The band first burst on the hard rock scene in Los Angeles in 1985 composed of five members: Axl Rose and his extensive vocal range, Slash’s full and expressive lead guitar, Izzy Stradlin’s grounding rhythm guitar, Duff McKagan on the bass guitar building a rhythmic foundation, and Steven Adler’s swinging, energetic drum grooves.

Their 1987 debut album, ‘Appetite for Destruction’, gained global recognition after ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ became a No. 1 hit. With over 30m copies sold worldwide, it earned its title as one of the best-selling debut albums in history, while it’s other tracks, such as ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Paradise City’, became fan favourites and cemented the Guns N’ Roses’ place in rock history.

In 1991, the band claimed No.1 and No.2 on the Billboard charts following the release of the double albums ‘Use Your Illusion I’ and ‘Use Your Illusion II’. These two records highlights the band’s evolution as they blend their raw sound with ballads like ‘November Rain’ and ‘Don’t Cry’.

The legendary global tour that followed became the final tour Guns N’ Roses would play together as by the mid-1990s a series of departures shattered the original line up, leaving Axl Rose as the sole original member. 

To the fans’ delight, they partially reunited in 2016 and Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan began one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, ‘Not in This Lifetime…Tour’. 

Last week, the band began teasing a 2025 world tour announcement and released their tour dates on Instagram today, alongside their named special guests Public Enemy, Rivals Sons, and Sex Pistols.

Beginning in Saudi Arabia, the ‘Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things’  Tour will stretch across the Middle East and Europe from late spring to early summer next year, with US tour dates possibly added later. 

The UK will host Guns N’ Roses twice as they play in Birmingham Villa Park and London Wembley Stadium in late June. Pre-sale tickets will become available to buy at 9am tomorrow (December 10).

Raw energy, rebellious spirit, and innovative musicality are just three qualities that make Guns N’ Roses icons of Rock ‘n’ Roll with their influence transcending generations. This tour will give them an opportunity to showcase their recent singles as well as perform their much-loved classic hits for fans of all ages. 

Ozzy has not performed a full concert since 2018, however his son Jack says he’s still keen to do one-off shows. Talking to The Messenger, Jack said, “I don’t think he’ll tour again. But he’s gunning to do one-off shows — like festivals, gigs, things like that. He’s not done yet.”

Speaking on his health himself, Ozzy shared, “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready [to perform] yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.” He released this statement following the cancellation of his slot at Power Festival in California, where he was set to headline alongside Metallica, AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses.

Ozzy also revealed on SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks that he recently had a blood clot removed from an artery. He said, “When I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is.”

He continued, “So, on Monday, I went to have it removed. The blood clots have jammed you all up. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life.”

Despite his multiple health concerns, Ozzy is keen to keep performing despite retiring from touring. He said, “You can’t retire from this game. It’s not a job, it’s a fucking passion.”

Ozzy has also announced his plans to record an LP in 2024, sharing, “I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be recording in the early part of next year. I want to take my time with this one!”

He also took to social media to share the 40th Anniversary vinyl reissue of his iconic album, Bark at the Moon. The album was released on 15th November 1983 after the release of the titular track earlier on, becoming triple platnum in the US.

Power Trip is an upcoming heavy metal music festival set to take place on 6th-8th October. Although this is the first instance of the event, it is being described as a sequel to 2016’s Desert Trip, a 6 day festival that also took place in Indio, California. Headliners of Desert Trip included Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and The Who.

The rockstar was set to perform at Power Trip this October alongside headliners Metallica, AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses. However, in a statement released in July, Osbourne revealed that “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed”.

As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.

It has since been revealed that Judas Priest will serve as Ozzy’s replacement at the upcoming event.

The 74-year-old acquired a neck injury after a fall in 2019 that required 2 metal plates to be inserted into his spine. The result of this caused the singer more pain, and meant he required more surgery last year, from which he is still recovering. The heavy metal legend has also been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, all of which contributed to his decision to retire from touring. Osbourne made the announcement of his retirement on February 1st.

