Pale Waves today announce details of their debut album, and UK and Ireland tour dates, ‘My Mind Makes Noises’, set to be a released on Friday the 14th of September.

The band have also announced a string of UK and Ireland shows, and are set to kick off their 14 date tour in Glasgow on the 21st of September and concluding in Dublin on the 8th of October. Tickets can be purchased here.

Accompanying the news of the groups debut album, the Manchester quartet have unveiled a new song, ‘Eighteen’. Singles, which will feature on the album are ‘There’s A Honey’, ‘Television Romance’ and ‘Kiss’.

The indie-pop group’s recent single ‘Noises’ addressed issues of body insecurity and mental health with the lyrics “my mind makes noises too much, I feel like I’m slowly losing myself, I’m afraid that I need help” and “Why do I stare so much at my body? I’m falling, I’m crawling on the floor at night. I know it’s not right, but you can’t fix me this time.”

“A lot of people have only heard our pop songs, so I can’t wait to give them the other side of Pale Waves, which is super dark and vulnerable. We’re growing so fast, I just want to keep that energy. I want to see us grow a lot more. I want more faces at the shows, I just want more of everything,” says Heather Baron-Gracie.

In February 2018, the band released their acclaimed debut EP, ‘All The Things I Never Said’, following a series of songs which branded them as one of the most promising new bands in the country.

When asked by NME, if the album would be similar to their previous material, Barron-Gracie, said: “You know, they’re pretty similar but the album is more of like a ‘Pale Waves world’. So, will have those sort of sad songs, but you will also have those banging singles.”

Originating from Manchester, the band formed in 2014, and was originally known as ‘Creek’, when lead singer and guitarist Heather Baron-Gracie met drummer Ciara Doran at university. Completing the quartet is, guitarist Hugo Silvani and bassist Charlie Wood.

After the success of their debut single ‘There’s A Honey’, followed by ‘Television Romance’, the band were ranked fifth in the BBC Sound of 2018 poll and won the NME Under the Radar Award at the NME Awards.
