Do All Words Can Do and the 10th-anniversary edition of David Comes To Life will be issued by Matador Records, who have had the band on their artist roster for thirteen years, having signed them in the Spring of 2008. Do All Words Can Do will be comprised of nine tracks taken from the David Comes To Life era, with the first track being a demo version of the emotive fan favourite “Queen of Hearts”. There are also some previously unheard tracks featured on the album, such as “What Would You Do” and “Octavio Made The Bomb”. You can listen to the title track here.

David Comes To Life is Fucked Up’s third full-length album, released originally on the 6th of June 2011. Whilst the band’s musical catalogue is hardcore punk at its core, they often branch out into different genres such as psychedelic rock and indie rock. In addition, their albums often follow narrative concepts, featuring a character named David Eliade. Guitarist Ben Cook has described David Comes To Life as being a “musical”; a fitting label given that the album runs for an impressive seventy-eight minutes across eighteen songs that detail a love story between David Eliade and a girl named Veronica.

Jonah Falco, Sandy Miranda and Josh Zucker recently discussed the writing and recording process of David Comes To Life on Matador Records’ Revisionist History podcast. You can listen to the episode here.

The 2xLP re-issue of David Comes To Life will be released on the 12th of December, and will pressed on “lightbulb yellow” vinyl. It can be pre-ordered here. What Words Can Do is set for release on the 25th of March 2022, and will be pressed on black vinyl.
