Joe Trohman has embarked on his own side gig, releasing a sticker bag commentating on a recent tour cycle.Chicago based rockstars, Fall Out Boy are not individuals to shy away from the odd side hustle. Bassist and poetical songwriter, Pete Wentz owns his own record label, owned a nightclub, a jewellery line and a clothing line, Trohman is now stealing his thunder with his own project.

Fall Out Boy itself was spun at the very fingertips of Trohman and Wentz in 2001, it was viewed by the duo as a side project from the hardcore punk scene they were all too familiar with. After recruiting Patrick Stump as a vocalist, Fall Out Boy swiftly reached mainstream success with their major label debut, ‘From Under The Cork Tree’. The beloved classic was released in 2005 by Island Records and debuted on the US Billboard 200 and No. 9. The albums as the birthplace of the bands most notorious hit, ‘Sugar We’re Going Down’.

The group embarked on a preposterous world tour, ‘So Much For (Tour) Dust’ this was in support of their eight-studio album, ‘So Much (For) Stardust’. The tour took place from June 2023 all the way through to May 2024 and consisted of 79 shows in total. This era of Fall Out Boy was new, improved and all the more positive as the band grew not only as individuals but as a collective group. The last fully solo headlining tour took place in 2018, the. ‘MANIA Tour.’ This was in support of their album of the same name, ‘Mania’.

Whilst on this turbulent tour, the bands guitarist Trohman compiled numerous snap shots which have now reincarnated into a physical sticker book for fans to have and enjoy. The book is self published and goes by the quirky name, ‘Goose Of Your Dreams’. It aims to capture behind the scenes and never before seen moments for fans to engage in from a distance. The book is set to consist of a wide array of footage all shot on film from the bands elongated time of the road.

The synopsis of the new project reads “Goose Of Your Dreams by Joe Trohman is a collection of photos from around the world, shot during the So Much (for) Stardust tour – capturing the quiddity that often passes unseen.’

Trohman released a limited number of 100 signed copies available on his website however all seem to have been swept up rapidly. The limited edition black cover has sold out however there are still copies of the ‘Regular Edition’ of the book available on Trohman’s website. Fans can also join the ‘Goose Of Your Dreams’ newsletter in the hopes that we receive more similar projects in the future.

You can get your copy online now if you wish the dive even deeper into Fall Out Boy’s turbulent tour lifestyle!

‘Folie à Deux’, French for, a madness shared by two is the name of Illinois rock band, Fall Out Boy’s fourth studio album. As of December 16 2025 it has officially been 17 years since the albums release and hindsight sure is 20/20.

Upon the albums original 2008 release, fans and critics alike were not entirely fond of the band’s stylistic departure from their pop-punk roots. The album was viewed as a sort of taboo among fans and was the last project before the band took a hiatus shortly after.

Fans were desperate to cake their eyes in eyeliner, lace up their converse and scream along to Pete Wentz shouting slam poetry at the end of new songs, safe to say that is far from what they received.

‘Folie à Deux’ adapted a much more experimental and operatic sound in comparison to the rustic riffs featured on ‘From Under The Cork Tree’ and ‘Infinity On High’. Fans were extremely open about their distaste toward the record, booing during shows, demands to play earlier songs, arguments online and all in all creating an overly hostile environment for the band, it’s no mystery as to why the band decided to depart from the limelight shortly after such a negative outpouring.

Looking through a lens of older age and growth, fans have now reclaimed the album and many dub it their favourite release, shamefully it took far too long for Folie á Deux to receive the kudos it deserved however at least it is now finally appreciated.

If anything, the experimentation aspects, and advanced sound that occurred during the production of the album brought the band to where they are today and boosted their longevity. Fall Out Boy continue to have no trouble selling out arena tours and amounting close to 30 million listeners on Spotify each month. Something that in the dark 2008 days they could have never dreamt of.

For artists to grow, it is crucial they embark on a range of stylistic ventures, however scene and emo kids would not dare to part from the marriage between Fall Out Boy and their edgier beginning.

