Clavish just released his first EP, 2022, and gave fans exactly what they would have wanted with a five-track long project where the rapper showcased his laid back rapping approach which he is able to uphold while still keeping up with immense rap ability. The project which was released by universal music currently sits on 1.5 million Spotify streams after being out for just over 3 weeks.

On the opening track titled “Blue Plate” on the rappers’ debut project, he speaks at the end of the track about how his time in jail helped him realise that he should take his music career more seriously after being told by people serving 8 to 10 years that he needs to put more effort into it.

The rapper released his first track in 2018, releasing his first project in 2021 and only releasing around 12 singles during this time. With his latest project being titled 2022  and his most recent track titled “2022 intro freestyle” it looks as though the rapper will be using 2022 to release music and continue with consistent drops. 

Potter Payper, who charted 3rd with his first project following his 3-year prison sentence, and Nines who is currently in jail after topping the charts with his last project Crabs In a Bucket are examples of how artists can very easily find themselves falling back into the roads and the content they rap about instead of focusing on the music.

Clavish’s laid back persona was upheld with this freestyle with the video seeing the rapper sitting on a chair in the studio wearing a vest, the rapper freestyle sees a bar where he says “Couple features that I’m scheming on, got couple names. I want a song with Dave, I need a song with Drake”. Clavish planning his future moves suggest he is fully committed to music and with his Instagram comments having comments from Dave that feature may not be as far away as it seems.
