The Tour will begin in Helsinki on the 17th of January and ends up in Cardiff in March. Gojira will be joined by Alien Weaponry from New Zealand and UK’s Employed To Serve. See full tour dates below.

The shows will run in support of their latest album “Fortitude“, released in April. The release marks the band’s seventh record and “showcases Gojira’s knack for seamlessly evolving their sound, while staying true to their ferociously heavy sonic aesthetics“. 

The album received lots of praises, with Forbes commented in their review: “You’d be hard pressed to find another metal album that boasts such devastating ‘riffage,’ with an accessibility and production aimed for the masses“.

Kerrang added: “Fortitude sounds like the album that could propel them the rest of the way to the top. They’re no strangers to melodies and hooks, but they’ve never crafted anything quite like this before“. 

“Fortitutes” peaked at No1 in Billboard US Top Hard rock Albums, No1 In Billboard US Top Rock Albums and No12. in Billboard 200. In UK Charts it reached No 6. The album can be streamed and purchased here. 

Two months ago, Gojira shared an official music video for “The Chant”, directed by Russell Brownley. “Filmed on location in India’s West Bengal region in December of 2019, the cinematic video examines the plight of refugee children from Tibet who fled their homeland in an attempt to preserve their culture following China’s invasion of the country in 1949″.