A notorious track from the album, ‘What a Catch, Donnie’ was viewed as the bands potential swan song. There were rumours bustling around that this would be their last music video, with such melancholy lyrics guaranteed to pull on heartstrings, maybe fans were starting to feel remorse for their critical treatment towards the guys.

‘I don’t care’, is also an instant classic, a tongue in cheek confident ballad potentially mocking famous people surrounding the band at the time, attempting to piggyback off their success.

The band shared a celebratory instagram post captioned, ‘17 years with Folie à Deux’. Followers rapidly flooding the comments with their praise and appreciation of the record 17 years on.

In the year 2025, ‘Folie à Deux’ is rightfully treasured and now is looked upon with a warming nostalgia and welcomed with open arms. There is no need to compare the album to what came before or after, it reigns high among the hearts of many. Fall Out Boy continues to expand their sound, leaning into a more pop-fueled musical journey.

All hands to the pump! Download have just announced their 2024 day tickets as well as the final remaining weekend tickets.

Day tickets for this year’s Download Festival have just literally gone on sale.

Along with the remaining weekend passes, the Donnington Park festival has now launched what is ostensibly a limited run of day tickets ahead of June.

So whether it’s Fall Out Boy that whets your whistle on Saturday’s, or if it’s Friday’s showing of the stellar Queens Of The Stone age that gets your focus, or if you’re after catching Avenged Sevenfold on Sunday you can, quite literally, take your pick—for now.

Naturally, there is plenty to pick from beyond the headliners. QOTSA day will feature the likes of Royal Blood, Polyphia, Bad Omens, Mr. Bungle and even a surprise Avalance Stage headline set from Busted. On Saturday, meanwhile, Fall Out Boy will be joined on the Apex Stage by The Offspring, Enter Shikari, BABYMETAL and more, while elsewhere that day will include While She Sleeps, Tom Morello, Billy Talent and Holding Absence. Then, there’s one massive party before A7X on the Sunday – with Bowling For Soup, Sum 41 and Limp Bizkit all getting things nice and warmed up for the Huntington Beach metallers. On the other stages you can catch fellow heavyweights like Machine Head, Corey Taylor and The Used.

Download Festival is a rock festival created by Terrance Gough, held annually at the Donington Park motorsport circuit in Leicestershire, England (since 2003); in Paris, France (since 2016); at Parramatta Park, Sydney (since 2019); Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne (since 2018) and at the Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg, Germany (since 2022).

Download at Donington is the most popular and has hosted some of the biggest names, including Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Metallica, Linkin Park, Korn, Soundgarden, Motörhead, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Kiss, Judas Priest, Rammstein, Status Quo, Mötley Crüe, Journey, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Faith No More and Guns N’ Roses.

But hurry, I’m sure tickets won’t be on sale for long.

Get your Download Festival 2024 tickets now.

Fall Out Boy announced new UK tour dates, five years after their Mania tour in 2018. This Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling rock band is gracing the stages of the UK in promotion of their latest album, released back on March 24.

Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley, and Joe Trohman, the four members of Fall Out Boy, posted on Instagram earlier in the year to let fans know, that following on from their new album release, they had a new tour called, So Much for (Tour) Dust. In the video post, they also revealed the names of their supporting acts.

Fall Out Boy released their 8th album called, So Much (for) Stardust. This is also the title track on the new album (track no.13).

The album peaked at No.3 in the UK Official Top 40 album chart. Their first single to be released from So Much (for) Stardust, is called “Love From The Other Side.”

Fans were quick to respond to the band’s announcement on Instagram and comments showed a stir of eagerness and excitement among fans.

One Fan commented “Let’s gooo” and another with, “It’s a good day to be alive.” There was also this comment expressed, “This sounds like old School Fall Out Boy 2005-2009.”

In an interview with NME music magazine regarding their leading song from the album, “Love from the other side”, it was also then suggested to be sounding and feeling like the original Fall Out Boy energy. Which ties into what some fans were hearing from the new single.