Although the English rocker was optimistic about being able to return to the stage, his wife Sharon Osbourne stated in an interview with Rolling Stone that “He’s doing a lot better, but he still has a long way to go before he can perform a full concert.”

Sharon was joined by daughter Kelly Osbourne, who, when asked about her father’s decision not to perform at Power Trip, claimed that “We can’t talk about it in the house because it is just so heartbreaking to see that all he wants is just one more show”. 

“He said that if he can’t give his fans what they paid to see, he won’t do it”.

Although this decision was clearly very tough to make, Ozzy Osbourne assured fans in his announcement, “I love you all and I will see you soon.” 

The suit delivered pizzas to festival-goers who were unable to make it to the food stands due to the massive crowds. The jet suit pilots were fly directly to their customers without having to leave their spot in the crowd.

Not only did Domino’s Pizza Jet Suit catch the attention of the crowd, but it also caught the attention of social media users. One user tweeted, “wtf is going on at Domino’s Glastonbury then” along with a video of the Domino’s delivery worker landing.

Footage first emerged on Tuesday where people arriving early for the festival witnessed a man in a jet suit hover around Glastonbury. After the pilot placed two pizzas into the custom-made delivery box at the top of his suit, he blasted off into the air and controlled movement using hand gestures. This allowed the pilot to manoeuvre through the crowds of Glastonbury with ease.

Glasto, more commonly known by its name Glastonbury Festival, takes place over the course of five days. This year, it is taking place between Wednesday, June 21 until Monday, June 26. The lineup for 2023 includes artists such as Central Cee, Lil Nas X, Lewis Capaldi, Lizzo, Royal Blood, and Carly Rae Jepson. Normally, around 200,000 people attend this festival every year. Nonetheless, this year’s Glastonbury marks the world’s first pizza company to deliver food via jet pack.

It is said that the jet suit idea was inspired by Elton John’s “Rocket Man” song. Elton John will be headlining the Pyramid Stage on Sunday (June 25). Over the course of the event, musicians including Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses will also be headlining the festival. However, it is still unsure whether Arctic Monkey’s will be performing. The frontman of the band, Alex Turner, was diagnosed with acute laryngitis.

In addition to this, Sir Elton John’s husband has revealed that four other stars would be performing alongside Elton. The Evening Standard speculated a variety of possible celebrities include Britney Spears, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Eminem, Kate Bush, and Taron Egerton.

Live performances from the festival will be available to watch on the BBC.

Music from this years Glastonbury acts will be available to watch live across BBC One, Two, Three and Four. The performances will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds throughout the festival. Presenting the BBC Glastonbury shows will be Clara Amfo, Jack Saunders, Lauren Laverne and Jo Whiley. The BBC will provide Glastonbury coverage live over the weekend, beginning Friday 23 June, 12pm until late evening – until Sunday 25 June late evening.

The BBC will provide audiences with live Glastonbury performances, preview programmes, interviews with performers and more. Live performances will be available to watch from the Pyramid stage, West Holts, John Peel, Other and Park Stages.
Over 90 performances will be broadcast on BBC iPlayer for audiences to watch for up to 30 days after the event. Emerging UK artists performing on the BBC Introducing Stage will also be available to stream for a week after Glastonbury, from Monday 26 June until Friday 30 June.

The festival will be broadcast all day on BBC Sounds from Wednesday 21 June. Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra, Radio 2 and Radio 6 will provide audiences with extensive coverage of the event. In addition to the live coverage of Glastonbury 2023, BBC iPlayer will be airing several shows in the lead-up to the festival. The launch of a brand new show, called Signed, will be available to stream on the broadcaster, which will show every Pyramid stage live performance in British Sign Language.

The highlight’s from the performances on Friday will be shown on BBC Two at 7.30pm. Arctic Monkey’s Glastonbury set will be available to watch live on Friday 23 June on BBC Two from 10.30pm until Midnight. BBC Three will show performances from Fred Again.. and will continue to cover the highlights from Friday’s Glastonbury performances, including Shygirl and Wizkid.

