<p><strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a lengthy statement posted onto her Twitter last Friday</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the British rapper opened up about her recent difficulties as she completed her latest project whilst at home alone. Earlier in the week Simz (real name Simbiatu Ajikawo) had seemed in good spirits, </span><a title="Little Simz Teases New EP" href="http://www.mxdwn.co.uk/news/little-simz-teases-new-ep/" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: 400;">teasing the release of her new EP</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> through a series of playful tweets and a video of her going over some verses whilst driving.</span></strong></p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Anyone care for a little EP from your girl?</p>
<p>&mdash; Little Simz (@LittleSimz) <a href="https://twitter.com/LittleSimz/status/1252355514224136194?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 20, 2020</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But her most recent statement arrived as a strong contrast to her previous social media presence. “</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">This time in isolation has impacted my mental health and has brought to light how much I suppress things</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">”, it reads. Simz told fans she had begun work on a new EP in early April with the aim of finishing the project by the end of the month. By mid-April, Simz was plagued with a lack of motivation and self-doubt, though after reconnecting with her love of photography to stave off a period of depressive thoughts, she was finally able to complete the EP.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">From the statement’s header, the EP will likely be titled ‘</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drop 6</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">’, making it the sixth installment of the ‘</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drop</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">’ EPs Simz has released on the Age 101 label. No new material has been released from ‘</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drop 6</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">’ as of yet, though you can watch Simz debuting a couple new verses in the video below:</span></p>
