“Let me go to work,” says pop icon Harry Styles in the trailer for his upcoming concert film, One Night In Manchester. The short, 30-second trailer, below, shows clips of Styles and collaborators rehearsing backed by his single, ‘Aperture.’

The film will capture the singer’s One Night Only show, where he will perform the entirety of his latest album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’ The show takes place tonight, Friday 6 March at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena. The concert film will be available to stream on Netflix Sunday 8 March.

Tonight’s show will be Styles’ first full concert in almost three years. The trailer shows the flurry of activity in preparation for the concert, while the pulsing beats of ‘Aperture’ and intercut archived crowd shows build anticipation for what is to come.

No one is more eager for Styles’ live return than his fans. Since as early as Thursday 5 March, fans have been camping outside the Co-op Live in Manchester, in hopes of snagging the best spot for Friday’s concert. These fans have come from all over the world, one fan from Florida told ITV, “I took three flights to get here – it took 30 hours – but it is the best. His music saved my life and the community he created is the best.” Another fan said, “We have been waiting for three years and I’m so excited he is back. I have been a fan since I was 12.”

Tickets for the concert were just £20 and fans will be required to lock their phones away for the event. They will be given recyclable pouches to store their phones in for the duration of the event, and any other recording devices such as cameras, smart watches and smart glasses will not be permitted. If the professionally-shot Netflix concert film was not enough compensation for this, disposable cameras will be issued to ticket holders so they may “capture your own special moments and share them after the show.”

Additionally, Styles announced screenings of One Night In Manchester in six UK cities: London, Brighton, Edinburgh, Chester, York and Liverpool. Fans must register for a chance to attend these screenings, and can do so at this link. More details of these screenings can be found compiled here.

Later this year Styles will set off on a live tour, called Together, Together. The tour will see him play residences in a series of cities, worldwide. He will spend a record-breaking 12 nights at London’s Wembley Stadium (breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record with her 8 nights at Wembley stadium in 2024). He’ll spend a staggering 30 nights at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Those shows saw over 11.5 million pre-sale registrations. Other stops on the Together, Together tour include Amsterdam, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne and Sydney.

All of this comes in support for Styles’ fourth album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’ which has received four star reviews from Rolling Stone, The Independent and NME. Clash calls it “an ode to the redemptive power of the dance, to the euphoria only club culture can provide.” Critics also say the electronic, pop-leaning sound “[moves] him in a fresh direction” while the album’s through line is described as “a successful embrace of personal, and above all sensual, evolution.”

One Night in Manchester, produced by Fulwell Entertainment, will come to Netflix this Sunday, March 8. Invitations for the six UK screenings will be given on Saturday 7 March.

‘Twenty one Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined’ will screen in theatres worldwide on February 26. Its set to be a full-length concert recording of the bands mammoth Mexico City headline show from their Clancy World Tour. This show in particular was notoriously insane, held at the Estadio GNP Seguros which has a sold-out capacity of approximately 65,000 people, the bands biggest headline show to date.

The film is set to follow the band from the moment they touch down in the city right up until the breathtaking experience of them stepping on stage in front of over 60,000 excited fans. The recording is set to feature moments of realness from backstage, exclusive tid bits and behind the scenes knowledge on how they gear up for their high energy performances.

If anyone has been to a Twenty One Pilots show, fan or not you are well aware of the level of production and craftsmanship that goes into the band’s concerts. Playing drums on a platform held by fans, trustfully walking through the dedicated audience, crowd participation and dozens of call and return moments, this band is something special.

Not only have fans speculated a concert film, but they have also eagerly been waiting for the recorded concert album ever since the three Columbus shows on the US leg of their tour were known to be recorded. Before the shows an image popped up on the big screens either side of the stage reading, ‘This show will be recorded for a live album, we have placed 40 crowd mics all around this place, so give us everything you’ve got?’ Due to the long wait time people started speculating whether the band had actually forgotten about the existence of these suspected lives album recordings, but low and behold they always have something up their sleeve. We can only pray that the Columbus live album is just around the corner.

The Clancy World Tour was the ninth tour by the American music duo, the tour began on August 15th and was a celebration of the band’s album, ‘Clancy’. The tour was separated into two legs the original Clancy tour then the Breach segment which featured new songs from the band’s latest album release, ‘Breach’. The first part of the Clancy tour consisted of 73 worldwide shows and the second leg had 23 shows. A staggering amount of hard work was put in to make each indivudal show exceptional, the tours duration stretched from August 15 2024 all the way to October 26, 2025.

This isn’t the bands first rodeo on the big screen, back in 2022 the boys released ‘Concert Experience’ which marked the first anniversary of their album, ‘Scaled and Icy’ The film was screened in over 1500 theatres across 60 counties.

The band has undoubtedly one of the most dedicated fandoms out there and it’s no doubt they are getting ready to suit up and take their seats to enjoy the phenomenal Clancy tour all over again. We simply cant wait to see what’s in store.

In the lead up to the Talking Heads’ 1984 tour that followed their fifth studio album, Speaking Tongues, released in 1983, David Byrne and Co enlisted the directorial help of Jonathon Demme to create a concert film. Directed by the man who went on to make the 1991 classic Silence of the Lambs, Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense went on to win the National Society of Film Critics’ (NSFC) award for best non-fiction film. Founded in 1966, the NSFC is known in the film industry as one of the ‘big four’, making the 1984 award among the most prestigious of the year.

In March of 2023, film studio A24, known for the production of critically acclaimed films like Ari Aster’s Misommar, Daniel Kwan’s and Daniel Scheinert’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight, acquired the distribution rights for Stop Making Sense. In September of 2023, the film was restored and re-released in public cinemas across the world. Alongside the film, a remastered track list from the feature was released both online and on physical formats. Financially, A24’s distribution deal was wildly successful. According to Variety, the re-release drew $5m (£3.9m) in sales, a figure that, admittedly by a small margin, outstripped the film’s original run in 1984. The film was not only successful at the box office, but it was also a hit with audiences, with viral footage from 2023 showing audiences leaping out of their seats to dance along to the 16-track setlist.

Given the popularity of the re-release, and the film’s 40th anniversary landing on this year, Stop Making Sense will return to cinemas once again. Seeing limited release across the US, Canada, and UK, cinemagoers will be able to catch the show starting January 27. Tickets are currently available, but make sure to grab them fast, as there are only six screenings currently scheduled in the United Kingdom, five of which are at the Prince Charles Cinema in London.

As well as the film’s re-re-release, A24 has announced that they will sell a collection of limited-edition merchandise. The September 2023 release saw a range of clothing and a DVD/BluRay edition being sold. This year’s showing will bring with it a Zine, as well as a pre-sale for another round of home releases on January 27th.

Whether you are a long-standing Talking Heads fan or you were born over a decade after the band’s final studio album, Stop Making Sense proves the enduring appeal of David Byrne’s enigmatic band.

London’s King Charles Cinema will be hosting Stop Making Sense on the 27th of January, the 24th of February, the 30th of March, the 27th of April, and the 25th of May. Additionally, the Warwick University’s Student Cinema will feature the film on the 22nd of February.
