Speaking to Metro UK, Capaldi quipped about taking a cut of the royalties from Eilish’s song. The ‘Before You Go’ vocalist said: “She’s probably going to make a lot of money from it so I’d love to take a cut of that,” Lewis said.

He added: “All jokes aside, I think in general I always say that the Bond theme is something that I think anybody would jump at the chance of, (or) at least try.”

The Glaswegian singer and comedian offered to put his name into the hat for the next Bond theme. However, he joked that it’d be on the basis he wasn’t “completely irrelevant” by that point.

Elsewhere, Lewis Capaldi is set to support headlining act Tyler The Creator at Manchester’s Parklife 2020, the UK’s largest metropolitan festival.

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Eilish discussed a meeting with Barbara Broccoli about No Time To Die. Eilish hinted that the film’s premise was “fucking fire”. Furthermore, during the interview, Eilish said: “We got a piece of the script, the first scene, and then we wrote the song immediately… we wrote it in three days.”

Billie added: “We wrote it in Texas, and we recorded it in a bunk on the bus in a basement in the dark.”

Billie also discussed the creative process behind the song. The ‘Bury A Friend’ vocalist said ‘No Time To Die’ “went through a lot of different versions”. However, she affirmed that “it was a really good collaborative experience [with No Time to Die composer Hans Zimmer].”
