The intimate, all day party will take place, at Oval Space, in London, on Saturday the 7th of September 2019.

Just as festival season comes to an end, Goose Island have revealed details of this year’s Hop Party, including who will be performing at the all day event. The intimate gig, which will be on from 3pm to 11pm, will include a headline performance by Stockport-born indie band Blossoms, along with sets from Shame, Park Hotel, Hackney Colliery Band, Rob Da Bank, and a DJ set from Mystery Jets.

There will also be all the best beer courtesy of The Goose Island Brewpub, a selection of street food, and Rockaoke! Tickets for the all day event went, on sale, yesterday Friday the 9th of August, at 9am. Tickets are £12.50, with all proceeds going to arts charity Drake Music, which pioneers the use of music technology to break down disabling barriers to making music.

The event will also have a special Blossoms IPA on sale. Named Blossoms SK-Brew in honour of the band’s hometown of Stockport, the IPA – brewed by Goose Island – is 6.4% and promises “notes of mango, grapefruit and pine.” Mystery Jets’ performance will come via a DJ set from lead singer Blaine Harrison.

Speaking about the forthcoming show, Blossoms, said: “We’re delighted to have teamed up with Goose Island to create our very own SK-Brew. Playing a really intimate show is something we’ve always loved doing too, hop’fully the gig will be a barrel of laughs.”

The forthcoming show comes after Blossoms released their latest single, ‘Your Girlfriend’, which was their first new material since the release of their second album, ‘Cool Like You’. The band also recently covered Billie Eilish’s ‘Bury A Friend’, for Radio 1’s Lounge.

Meanwhile, Mystery Jets announced their new album ‘A Billion Heartbeats’, on Thursday the 6th of August 2019.  The announcement coincided with the band releasing their new single, ‘Screwdriver’, which is a message of defiance against the alt-right. The album, the band’s first since 2016’s ‘Curve Of The Earth’, is set to be released, on the 27th of September 2019.

While, Shame have been silent since they finished touring last year, in support of their debut album, ‘Songs Of Praise’. However, they previewed three new songs with a tiny show, at London’s Social, back in March 2019.
