Taking to social media as most artists do, Cunningham shared his announcement when ‘Pieces’ came out, shyly asking followers “please give it a listen if you get a moment”. He also made sure to mention his collaborators including producer Hudson Scott.

With lead single ‘All This’ released first in February 2020, ‘Climb‘ and ‘Glass‘ followed over the next few weeks, each gaining over 500,000 streams on Spotify. Co-written and performed by Sophie Jamieson, ‘Climb’ is an emotional song about facing difficult times; a perfect theme to share with their audiences at the moment. The title song ‘Pieces‘, only released on 15th May, has already gained 84,000 streams and offers a melancholy message of hope.

Cunningham’s EP comes soon after his sophomore album, ‘Permanent Way’, which was released in 2019. The singer is known for sharing singles and EPs in between albums with record label BMG. While in the midst of his tour earlier this year, Cunningham was forced to postpone multiple dates in Europe due to the outbreak of Covid-19. New dates have now been released and can be found at the end of this post as well as on the artist’s website. In a message to ticket-holders, he explained that tickets will still be valid, but if required, refunds can be obtained from the point of purchase.

Charlie Cunningham has released two studio albums as a singer, songwriter, and musician. His debut album ‘Lines’ won Album of the Year at the Pop Awards in 2018, and reached millions of streams. His collaborator Sophie Jamieson is a fellow songwriter and performer, releasing numerous singles and EPs of her own since 2013.
