The three sisters took to The Park stage, which they’d previously declared as their favourite stage in in the festival, as it was there that their first Glastonbury set took place in 2013. At around 7.45pm, the band kicked things off, filling in a ‘TBA’ slot on the schedule.

Their setlist include hits like ‘The Wire’ from their 2013 album ‘Days Are Gone’, some tracks from ‘Women In Music Pt.III’ including ‘Now I’m In It’ and ‘Gasoline’, and some live favourites like ‘The Steps’ and ‘Want You Back’, before closing things with ‘Down To Be Wrong’ from their 2025 album ‘I Quit’.

During their set, they experienced some sound issues with their microphones, and fans could be heard shouting for the music to be turned up, as it was being drowned out by other stages. But these difficulties were eventually corrected.

Speculation of HAIM’s secret set was fuelled when they joined Jo Whiley for an interview on BBC Radio 2 on June 12. Danielle HAIM spoke of their affinity for the upcoming festival and The Park stage. “We love The Park Stage. The Park Stage is our favourite, ’cause that was like the first time we came to Glastonbury, we got to play The Park Stage. It felt like a movie,”

“It was like, ‘What is going on? How did we get here?’ And also just like… you never forget the first time you step onto the farm. And it’s the most insane feeling, I think, that you’ll ever have. But it was incredible, it’s the best festival in the world.”

When Whiley suggested that HAIM might be free that weekend, bassist/vocalist Este Haim hinted that they “shall be in the area”, and that they picked Doechii as their must-see for the festival.

The Guardian gave a positive four-star review to their set, saying “Down to Be Wrong, a highlight of the record, provides a spectacular final song: Danielle’s voice sounds sublime on the chorus, and it’s even better when sung back to her by a devoted, ardent crowd.”

There are at least four secret sets already pencilled into the line-up this year, including a mysterious band called ‘Patchwork’ taking to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday. This is reminiscent of 2023 when the Foo Fighters appeared as ‘The Churn-Ups’ to a massive crowd.

The rumours have been circulating ever since the line-up was released for the festival – which runs from June 25 to June 29 this year – as to who ‘Patchwork’ will be, with the bookies’ now suspending the odds on two acts to make an appearance.

Britpop icons Pulp seem to be the most likely – according to both the bookies’ and the famed Twitter account ‘SecretGlasto’ – after recently topping the album charts with their first full release in 24 years, ‘More’.

The Sheffield indie legends first headlined Glasto’ 30 years ago after replacing The Stone Roses who had to pull out due to injury. They then repeated that feat just three years later in 1998 before not playing the festival again until 2011.

Well, it now looks like they will be ending their 14-year hiatus later this month, with bookies’ pricing Pulp at 1/2 odds to appear at the festival. This comes after the Twitter account ‘SecretGlasto’ – which has shared reliable insight into the festival in the past – shared a tweet suggesting Pulp will appear on the main stage (see below).

Pulp is not the only band anticipated to show up at Worthy Farm, with American indie sisters HAIM given a 4/9 chance by OddsChecker of playing the Park Stage. The LA trio release their fourth album, ‘I Quit’, on June 20 – just days before the festival kicks off.

The sisters added fuel to the fire last week, sharing their fondness of the Park Stage with BBC Radio 2: “We love the Park Stage, it is our favourite, cause that was like the first time we came to Glastonbury, we got to play The Park Stage. It felt like a movie… it’s the best festival in the world.”

A HAIM show would mark their fifth appearance at the festival following on from their previous outings in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2022.

Kiwi pop sensation Lorde is another heavily rumoured name as she is gearing up to release her new album ‘Virgin’. The ‘Royals’ singer recently told Jo Whiley that she was eager to “pull some strings” to try and make a Glastonbury appearance, so that’s one to keep an eye on.

More big names are certain to show up, according to the bookies’. Ed Sheeran is placed at odds of 1/2 (66 per cent chance) of playing at Worthy Farm for the first time since his headline set in 2017. 

Other names include Mumford & Suns placed at 4/7 (63.6 per cent chance), Lewis Capaldi at 1/1 (50 per cent) and Robbie Williams at 2/1 (33.3 per cent).

With just days to go until the festival gets underway, excitement is building. Friday night headliners, The 1975, recently shared that it will be their only show of 2025 as they prepare for a new album. Check out mxdwn’s coverage of it here.

Speaking on the impact of the album, Alana Haim said, “The crazy thing about ‘Days Are Gone’ is that the first thing that we ever came out with was the ‘Forever’ EP and we put that out on the internet without knowing how to promote things.”

She continued, “We didn’t know how to get music out there. The only thing that we knew was that we were super proud of what we had finally created after being a band for six years at that point. We had finally gotten a recording that we loved, and we were like, ‘Cool, we have this. What do you do with it?’ So we put it on the internet with absolutely no idea what was going to happen. And it completely changed our lives.”