Here is what the lead singer Patrick Stump thought to that fore mentioned vibe, he said, “It’s not a throw back record.” and “I wouldn’t say that the whole of ‘So Much (For) Stardust)’ is this fast, hard rock record but throughout there is this feeling of just us, together, which I was really happy to hear again.”

This tour of new songs, promises an even deeper look into who the band really are. Commonly referred to as the face of emo music, since the early 00’s, Patrick Stump adds, “It’s the kind of hurt you get when you’re in your early 40s, you look around at the state of the world and think, ‘Jeez’. There’s something about what he had to say throughout the whole album that really resonated with me. ‘Love From The Other Side’ definitely has this very mature bitterness to it.”

So Much For (Tour) Dust is set to demonstrate the band’s exemplary display of Fall Out Boy’s renowned and unmistakable live performance capability, with multiple shows having sold out.

The last time Taylor Swift toured the UK and Ireland was in 2018 where she performed six shows for her Reputation Tour in locations including London, Manchester, and Dublin.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Taylor had to cancel her sixth concert tour titled Lover Fest to support her seventh studio album Lover released in 2019. Since then, she has release three studio albums titled Folklore (2020), Evermore (2020), and Midnight (2022).

In addition to this, Swift has been re-recording her first six albums in order to reclaim the master recordings after a public battle with her former record label. She has already released two re-recorded albums in 2021 titled Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version). Her upcoming third re-recorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is scheduled for released on July 7, 2023. It is the re-recording of her 2010 album Speak Now with features from Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams.

Tickets for the US leg of her tour last year were highly popular that the Ticketmaster website crashed due to “historically unprecedented demand”. Registration for UK tickets were closed on Thursday, June 22 at 11.59pm (local time) in the UK, and closed on Friday, June 23 at 11.59pm (local time) in Ireland and Europe. Registered fans means they will receive a unique code that will allow them to buy tickets at specified dates and times.

The Kerrang! Awards have remained a staple for any music fan and were founded by the alternative music publication in 1994. Since its formation, the ceremony and its various accolades have become notable recognitions, garnering respect for any act. This year’s annual music show was presented by comedian Ed Gamble and consisted of fourteen award categories, nine of which are voted by a fan poll.

Luke Morton, Kerrang! Editor has given the following statement, “The alternative music scene is more exciting than ever in 2022, and this year’s Kerrang! Awards underlines our commitment to supporting new music and championing the underdogs. I’m so proud to introduce three new categories that strike at the heart of the underground and the alternative community, while also recognising the stadium-conquering legends who have paved the way and make the alt. scene the most inspiring place to be right now. Our world is alive with positive change – get on board.”

The Icon Award presented by Marshall remains one of the ceremony’s most coveted awards, this year the prestigious accolade was awarded to Green Day. The American punk veterans were presented the award for their long and historic career, the East Bay-formed trio have been releasing hits since their formation in 1987. Another esteemed American band were honoured during the ceremony, Fall Out Boy were given the Inspiration Award. Influential rockers Weezer also won big at the awards, the “Buddy Holly” hitmakers were inducted into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame.

This year’s winners consisted of several British acts, Bring Me the Horizon won Best Song for their single “Die4u”. The group are no stranger to the alt-rock music awards, the band have won eight accolades at the Kerrang! Awards, they first won The Best British Newcomer in 2006. The Best British Act award presented by Dead Man’s Fingers Rum was scooped by Biffy Clyro, the Scottish rockers beat out Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Venom Prison, Neck Deep and Loathe to claim the award.

Earlier today, (Sunday, December 19th) Punk/Pop-Punk/Just-Plain-Pop legends released a short video to their socials on them rehearsing in London’s RAK Studios. From this, fans have rallied behind the hopes that new music from the band may be on the way after the, generally agreed on, disappointment that was their 2020 effort; Father Of All Motherfuckers, a project that most fans are happy to move on from.

RAK studio London pic.twitter.com/rlPiTmTe4V

— Green Day (@GreenDay) December 19, 2021

Some fans however have started to stir the pot of hype and come up with their own theories of the meaning behind the clip. At one point in the clip, the number “1972” can be spotted flashing on screen. “1972? 50th birthday special?” commented one fan, referencing the fact that the bands’ 3 core members; Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool were all born in 1972. Possibly alluding to a great big half-century celebration for them all wrapped up neatly in a bunch of old and new Green Day recordings? Who knows?

