Tickets for the London show will go on general sale at 10am BST on Friday, October 4, with a pre-sale available on Thursday, October 3. Fans eager to secure their spot at this landmark event are encouraged to act quickly, as tickets are expected to sell out rapidly.

Justice, comprised of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, have been a formidable presence in the electronic music scene since their debut album, † (Cross), was released in 2007. Known for their innovative blend of electro, rock, and disco, the duo has consistently pushed the boundaries of the genre, earning them a dedicated global fan base and critical acclaim.

Their live performances are renowned for their electrifying energy and immersive experience. In a recent interview with NME, de Rosnay emphasized the duo’s commitment to creating engaging live shows. “We want our live shows to be a celebration, a moment where everyone can come together and have a great time. It’s about the energy and the connection with the crowd,” he said.

The announcement of the Alexandra Palace show comes on the heels of Justice’s recent performance at Glastonbury 2024, where they delivered a memorable performance of their Woman Worldwide show set that left fans and critics buzzing.

“The show is made even more impressive by the fact that the show has already evolved considerably from its debut iteration at Coachella in April. How it will develop remains to be seen, but if ‘Woman Worldwide’ was anything to go by, fans will have a pretty extraordinary live album to look forward to further down the line,” Paul Weedon wrote of the Glastonbury set in Rolling Stone.

The duo’s other recent festival appearances, including a standout performance at Field Day at All Points East in London’s Victoria Park, have only heightened anticipation for their upcoming shows.

In addition to their London date, Justice will also perform in Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, and Brussels in December. Tickets for these shows are already on sale, with the exception of their Brussels concert, which will be available from 10am local time on Wednesday, October 2.

Justice’s return to the stage is further highlighted by the release of their first new album in nearly eight years, ‘Hyperdrama,’ which dropped in April through Ed Banger/Because Music. The album has been met with enthusiasm from fans and critics alike, with Exclaim! praising it as “easily their most exciting work since Cross”. This positive reception solidifies Justice’s place at the forefront of the electronic music scene.

The ceremony, which took place yesterday evening February 4th at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, California, saw the trio fight off competition from Aphex Twin’s ‘Blackbox Life Recorder 21F’, James Blake’s ‘Loading‘, Disclosure’s ‘Higher Than Ever Before‘, and Romy, with Fred Again… even competing against himself for their single ‘Strong‘. Cementing his first ever Grammy wins, it was a huge moment for the London-based fusionist, who was also nominated on the night for Best New Artist as a solo producer. Fellow UK musician Flowdan also joined in on the celebration, with it marking not only his first Grammy, but making musical history as the first ever UK MC to win one.

For Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, ‘Actual Life 3‘ was selected amongst a highly talented pool of nominees, including James Blake’s ‘Playing Robots Into Space’, The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Beautiful Feeing‘, Skrillex’s ‘Quest for Fire‘ and ‘Kx5′ by Kaskade and deadmau5 producing under their collaborative project Kx5. Fred Again… was not in attendance to accept either of the awards, but Skrillex and the ceremony’s host Justin Tranter accepted on his behalf.

In Skrillex’s acceptance speech, he said: “The first thing I want to say to anybody young out there who wants to make music or be an artist, the best advice I ever got was ‘success is something that you attract, not something that you try to chase or catch’. The other thing I want to say is for all the young people and everyone out here I know the world is crazy right now, I really hope that we can actually start listening to each other and that everyone on the other side of the aisle or everyone on a different perspective we realize that they’re not enemies and I really hope we can start listening to each other and having conversations.”

“The last thing I want to say is of course big love to Fred again, love to Flowdan. Flowdan’s one of the biggest inspirations in underground music in my life…and to have a Grammy with those guys, my best friends, making music that we just love, not trying to make a hit, not trying to do anything but push culture forward. This is for those guys. Thank you everybody and congratulations to everyone being here.” he added.

Since the news about his wins broke overseas, Fred has posted a simple behind-the-scenes reel on Instagram of himself and Flowdan jamming to a stripped back piano version of ‘Rumble‘. The clip shows the duo smiling and enjoying the collaborative process as the song begins to take shape:

Following a whirlwind 2023 packed with touring and sold-out shows around the globe, Fred Again… is currently set for another exciting, landmark year ahead, including his headline spot at Bonnaroo 2024 in Manchester, Tennessee this June. The announcement came through Hebden’s Instagram story last week where he shared details about the track’s status in the album’s production process, “Loved is the first track on the new album which is coming soon. Just finishing the artwork and making the vinyl and CDs.” He followed the story up with an Instagram post showcasing the album artwork where he stated, “Loved is out now. It’s the opening track from the new album which is coming soon. Artwork by Jason Evans.”

The imminent release of this new album adds yet another compelling chapter to Four Tet’s illustrious discography, standing alongside his 2020 full-length offerings, ‘Parallel’ and ‘Sixteen Oceans,’ and the compelling ‘871,’ released under the pseudonym 00110100 01010100.