Bassist Este Haim also shared, “A lot of the songs we’ve written when we were in our twenties mean something different to us now that we are in our thirties. I don’t know if we are any wiser, though.”

Following its release in 2013, Days Are Gone reached No.1 on the UK charts, No.2 on the Billboard Top Alternative Rock Album chart and No.6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Haim have also created a special edition vinyl reissue of the album, availabe to pre-order here, set to be released on 29th September.

The Barbie movie has been taking the internet by storm ahead of its release, promising to be all things camp and iconic with its star-studded cast and effective promotional campaigns. Starring Margot Robbie in the titular role, accompanied by Ryan Gosling as everyone’s favourite airhead Ken, the movie has already spawned a major fanbase and multiple memes before it has even hit cinemas.

Accompanying the movie will be Barbie The Album, produced by Mark Ronson and featuring some of the biggest names in music, including Dua Lipa, HAIM, Nicki Minaj, Lizzo, Ice Spice and Khalid.

Dua Lipa recently released her track “Dance the Night” from the soundtrack, followed by Nicki Minaj and Ice’s Spice’s collaboration, “Barbie World.”

Sharing a snippet of “Speed Drive” on Twitter, Charli XCX wrote “this barbie likes to vroom,” referencing the Barbie promotional posters as well as her own beloved track, “Vroom Vroom.”

Charli XCX also took the opportunity to share an exclusive clip of “Speed Drive” in the movie, in which we see Barbie running through the real world accompanied by the track.

“Speed Drive” samples Toni Basil’s classic 1981 track “Mickey,” with Charli XCX telling Rolling Stone that she flipped the track to “feel quite bratty” and to be “about just being hot.”

Charli XCX also revealed to Rolling Stone that she was one of the first artists that Mark Ronson approached when beginning work on the soundtrack and discussed her personal relationship to the Barbie franchise. She said that she’s “always loved the escapism my Barbies provided with me and it’s kind of a full circle moment to be a part of this soundtrack and movie.”

Speaking about the track itself, Charli XCX shared, “I’ve always really liked singing about cars. For me, there is this intrinsic link between driving and music and feeling like you’re a star when you’re in a car.” The star opted to have her track accompany a chase scene in the movie for this very reason.

Ever since his first album drop he has delivered absolute crackers to the scene and has, in the meantime, released a second studio album last year (2022) called Sonder. Reaching successful levels of feedback and a great deal of critical acclaim, the Irishman continues his pop journey to a steady fame. Bringing him to headlining position at his coming festivals.

The festival All Points East is an annual event prepared to, over the course of 10 days, show the public how to put on a show. Based in London’s Victoria Park it allows the audience to indulge in an alternative rock affair with a beautiful combination of other popular music artists.

As Dermot Kennedy joins the club we can officially accept that the lineup has been rounded up. This includes Stormzy, Kehlani, Sampha, Knucks and more on the first day (18th August). The second day (25th August) consists on a different approach to the stage with bands such as The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girl In Red, Amyl And The Sniffers, Black Midi and many, many more good acts.

The third day (26th August) is where our friend Kennedy steps in who will be playing alongside Olivia Dean, AURORA, SG Lewis, Novo Amor and more to be announced. Finally the final day (28th August) will be showcasing Haim, Girl In Red (again apparently), Tove Lo, Confidence Man, Snail Mail, Tamino, Romy and too many more to continue. It is quite a freely directed festival and the layout of the acts seems to work perfectly amongst each other.

Dermot Kennedy will make his appearance in London as a grand finale to finish off his mammoth tour around the globe. Having already commenced, today (4th April) he will be playing at the International Centre in Bournemouth, he will be making his way through several cities in the UK before crossing the pond to the US all the way through May and June. Once his American tour comes to an end in the Big Apple his trip returns to Ireland, Scotland and finally, the Big Smoke.

The festival is based in Victoria Park, London and is taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, falling on 28th August. Tickets are available to purchase here.

 The festival is held over two weekends and is a must for alternative music fans.

Having recently toured the UK, Haim will take a break from their travels this year, with this being the only European show for the sisters in 2023.

They recently made waves by bringing Taylor Swift on stage at The O2 to perform their hit song “Gasoline” as well as Swift’s “Love Story”.  

Haim are set to join an already star-studded line-up for All Points East, joining Angel Olsen, Amyl and the Sniffers and The Strokes.

The festival will also include a day of music curated by Stormzy called the “This is What We Mean Day”, with Stormzy headlining this day himself. Stormzy is teaming up with APE to put together a UK exclusive show back in his hometown.

