English indie favourites Peace have announced their first headline UK tour since the group’s changing of its lineup.

The band have transitioned from a four piece group into a duo following the departure of guitarist Douglas Castle and drummer Dominic Boyce, leaving the group to be comprised solely of brothers Harrison and Samuel Koisser.

The tour is set to take place at the start of November, with the first show being at Komedia in Bath on the 3rd and the last at Heaven in London on the 14th, and will see Peace visit nine different venues in total, including the Town Hall in Birmingham, Oran Mor in Glasgow and the New Century Hall in Manchester.

The news follows last month’s announcing of the group’s return to music following a five year hiatus with a couple of comeback shows later next week, at the Mill in Birmingham on May 31st and at the Colour Factory in London on June 1st, with another show at the Louisiana in Bristol on May 29th being added due to extremely popular demand.

The announcing of these shows was then followed by the surprise digital release, on the band’s website, of their fourth album, Utopia, on April 8th. The album is available to those who purchase merch and tickets and receive a password, allowing them access to the website where their new music is located. The album itself has been met with favourable reviews from those fans who have enjoyed it thus far and is set to be officially released later this year. Listen to the new album here.

Peace were formed in Worcester in 2012 and released their debut album, In Love, in March 2013 on Columbia Records to widespread critical acclaim, with the album reaching number 16 on the UK Albums Chart. Their subsequent release came in February 2015, with the Britpop inspired Happy People achieving a chart high of 12.

Listen to “Wraith“, the lead single from Peace’s first album In Love, below:

Their third album, Kindness Is the New Rock and Roll, was released in May 2018 following a switch to Ignition Records and was too met with favourable reviews. Their latest release and the subsequent live shows, according to an instagram post by the band, marks the “entering of a new era in an extremely meaningful way“, surely whetting the appetites of Peace fans in the UK and beyond.

Depeche Mode have released eight remixes of their track “Ghosts Again” from their 15th studio album, Memento Mori.

The Ghosts Again (Remixes) collection includes remixes from Luke Slater, Matthew Herbert and Chris Liebling, amongst others.

Memento Mori is the first album Depeche Mode have released since the tragic passing of their bandmate, Andy Fletcher in 2022. Following the loss of their friend, founding member and synth player, frontman Dave Gahan and guitarist/keyboardist Martin Gore have channeled the emotions of such an event into a powerful and reflective album.

“Ghosts Again” focuses on themes of partings and loss, with the remixes offering different interpretations of the moving track.

Amongst the remixes is a strings-only version of the track, contributed by Davide Rossi. Rossi also recorded strings for the Memento Mori album, and said, “I wanted to do this [remix] as a tribute to my love for the band. I am so thrilled that they decided to keep it and release it.”

Chris Liebling, who teamed up with Luke Slater for another remix of “Ghosts Again” commented, “I have been a big fan of Depeche Mode for so many years. They have influenced the way that I think about music and DJ. I’m extremely grateful that I could not only do another remix, but that I also got to do it with one of the biggest legends in techno world [Luke Slater].”

Luke Slater shared his thoughts on collaborating with Depeche Mode too, saying, “When I was a kid I was buying Depeche Mode 7-inches, the early ones. I remember that well…What I love about Depeche Mode is that over the years they have just formed a world of themselves…They’ve kind of covered this timeless zone and I think that’s really special.”

Slater’s comment on Depeche Mode’s own world being formed became even more true following the passing of Andy Fletcher, with Dave Gahan and Martin Gore needing to re-establish their relationship to one another and their work dynamic as a duo.

Gahan shared, “Martin described it as two long-lost brothers meeting for the first time and having to have a real conversation. It was about getting to know each other in a different way. Not that we don’t know each other well, but in terms of having a close friendship? That’s never really been the deal between Martin and I.”

Gore explained, “Me and Dave never had any big issues or problems with each other, but we tended to be kind of distant. With there only being two of us left, that has led us to be closer and to talk more.”

