At last night’s BRIT Awards, which featured performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele, Dave, Sam Fender and Little Simz, legendary British singer-songwriter and former Oasis member Liam Gallagher performed his new single “Everything’s Electric” for the first time. The song is taken from his upcoming full-length album C’MON YOU KNOW, which will be released on May 27th. You can listen to the studio version of “Everything’s Electric” here, and you can pre-order C’MON YOU KNOW at this link. See Gallagher’s explosive performance of the song below.

“Everything’s Electric”, which was co-written with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl (who can be heard playing drums on the track), was released on February 4th, and provides quite an introduction to the sound of Gallagher’s upcoming solo album. The song is raucous and energetic, and if the singer’s BRITs performance is anything to go by, it’s a tune that’s absolutely made to blow the roof off of a stadium. It wastes no time introducing itself, commencing with a gritty guitar riff that is then carried on the shoulders of a swaggering drumbeat, making for a very Rolling Stones-esque vibe. Over the top of the buzzing instrumental, Gallagher’s familiar voice soars as he sings; “It’s hard to take it easy, underneath the red sun, everything’s electric”. The song has been largely well-received by both fans and critics, with NME awarding it a glowing five star rating.

C’MON YOU KNOW will be the singer’s third album, following on from 2019’s Why Me? Why Not. And 2017’s As You Were. Physical copies of the album will also be available for pre-order on top of the digital release, including CD, vinyl and cassette tape, in addition to some bundles, which feature a 20-page hardcover book and an art print of the C’MON YOU KNOW cover, which depicts Gallagher surrounded by a crowd of fans.

Later this year, Gallagher will be playing two sold out shows at Knebworth, where Oasis famously performed on the 9th and 10th of August 1996, to around 250,000 people. The singer is slated to perform on June 3rd and 4th, and will be supported by Kasabian, Michael Kiwanuka, Fat White Family and Goat Girl. Gallagher will also be playing some additional UK shows in Manchester, Belfast and Glasgow. You can view the dates down below, and you can find any remaining tickets here.

British music legend Liam Gallagher has announced the impending release of a new single entitled “Everything’s Electric” from his upcoming album C’MON YOU KNOW. The single will be released on February 4th.

Gallagher announced the forthcoming single release today (January 20th) via his Twitter, following a tweet the previous day where he teased a big reveal; “Big announcement tmoz and I mean BIG bigger than my nose bigger than rkids rite said Fred fucking massive so stay tuned LG x”.

New single feb 4th it’s called Everything’s Electric Cmon you know LG x

— Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) January 20, 2022

This is not the only song that Gallagher has announced from his upcoming album, as he has also stated that he will be releasing a tune called “I Wish I Had More Power” dedicated to his brother and former Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher. The two are famously (or infamously) estranged, with Liam Gallagher occasionally taking digs at his brother via Twitter, such as replying “Miserable arse cheer up you billionaire” to a tweet concerning a song from Noel Gallagher’s upcoming record.

Gallagher’s next album C’MON YOU KNOW will be released on May 27th of this year, preceding a run of UK shows in June. The Oasis singer-songwriter has released the artwork for the record, which depicts him amidst a crowd of fans at one of his shows. You can view the artwork down below.

The run of shows in the UK will kick off at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on the 1st of June. Gallagher will also be performing at Hampden Park National Stadium in Glasgow, Ormeau Park in Belfast, and perhaps most importantly, he will be putting on two shows at Knebworth Park in Stevenage, where Oasis famously played in 1996. Gallagher announced that he would be playing at Knebworth back in October of last year, saying in a tweet; “I’m absolutely buzzing to announce that on 4th June 2022 I’ll be playing Knebworth. It’s gonna be biblical. C’mon You Know. LG x”. At Knebworth, Gallagher will be supported by Kasabian, Michael Kiwanuka, Fat White Family and Goat Girl.

The full list of dates for Gallagher’s UK shows can be viewed down below, and tickets can be purchased here. Pre-orders for his upcoming record C’MON YOU KNOW can be found here, including both CD and vinyl copies, as well as a bundle that includes the vinyl and CD editions, as well as a hardcover book and an art print of the album cover.