On Saturday 24 June on BBC One, Lizzo and Lewis Capaldi’s performances will be available to watch at 9pm until 10pm. To watch Guns N’ Roses perform, BBC Two will be covering their set from 10pm until 2am. BBC Three will be covering Central Cee and Loyle Camer at 12.15am until 2am.

On the final day of the event, Sunday 25 June, coverage from the festival will begin at 5pm on BBC One, with highlights of Rick Astley and Blondie’s sets. Elton John will perform his last ever performance on the Pyramid stage at 9pm, which will be available to watch on BBC One. Elton John’s set will finish just after 11pm. The War on Drugs and Queens of the Stone Age‘s performances will be available to watch on BBC Four from 10pm until 12.15am. BBC Two will broadcast a show from 11pm until 12.20am, with the BBC presenter’s wrapping up the Glastonbury Festival weekend.

Jovi Bunce and Abigal Pearce from Didsbury were the fortunate couple to win the tickets. In the video Jovi uploaded to YouTube on the 25^th April, an unexpecting Abigal is seen kissing the bar before opening it and finding the coveted tickets. All profits from the limited-edition bars will go to Glastonbury’s charity partner Oxfam. Set up by Dutch television producer and journalist Teun van de Keuken back in 2005, Tony’s Chocolonely is an award-winning company that made its products available in the UK in 2019. The ticket containing chocolate bars will be available to purchase until the 16^th June. Bars are sold out online but are still available to purchase at your local Oxfam shop for just £3.99. Find your local store here. Tony’s Chocolonely shared the video of the couple winning the tickets on its Twitter page writing, “Drum roll.. we have our first winner! This year the last wave of Glastonbury tickets sold out in just six minutes on the 23^rd April leaving many wannabe festival-goers gutted they missed out. The festival will be held from 21^st – 25^th June on Worthy Farm with Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, and Elton John headlining the Pyramid Stage. Other acts playing Glasto include Lana Del Rey, Lizzo, The War On Drugs, Chvrches, Shygirl, Rina Sawayama, Lil Nas X, Blondie, Alt-J, Christine And The Queens, Carly Rae Jepsen, Fred Again.., FLO, Joey Bada$$, and Manic Street Preachers. They have just announced three acts set to be supporting the rock band. Amongst these, be ready to be warmed up by the rock legends from the 80’s, Pretenders. Alongside them, the grammy nominated band Larkin Poe from the US. And let’s not forget The Darkness band from the 2000’s rock scene.

The Pretenders performance will be the wrap up for their UK and Ireland tour starting this May and finishing on the 30th June, as mentioned before, at Hyde Park. The tour is named “Relentless” after their soon to be released album – Relentless. However, Chrissie Hynde is handling the situation in a very secretive manner and still hasn’t revealed any valuable information about the official drop.

Larkin Poe lurk close behind their, band support, peers. The Nashville band formed by the multi-instrumentalist sisters Rebecca Lovell and Megan Lovell. It seems like the duo will be mainly showcasing their best hits from their latest album release Blood Harmony. This being their sixth studio album.

Finally, the British rock band, The Darkness, will be playing as Guns N’ Roses support act and will be playing another live show in Norway where they will be supporting KISS on their End Of The Road world tour, on the 15th of July before the bands official tour in November where they will be visiting Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

It is going to be the first time Guns N’ Roses perform at the BST Festival this year. They will be playing amongst our global, music industry’s leading figures from the past few decades, including Bruce Springsteen, BLACKPINK, Billy Joel, Take That and P!nk. All playing on consecutive weekends.

This years edition celebrates que festivals 10th year anniversary from when they first launched. It is an event which consists on a series of live shows held over two or three weekends at Hyde Park in London. Over the years it has hosted the biggests acts in the world such as Celine Dion, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam, The Strokes, The Who, Adele … you name it.

