band led by brothers Lzzy and Arejay Hale will play venues of the calibre of the Albert Hall in Manchester, Birmingham’s O2 Academy, concluding in the prestigious O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London (see full dates below). Tickets go on sale here on Friday the 18th of June.

Lzzy recently appeared on SiriusXM and talked about the band’s follow-up album of “Vicious”, released in 2018. She said: “It’s going great. We’re actually kind of in the eleventh hour. Everything is starting to really congeal and just reveal itself. So we’re at the tail end of it. We already have a first single picked; that just happened. So you’re definitely going to be hearing music sooner than later. As far as the release date of the record, I don’t have that yet.”

As per Lzzy’s statements, the new album is produced by Nick Raskulinecz, he seems to be very close to the band, and also worked on Halestorm’s “ReAniMate 3.0: The CoVeRs eP” in 2017. “He’s so passionate and he’s just a fan of music,” she explained. “And I know that sounds surprising — oh, yeah, a music producer that isn’t a fan of music. There are a lot of those; there are a lot of those types of producers that are not fans of your music, let alone really listening to your genre. So it’s just great to be working with a producer that just loves the same kind of music and knows what we can do.”

Halestorm 2022 UK Tour Dates:

27/02/2022 – Albert Hall – Manchester
28/02 – O2 Guildhall – Southampton
02/03 – O2 Academy – Birmingham
07/03 – Barrowlands – Glasgow
09/03 – O2 City Hall – Newcastle
10/03 – Great Hall – Cardiff
12/03 – O2 Academy – Sheffield
13/03 – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire – London

Halestorm have announced a UK tour with In This Moment and New Years Day in support of their latest album, ‘Vicious’.

The three bands will all go on a four-date tour across the UK – Glasgow, Nottingham, Cardiff and London. The tour will start on the 24th of November and end on the 28th of November 2019. Tickets are on sale now and are priced relatively cheap at £32.35. You can purchase them here. The tour will be female-fronted, by Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, In This Moment’s Maria Brink and lastly New Years Day’s Ashley Costello.

Halestorm released their latest album ‘Vicious’ earlier this year and will tour the UK next year in support of it. Vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, has had the idea of a tour like this for a while she told Kerrang: ‘We’ve been wanting to put together a tour like this for a long time. We are some of the hardest working women in rock, so the fact that we are all on the same stage every night is something not to be missed! We support and love each other, and we are representing our genre. This line-up is a beautiful display of what it means to be a strong female example for rock fans everywhere.’

In This Moment have spent the vast majority of 2018 on the road with Halestorm and have been writing while they are on the road. The band is gearing up to release their seventh album which they are planning to enter the studio in February and begin recording. Front women Maria Brink told New York’s Q103 about the process of the new album: ‘Some of my band members are flying in here to Albany and they’re gonna be writing with me for a few weeks here till the next Halestorm tour starts. It has begun. We’re writing on the road as well. So, it’s all happening.’

New Years Day who just dropped a new song this month called ‘Skeletons’ from the band’s forthcoming full-length album, which is due to be released this spring. Front women Ashley Costello also told Kerrang: ‘Every single photo we have ever posted about being on tour with Halestorm and In This Moment, was always flooded with comments of people asking us to bring this same tour to the UK – and now we are. We are so excited to bring our show to more faces and ears and get to meet everyone around the world who wants to head bang with the women of rock.’ Listen to New Years Day new song ‘Skeletons’ below.

25th November – Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham

27th November – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