Sharing the news prior to deleting his social media accounts, Stormzy said “I was thinking what’s next cos we’ve done 3 O2s shut that down. I said to the team we gotta do something bigger something better something different. We were having back to back meetings bouncing ideas.”

He continued, “Then it hit me I started jotting down ideas thinking – live band need a live band. August 2023 a summer time thing outside for the people always for my people. So August 2023 Victoria Park more info coming soon…. This Is What We Mean Day. Hard.”

The Grammy-Award-winning artist was invited to join the performance by guitarist and vocalist Alana Haim, Swift proceeded to join the band in a rendition of their hit single “Gasoline“. Halfway through the performance, Taylor said to the crowd, “Good evening London. You know, I haven’t been on the stage for a very long time, it’s nice, it’s nice, it’s very nice. But, you know, when I heard that my girls were playing in London at the O2 and I thought, ‘I’m gonna have to see that’ and it looks like there’s about 20,000 other people that also thought that.“  

The “Shake It Off” singer continued to address the crowd and proceeded to allude to a mash-up, “We had a thought – that if we were to do some sort of mash-up, we could possibly maybe get you to sing the loudest that you have sung all night, which is a big job because you’ve been singing very loudly, it’s extraordinary work. Would you be up for it? Would you sing with us?”

After an almighty roar from the audience, the band proceeded to play “Gasoline“, Swift then took to the microphone and sang snippets from her hit “Love Story“; both acts then aligned musically to continue the performance of “Gasoline“. Before walking off-stage, Swift saluted the audience and shouted, “Ladies and gentlemen, please take care of my best friends for the rest of the evening. Thanks for having me, good evening.”  

The now infamous performance took place on Thursday 21st July 2022 and served as the concluding show of the band’s UK tour. After several festival appearances in the UK and Europe, Haim proceeded to perform across the UK for their 2022 headlining arena tour. The band have acquired a loyal fan base in the UK due to their catchy hits such as 2012 hit “Don’t Save Me” and “The Steps“. 

The original version of “Gasoline” was taken from the band’s most recent album Women In Music Pt.III, the album was released in 2020 and became Haim’s second number one album within the UK charts. The band’s third studio album was met with much commercial and critical acclaim, Women In Music Pt.III received a Grammy Award nomination for Album Of The Year. In 2021 “Gasoline” was treated to a remix by Swift; the re-worked version was then released as a single and placed within the Top 100 UK Singles Chart. The remix marked the second collaboration between the two acts; Haim and Swift previously worked together on the single “No Body, No Crime“. The track was released in 2020 and included in Swift’s ninth studio album Evermore.

‘The One Last Haim‘ Summer 2022 tour kicks off in Dublin on the 28th of June and ends in London on the 21st of July. Both Manchester’s show’s in July are now sold out.

The band planned to tour their third studio album: ‘Women in Music Pt. III.’, during September of this year, but CDC travel stipulations will mean that they will inevitably have to wait till next year.

Despite these regulations, the band stated in an interview with NME that they would be ramping it up for their fans attending the summer shows to compensate for this year’s cancellation.

Special guest Georgia will also be performing at their UK and Dublin Tour.

‘Gasoline’, as mentioned by Georgia in her post, is one of the tracks from HAIM’s latest album ‘Women In Music Pt. III’, which the tour is in promotion of. Released on 26th June 2020, the album (according to the band) is about “being fearless and not holding yourself back.”

The album was critically acclaimed, and the fan reception was just as supportive, as the album went to Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart. Singles ‘Summer Girl’, ‘Now I’m In It’, ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘The Steps’ were all shared prior, each bringing in millions of views on YouTube.

Georgia’s sophomore album ‘Seeking Thrills’ came out earlier this year in January, so fans can expect some of her most popular tracks from the record to be performed live in her set, as well as from her self-titled 2015 album and numerous EPs and singles. Despite having to reschedule her 2020 tour, Georgia has had an incredible year. She was nominated for a Mercury Prize, performed for Radio 1’s Virtual Big Weekend, planned her own ‘Seeking Thrills’ tour dates for next year, and recently released a re-worked version of ‘Feel It’ with Yung Baby Tate and Todla T.

HAIM have always had a special love for the UK, in a statement to OfficialChats.com following their newest album hitting number one, the band said; “The UK has always supported us and we are forever grateful, we wish we could celebrate with you all but we feel your love all the way here in Los Angeles.”

This tour comes after the band released their third studio album in June Women in Music Pt. III, which debuted at number one in the UK charts. The album got great reviews all around, receiving 5 stars from NME and got 8.6 out of 10 from Pitchfork.

In an interview with Variety, band member Danielle talked about the album saying; “It was the most fun we’ve had making an album, and the most spontaneously that we’ve ever made music. This is my favorite album we’ve made, and I hope that people can hear that confidence.”