The artists that have been named so far are Hall & Oates’ Daryl Hall for Billy Joel, Gwen Stefani for P!NK, Sabrina Carpenter, upcoming English pop-singers Caity Baser and Mae Stephens, and South Korean indie rockers for BLACKPINK, The Script and Sugababes for Take That, plus plenty more of supporting acts yet to be revealed.

The Guns n’ Roses guitarist confirms BerserkerGang’s first production to be coming out in the acclaimed film festival in Cannes this May time. It is no news that Slash enjoys delving into the film industry. About a decade ago he founded the production company Slasher Films dedicated to making films of the bloodbound genre.

Coming up in May, the company’s first film production will be announced. Alongside the Raven Banner and the Hangar-18 team, however, they collaboratively produced the film “The Breach”, which is what lead to the creation of BerserkerGang, after having been screened at the Fantasia Film Festival in Canada and at UK’S FrightFest.

It is an establishment focusing on good quality horror films, manufactured and tailored to resonate the companies desired relishing. “The aim of BerserkerGang will be quality over quantity,” explains Hunt “We will be selectively choosing projects that we collectively feel best represent the brand”. 

Their team have come together in a passion for fury. Clearly represented in their slogan “Films Forged In Fury”, we confirm the latter. Here we observe the joining of the film-genre’s enthusiasts and a very heavy guitar slasher who can’t get enough of the dark side of our entertainment industry. The indication of where the project will be heading, should be sitting quite clearly now.

Slash’s taste lays on old school horror films from the 1970’s. Poured over by a slow burn suspense which stretches out until the final blow – a terrifying jump scare. The psychology behind the terror is what captures the audience into this mind twisting, two hour torture. And this is reflected greatly in the heavy metal star’s film “The Breach”. “I’m an old-school sort of horror fan,” Slash says. “We’ve been using Lovecraftian kind of references on this, but it definitely has sort of a slow burn, sort of 70s aesthetic, and there was a suspense thing because you really don’t know what the fuck is going on until the last act. It’s the kind of thing where, for me, it’s more cerebral than it is just everything, you know, spilled out onto the screen. He knows my style, so he knew I would dig it.”

From the looks of things, the company will be an appreciated contribution to the horror film industry, and will be well received also.

Among the list of announced acts are; Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Ray, Chvrches, Lizzo, Kelis, Aitch, Christine and the Queens, Raye, Rudimental, Stefflon Don, Alison Goldfrapp, Mahalia, Rina Sawayama, FLO, Royal Blood and many more. Lil Nas X will return to the Glastonbury stage to perform before Elton Johns performance. Lana Del Ray will perform on the other stage. She performed in 2014 at Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage. Lizzo will perform before american rock band, Guns N’ Roses, take to the stage.

The announcement is expected to produce a controversial reaction from fans, due to the all-male headliners. 52% of the 54 artists announced so far are male. Co-organiser of the Glastonbury Festival, Emily Eavis, confirmed that Guns N’Roses were booked as headliners after a female artist, whose name has not been revealed, “changed her touring plans.” Eavis explained that she hopes the artist will headline within the next five years. Many fans had hopes for Taylor Swift to headline in 2023, however her ‘The Era’s Tour’ will be taking place in the US during this years festival. The singer was announced as a headliner for the 2020 Glastonbury Festival but the event was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Eavis confirmed her hopes for next years Glastonbury, explaining we could expect two female first-time headliners for the 2024 festival. One act has reportedly been confirmed, whereas another is still in the process of being confirmed. Madonna and Rihanna are among the most highly anticipated acts to headline the festival, as both have never performed at Glastonbury.

The festival made the news headlines last year, as it was announced ticket prices were increasing significantly. Emily Eavis commented on the situation, “We put it up the minimum we could. In order to do the exact same show as last time, we would have had to put £100 on the ticket. That’s the amount that costs have gone up.” The tickets for the 2023 Glastonbury festival went on sale in November and are currently sold out. There will be a resale of any returned or cancelled tickets in April, with a set date yet to be announced.