Since the release of ‘Parallel’ in 2020, Hebden has continued to intrigue audiences with a series of releases under various aliases, including the cryptic ⣎⡇ꉺლ༽இ•̛)ྀ◞ ༎ຶ ༽ৣৢ؞ৢ؞ؖ ꉺლ, as well as using pseudonyms KH and 00110100 01010100. Four Tet’s artistic diversity stands as a testament to his ability to explore different sonic realms while maintaining an impressive output.

While specific details about the upcoming album, such as the title and release date, are currently undisclosed, it is confirmed to be released under Four Tet’s own label, Text Records and that ‘Loved’ will serve as the opening track.

In addition to his solo endeavours, Four Tet made headlines last year for his collaboration with Skrillex and Fred again.., forming an impromptu dance music supergroup. They delivered memorable performances, including a surprise headline set at Coachella Festival and a sell-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden. In addition to his other musical contributions, Four Tet also joined forces with guitarist William Tyler for the two-song EP ‘Darkness Darkness / No Services,’ under his real name, Kieran Hebden.

The festival joins Take That as the first gigs announced in Home Park’s event calendar next year, with the iconic ’90s boy band performing on June 4, 2024. Earlier this year, the stadium hosted multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning rock band Muse, transforming Home Park into a venue for 26,000 rock fans for the band’s homecoming in Devon.

The tour begins on January 15^th 2024 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, Netherlands before commencing on February 3^rd at the above mentioned Manchester show.

This will be the first time Soulwax have toured in 5 years, following the release of their last album, Essential, an album that was written and recorded in just 2 weeks. It has yet to be mentioned or hinted that another album is on the way alongside the tour.

Formed in 1995, Soulwax have just been given the  ‘Outstanding Contribution To Music’ award at this year’s AIM Awards, in recognition for the influence their discography has had over their 28 year career.

Made up of Stephen Dewaele, David Dewaele, Stefaan Van Leuven, Igor Cavalera and Laima Cavalera; the Dewaele brothers also perform under the name 2manydjs outside of Soulwax and have collaborated with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem.

Soulwax earned a lot of widespread recognition from their 1998 album Much Against Everyone’s Advice, as well as a variety of compilation mixes.

The band are famous for their radio sets, having hosted shows for Triple J in Australia as well as establishing Radio Soulwax, a website hosting 24-hour mixes from the band. They even have a radio station named ‘Soulwax FM’ on video game Grand Theft Auto V.

Amidst the wheeze of idiosyncratic synth leads, gooey bass parps and skittish yet hyper-danceable polyrhythmic drum programming, AFX manages to conjure one of his most delicate melodies to date, at times it even sounds as if RDJ’s synthesised and re-pitched his own voice, embedding himself within the tracks groove as though he were an audible apparition haunting ear drums from beyond the rave. The singles cover artwork (as well as the EP) was created in tandem with frequent AFX collaborator Weirdcore. The digital sleeve depicts what appears to be a mosaic of Menger Sponges festooned with Aphex Twin’s legendary logo.

The release of “Blackbox Life Recorder 21f” came after a slew of opaque online occurrences that were ostensibly orchestrated by the Cornish musician. Earlier this year what began as message board murmurings and group chat rumours of a headline appearance at Field Day Festival 2023 were confirmed when a new website entitled 190823.co.uk popped up online.

Curious Aphex acolytes who clicked the web link were rewarded with a wash of undulating pixels dribbling down their screens before morphing into a digital poster adorning the illustrious Irish ‘IDM’ composers iconic ideogram (7\) confirming him as one of Field Day Festival’s co-headliners alongside fellow British beat-mangler Bonobo. Warp Records divulged further, posting a nine date UK/EU Summer tour poster across their socials.

After a five year musical hiatus spent pursuing a plethora of other projects, including programming a sound design app, teaming up with tech companies to create experimental micro-tonal software synth plugins and even releasing his very own AFX NFT (complete with secret audio info encrypted within) the proceeds of which went towards “planting trees and donating to permaculture projects“, RDJ has been busy boy indeed.

The Blackbox Life Recorder 21f/In a Room7 F760 EP consists of four tracks and will be released on July 28th through Warp Records.

The organisers continued: “This party is a labour of love and to see the beautifully considered curation from each of our stage hosts come to fruition is a delight. Last October, the Field Maneuvers organisers launched a Crownfunder page asking attendees and rave lovers to help save the independent festival after last year’s event failed to break even. Thankful the campaign received huge support from the community and the festival managed to reach its target of £40,000 before its deadline ensuring the future of the festival is safe.

This is What We Do was mixed by sound engineer and long-time Leftfield collaborator Adam Wren, and its cover features artwork by photographer Steve McCurry.  The album marks a new direction for the duo in terms of collaborations, with tracks featuring contributions from spoken word poet Lemn Sissay (My Name Is Why, Something Dark), Earl 16 and Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten.

The new album release has already garnered praise from the likes of Mojo, the Observer, DJ Mag and Uncut, among others, and is currently enjoying a stint as Rough Trade’s Album of the Month.

