Each artist will donate a track to the project which will pressed just 100 times each, creating 700 unique 7” records. Additionally, artists, designers and illustrators from around the globe will be called to design special sleeves for each track, making every record and one-of-a-kind collectible. The 700 unique sleeve designs will be on display at London’s 180 Studios from August 18-30, 2026 and available to purchase via online auction running until September 2, 2026.

Buyers may make guesses based on the sleeve artwork as to which vinyl they will receive, but the track remains a mystery until it is purchased.

All of the proceeds from the auction will go towards War Child’s work delivering mental health support, emergency aid and protection to children and families in areas of conflict across 13 countries. Previously, the Secret 7” Auction has raised more than £900,000 for War Child’s efforts.

John Lennon will be donating his track ‘Out of the Blue’ from the 1973 ‘Mind Games’ album. While The Last Dinner Party will contribute their single, ‘Let’s Do It Again!’ which was featured on the recently released ‘Help (2)’ compilation album from War Child. Gabrielle has given her 2001 hit, ‘Out of Reach.’ And fans of The Maccabees will be excited to hear their 2009 track, ‘No Kind Words’ will be apart of the auction. It will be the song’s first standalone physical release. In a post announcing their contribution, the band encouraged fans to submit artwork for the auction saying their “work will be a missing part of [their] catalogue.”

And Bastille will contribute ‘Hope For The Future’ a track originally penned for a climate emergency documentary about wildfires which ravaged Portugal in 2017, From the Devil’s Breath.

Artwork submissions for the sleeves are open now on the Secret 7” website.

Gabrielle has announced that she’ll be hitting the road, performing dates around the UK and Ireland, in April and May 2019. It will be the stars first performance on Irish shores in over ten years, with the confirmation of her ‘Under My Skin’ UK & Ireland headline tour. The tour, is in support of the stars album also titled ‘Under My Skin’, will see the signer kick start her tour in Glasgow, on the 23rd of March 2019 and will be concluded in Gateshead, on the 5th of April 2019. The headline tour coincides with the her debut appearance as the main support act on Rick Astley’s UK tour. Tickets for the tour went on sale today.

The tour will see the singer/song-writer bring out her signature hits as well as performing songs from her most recent album ‘Under My Skin, which was released in August this year. The record is the Londoner’s, sixth studio album and it reached No. 7 in the UK charts, which was her best charting performance since ‘Rise’ topped them in 2000. The album is also the stars first in eleven years and marks twenty-five years since the release of her massive debut single ‘Dreams’, which quickly stormed the charts all over Europe and Australia, announcing her as one of the biggest new names in pop.

‘Under My Skin’ is about being in love, Gabrielle says : “finding that person after you’ve been in shit relationships and you’re looking for that commitment. Because right now you’re feeling so good about yourself, but I want you to show me, is this real? My writing is about life, relationships, situations that you go through, positive and negative. I was inspired by my own real life events and people that I know as well. There’s one song, ’Every Step’, I wrote that for a close friend of mine who’s going through a shit time in their relationship.

She continued: “Another one called ‘Stronger’ is about being there for friends, when they’re losing confidence in themselves, because they’ve gone to this dark corner of their mind where they shut everybody out. And I think that’s when you present yourself – that show of strength and unity. That song is about being there for someone through thick and thin.”

In terms of the vibe of the new album, it’s a blend of old and new, she says: “It’s definitely classic Gabrielle. There are songs like ‘Breathe’, ‘Every Step’, they’re slightly different … and there’s songs like ‘Signs’ which are very retro sounding. I think you’ll hear things on this album and you’ll be like, yes that’s Gabrielle and yes that’s really cool.”

Gabrielle is one of the UK’s most decorated singer-songwriters, having sold over 5 million records in the UK alone, as well as two No. 1 singles, ten Top 10 singles, a No. 1 album and five Top 10 Albums. She is also a two time BRIT Award winner, receiving the Best British Breakthrough Act in 1994 and the Best British Female Solo Artist in 1997, as well as also picking up various MOBO Awards and an Ivor Novello for Outstanding Song Collection.