These themes are very evident in this track, with collaborator Matthew Herbert saying, “I quite liked the idea of ‘We’ll be ghosts again’…everyone vanished from the dancefloor. The idea of the temporary community that’s being built.”

The track listing for Ghosts Again (Remixes) is below:

1. Ghosts Again Massano Remix
2. ‘Ghosts Again Chris Liebing vs Luke Slater Remix
3. ‘Ghosts Again Miss Grit Remix
4. ‘Ghosts Again Rival Consoles Remix
5. ‘Ghosts Again Matthew Herbert’s Feelings Remix
6. ‘Ghosts Again Davide Rossi Strings Remix

Vague Detail is a brand-new collaborative project for 2021 comprised of a singer Kaleem Taylor and producer The Code. Coming off his third extended play ‘She Knows’ in 2020, Kaleem Taylor, hailing from Hertfordshire, is a rising star in R&B music with a knack for blending electronic styles with traditional vocal runs. His smooth voice pairs effortlessly with the fitting production of The Code, an enigmatic producer who has been active since 2013.

With the registering of the alias, Vague Detail mean business. Their latest single released under the name is titled ‘How Does It Feel’ featuring vocalist/songwriter Anuka, a moody ballad reminiscent of trap-soul showcasing Kaleem’s vocal ability once more. The track along with the already released ‘Broken (Intro)’ is part of an upcoming extended play. The self-titled venture has been described on the duo’s Spotify bio as “a captivating 5-track experience” and “a sincere dive into the anxiety that accompanies feeling unprepared for life’s twists and turns, and the subsequent impact on the surrounding parties”.

With an expected summer release, ‘Vague Detail’ is set to bring a sophisticated take on R&B music, featuring many elements of the duo’s solo works, combining the romantic vocals of Kaleem with the crisp production style of The Code. As well as the release of How Does It Feel on streaming services, Kaleem took to Instagram live last night to give fans a live rendition of the track. Whilst we wait for the inevitable release of the full project, listen to the newest track from the duo below. You can also keep track with the group’s activity on their Instagram or Twitter pages where they will be announcing the release date for this highly anticipated EP any day now.

They began their set with a few endearing attempts to speak French, and declared that they themselves have always been fans of the French platform. La Blogothèque, operational since 2009, have been broadcasting a series of Stay Away shows since mid March and has seen performances by several British musicians such Mellah and Whitney.

HONNE opened with no song without you, a love song from their July 2020 album of the same name. The smooth vocals of Andy Clutterback shone through without any distractions, as the live version did not have the percussive drum beat and synth instrumental present on the album.

Honne is a Japanese concept referring to a person’s true feelings and desires. The duo chose the word because they fell in love with its meaning and felt it ‘described exactly what [they] were writing about at that time’.

It is true that HONNE’s sophomore album, Warm on a Cold Night, was deeply personal. A compilation of love songs with the cringe factor of Michael Bubble and Maroon 5, but with the added layer of digital production finesse to make it more interesting.

Earnest boy-band love songs have fallen out of fashion lately, but HONNE has manage to make them cool again. In the words of the Telegraph, their creations are ‘futuristic soul destined t0 re-invent baby-making music’.

The song Warm on a Cold Night is one of the band’s most popular, so it’s unsurprising that they played it as the penultimate number for their Stay Away show. The tight percussion and dreamy synths were missing, giving the song a purity absent on the album version.

Unfortunately we didn’t get the smooth radio presenter telling us at the start of the track ‘Okay, it’s 3:17 AM. You’re tuned in with your main man Tommy Inglethorpe// This next song’s gonna keep you warm on a cold, cold night’, a comical indication that the band are fully aware of the song’s cheesiness.

For the most part, the set consisted of tracks from the band’s latest album no song without you. All were performed with stripped-back production and only two instruments – three, if you count Clutterbuck’s smooth vocals! The result was a soulful and intimate set, in keeping with the band’s name once again.