The duo are scheduled to tour the UK during the spring of next year, with a slew of new dates having been announced.  With their reputation as one of the founding names in UK electronica, not to mention outstanding live performances, the new tour is sure to be one not to miss.  It will kick off with a show at London’s Steelyard venue on May 18th, and from there make the rounds of Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow, among other venues (you can check out full dates and a detailed list of venues and shows at the bottom of this article).

Leftfield, otherwise known as the duo of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, have been staple names on the UK electronic scene since the 1990s, and have released tracks featuring vocal contributions from the likes of Johnny Rotten, Toni Halliday, Djum Djum and Cheshire Cat.  Their style has been described as a fusion of house, dub and reggae.  After a period without recording from 2002 to 2010, Leftfield was revived by Barnes, who went on to produce tracks under the Leftfield name without Paul Daley.

The upcoming tour will include eleven dates and sees Cook perform in eight different cities. The Y’all Are The Music, We’re Just The DJ’s tour’s first stop is scheduled for 2nd March 2023 at Newcastle’s O2 City Hall; Cook will then perform on 3rd and 4th March 2023 at Birmingham’s O2 Academy. The beloved producer will next appear at Edinburgh’s O2 Academy on 9th March 2023; Cook will then treat fans in Manchester to a two-date residency on 10th and 11th March at O2 Victoria Warehouse.

Fatboy Slim is scheduled to return to Brighton on 15th March 2023, a city which holds much importance in his career. On 17th and 18th March 2023, Fatboy Slim will perform at London’s O2 Academy Brixton; the acclaimed DJ will next appear at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on 24th March before concluding the tour on 25th March with a set at the Bournemouth International Centre.

Before next year’s tour, fans of the trail-blazing DJ will be able to see him live at All Back To Minehead this winter. Scheduled to take place between 18th-21st November 2022, the three-day festival is the brainchild of Cook and will take place at the holiday resort Butlins located in Sommerset town Minehead. Earlier this year, details concerning the event were given; Fatboy Slim issued the following statement via his official website, “This November I’m going to create a 3 day festival at Butlins in Minehead. I went over there recently to see what it was like…I felt like a kid in a sweet shop, the scale and possibilities for the fun we can have on this Weekender are endless. Watch this video of my visit to see what I mean.“

The statement continued, “The resort has everything you could need…music venues, shops, restaurants, rides and even a massive pool complex. I’m already talking to some of my favourite DJ’s, artists and party crews about playing and hosting rooms… more news on that as we get it!“

This May, Cook took again to his website to announce the lineup for the upcoming event billed as 3 Days of Love, Dancing and Laughter. Also announced to perform alongside the King of the decks include a DJ set by Groove Armada, Idris Elba, Ben Hemsley, Dance System, Flava D, Horse Meat Disco, Jodie Harsh, Mighty Dub Katz, Raw Silk, Sasha B, Southern Fried Records All Stars and Woody Cook.

The single’s current high placement within the charts means that “Afraid To Feel” has secured LF System chart success; the track’s chart reign marks the second longest run thus far in 2022. The track overtook “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” to obtain the second place. The beloved musical number was released from the popular Disney film Encanto; the track spent seven consecutive weeks at the top of the UK singles chart. The current record of the longest-running number-one of all history belongs to Frankie Laine; the crooner’s track “I Believe” was released in 1953 and has spent 18 weeks as the UK’s number one single.

Due to LF System’s recent chart win, “Afraid To Feel” has been named the longest-running number-one dance single of the decade so far. With over 4.6 million streams accumulated this week, the single has also been named UK’s most streamed track. The Scottish-formed duo dropped the chart-topping track on 2nd May 2022 via Warner Music UK. Upon its initial release, the track cracked the UK top 20 and soon began to jump multiple chart spaces, “Afraid To Feel” was confirmed as the UK’s number single at the start of July.

“Afraid To Feel” first gained popularity via the social media app TikTok where it has been used as a sound in countless videos and posts. The track has become a favourite this summer due to its breezy appeal and catchy melodies. Along with an amended pace in the vocals, the hugely popular single also utilises a heavy sample of the Silk 1979 track “I Can’t Stop (Turning You On“.

Elsewhere within this week’s U.K. singles chart, Elza Rose and Interplanetary collaboration “B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)” has remained at number two. Placing at number three this week is “Green Green Grass” by George Ezra, its peak position after spending 18 weeks on the charts. The track was released on 22nd April 2022 by the British singer-songwriter and is the second single to be taken from Ezra’s third studio album Gold Rush Kid. At number four is “Break My Soul” by Beyonce; this week sees the single drop one position after placing at three last week. Charting at number five is “I Ain’t Worried” by OneRepublic; this week, the theme from Top Gun: Maverick crack into the top 5 for the first time since its release.

Also included within this week’s top 10 is “My G”, the new collaboration between English rapper Aitch and Ed Sheeran. The new song debuted on the singles chart this week and is the third single to be released from Aitch’s debut studio album Close To Home. The track makes its first entry at number 6, marking Aitch’s eighth track to crack the top 10 and Sheeran’s 39th top 10 charting single.