This wouldn’t make the only moment of reflection for the band in recent months. Only a few weeks ago the band put out The BBC Sessions, a retrospective take on music recorded between 1994 and 2001. In a description taken from the band’s merch store here, they explain, “Green Day would visit the BBC’s Maida Vale studios in London four times and record live sessions for Radio 1’s “evening show” and its popular DJ Steve Lamacq” adding, “this compilation documents those sessions, and includes many of the band’s hits including “when i come around”, “basket case”, “brain stew/jaded” and “minority”.

There has also been a new line of merch released to celebrate the 30th birthday of their sophomore LP Kerplunk. See the store here, although if you’re after anything more exciting than a t-shirt with the old cover on the front, and a reissue of the CD… I wouldn’t bother.

The band are also STILL embarking on their massive “Hella Mega Tour” with pop-punk neighbours Fall Out Boy, and the ever tongue and cheek Weezer.

Hella Mega Tour organisers announced new dates for European and UK Tour. It was supposed to start off in Asia, hit Europe, the UK and the US and finish in Australia and New Zealand. All dates were cancelled last year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

US dates haven’t been changed and they still go ahead for this summer. The UK and EU tour has been pushed to 2022. The statement shared on Twitter says: “Europe + UK – this past year has been chaotic to say the very least, and while we hoped we’d be able to make the Hella Mega Tour a reality for you this summer, COVID had other plans. With that being said, your shows will now be happening in 2022. Your tickets are good for the new dates, so make sure you hold onto them!”.

Australia and New Zealand dates have also been cancelled for this November. An update on social media says: “Australia and New Zealand, we’re beyond bummed to announce that the upcoming Hella Mega dates in November have been cancelled. We kept trying to put this piece of the puzzle together, but unfortunately it’s just not possible due to the uncertainty of the government Covid-19 travel restrictions, mass gatherings and most importantly for the safety of our fans, crew and staff”.

Some fans replied on Twitter with serious concerns regarding US tour going ahead : “I want to see this concert more than anything. I have tickets to multiple shows. But seriously. Just cancel. It’s a mess. Try again in couple years. There is no way you’re getting all these people in a stadium anytime soon”. Others added: “pls consider postponing the us dates too! even being vaccinated i don’t feel safe in a stadium (and i’m sure others feel that way too). i still want to see y’all and not have to get a refund or sell my tickets, but can we pls wait until it’s for sure safe for everyone”.

The first performers have been announced for this August’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, with some marquee names confirmed to be playing across the bank holiday weekend, with many fans giving positive feedback to the early line-up. You can see the full bill below.

Topping the bill are Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Kings of Leon, Wolf Alice, Skepta, and Courteeners. There;s also a spate of new artists who broke through in the last year or so making an appearance, like Post Malone, J Hus, Brockhampton, and Dua Lipa.

“There are very few places that can illustrate the growth of our band from its beginning,” said Fall Out Boy, as they return to headline. “However, Reading and Leeds is one of them. It is an honour to be able to headline a festival that we grew up playing and dreaming of that top spot.”

Kendrick Lamar is also returning to the fabled venues for the first time since 2015, and is wrapping up the UK leg of his DAMN tour this week, having played two raucous dates at London’s O2 Arena, as well as dates in Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow.

“Reading and Leeds prides itself on being a music-first festival and this year’s line-up already proves that,” said Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn in a statement today. “Kings of Leon and Fall Out Boy are bands that have grown with the festival and its fans and we couldn’t be more pleased to invite them back to headline.

“Adding Panic! at the Disco and Kendrick Lamar, probably the most sought-after act in the world right now, we think Reading and Leeds Festivals 2018 are off to an amazing start – with even more to come, so watch this space.”

Reading and Leeds Festivals will take place from August 24-26, at Bramham Park in Leeds, and Little John’s Farm in Reading. Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased here.
