BENEE spoke to the NZ Herald about the collaborations saying; “Oh my goodness, I still don’t quite believe that they’re all going to be on it, because I’m such a huge fan of all of their work.” She said she reached out to artists who she was inspired by, with verses she had written and would see what the artists could bring to the song themselves to make it even better.

This will be Lily Allen’s first track since her 2018 album No Shame which peaked at number eight in the UK charts. The album followed the breakdown of Lily’s marriage to Sam Cooper and the identity crisis she felt afterwards that impacted her music. She began working on new music which saw her writing about things that she had been affected by including the relationship with herself, her children, her ex-husband and substance abuse.

In recent news for Lily Allen, she announced her wedding with actor David Harbour last month. The couple got married in Las Vegas in an intimate ceremony with an Elvis impersonator. Lily shared pictures from the wedding which went viral as fan were delighted to see the couple happy.

Says label Downwards, from who the album will be released “The LP is abundant with melody and variation whilst still retaining the physical power and presence.” It follows from an audio-visual collaboration released in 2016 titled “The Mysterious Other” and will be released on May 3rd.

Kerridge is a distinct figure in the noise scene with his signature sonic sounds. His music is to appreciated purely looked at from an individual perspective, as he is an individualist artist.

He generally finds meaning in things that would otherwise be considered illegible, stripping down any kind of meaning to a raw kind of energy. His music is powerful and deconstructs expectations. Whether live or on record the listener is subjected to an ethereal experience. Always evolving, always pushing boundaries.

Burch formed DVA Dama’s with Joe Cocherell. Starting out as her solo project, Chocherell joined in its infancy and the start of a unique musical relationship was born. Their minimal post punk with Spaghetti western twang was soon noticed by Juan Mendez, a collaborator of Karl O’Connor’s who owns DVA’s label Downwards America. He was at their debut live show and offered to put out their first release as part of the labels DO series.

Their debut single was released in 2010 featuring three tracks. In 2011 they released a split with Le Face on Psychic Handshake Recordings. Their debut was released in 2013 for which they toured Europe and America.
