The band discussed their upcoming album in an interview for Classic Rock Magazine, saying:“House Of Noise is absolutely our best songwriting yet. It feels like 10 years in the making and through being signed with Earache we were able to record it at a dream studio with one of the best engineers, Mr Chris Clancy and for us possibly the best producer in the biz, Mr Collin Richardson.”

The Northern Irish country singer, Catherine McGrath released her spectacular debut album, ‘Talk Of The Town’, on the 27th of July and has announced dates for her UK tour.

McGrath, 21, released her debut album via Warner Bros. Records and is set to hit the road this September in a slew of UK tour dates.

The tour, which is an accompaniment of McGrath’s debut album, kicks off on Friday the 14th of September in Portsmouth and concludes on Wednesday the 26th in Glasgow. Tickets can be purchased here.

‘Talk of the Town’ was recorded in Nashville and London with producers and co-writers, who have worked with the likes of Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, and Hunter Hayes.

The album is a 13-track statement, and as with any of the great country music albums, includes themes of heartache, love, missed chances, and self-acceptance. The widely anticipated album also includes the hit ‘Don’t Let Me Forget’ which features Hunter Hayes.

Speaking to Music Week in her January 2018 cover feature, McGrath said: “I think my music is a blend of country and pop. But country music is so much about storytelling and lyrics and I think the pop comes through in the production. That’s why I fell in love with country music, because of the lyrics and everything felt so real. I hope other people can see that as well.”

McGrath who was raised in Rostrevor- a small village in Northern Ireland, comes from a music loving family and regularly performed at her parents’ Fiddler’s Greenfestivaland. However, is was only when she departed from Northern Ireland for London, that McGrath promptly made a name for herself and established her own songwriting style.

Elton John, who discovered McGrath while researching new artists for his Beats1 Rocket Hour show, said: “Catherine is one of those rare talents that seemingly appear from nowhere and from the very first moment you hear her, you just know this is the start of something absolutely huge. Her voice and the quality of her songwriting are undeniable, and I’ve absolutely no doubt that she’s going be at the very forefront of artists pushing country music more and more into the UK mainstream in the coming years.”

Recently, she’s been playing huge gigs such as British Summer Time Festival and BBC’s Biggest Weekender. McGrath has also signed a record deal with Warner Bros. and has gained the attention of prominent radio DJs and music.

McGrath’s debut album marks a milestone in her career and cements her as one of one of Ireland’s most talented singer-songwriters. She is a perfect example of how country can eclipse its reach from far outside its birthplace in Nashville.
