Dom Harrison, also known professionally as Yungblud, starred in an episode of Virgin Radio France to promote his latest album ‘Weird!’, which was released on the 4th of December 2020. With a musician on an acoustic guitar, Yungblud performed a stripped down version of Rodrigo‘s ‘Drivers License’. Watch the performance down below:

Rodrigo’s ‘Drivers License’, which was released on the 8th of January, still remains at Number One both, in the UK as well as the US singles charts. The track has also been covered by jxdn and Travis Barker. Speaking of the success of the song ‘Drivers License’ and its endorsement by Taylor Swift, Rodrigo said, “It’s been such a crazy rollercoaster ride and I’m definitely excited to have artist friends that know the ins and outs of the music industry.”

Yungblud also performed stripped down versions of ‘Cotton Candy’ and ‘Mars’ from his latest album ‘Weird!’ on which he played the guitar himself. Watch the performances below:

Yungblud’s live performance comes after the release of his album ‘Weird!’, which he said was about the “weirdest years of our lives”. In an interview with PEOPLE, Yungblud said of ‘Weird!’, “It’s an album about gender and sexuality and drugs and love and heartbreak and depression and anxiety. And is there a way out? Yeah, there f—ing is, and it can get better no matter how dark it may get. I know that firsthand.”
