The director Aiden Zamiri reunited with FKA Twigs once again for the shoot, having worked on her previous works such as “Papi Bones” ft Shygirl, “Meta Angel”, “Oh My Love” and “Jealousy” ft Rema.

In discussion with Rolling Stone, Twigs detailed her dedication to the craft of performance for her video work, saying; “Yolo, like with me it’s just anything to get the shot. Working with Aiden Zamiri has been incredible, he’s a genius. ‘Honda’ for me is like a perfect definition of a caprivid because it’s super short and cheeky and it leaves you wanting more.”

She went on to say; “For me, making these shorts or caprivids is like a hole punch of your favorite scenes from a music video, nothing more nothing less. It’s like sorbet, you know like when you just keep on wanting more and more, I love the fact that people are like upset with how short they are because that’s the whole point.”.

Recently, Twigs was dubbed a “Godlike Genius” at the Bandlab NME Awards 2022 which was held at Brixton Academy.  In a statement made via Twitter, Twigs shared her joy for receiving the coveted prize, stating; “To see my name amongst the iconic likes of The Clash, The Cure and Blondie is unreal! I am so proud to be the first Black female artist to have been honoured, still baby-faced, and inspired as hell. Here’s to the next decade of making art and music. Thank you to the heavens and back to everyone who has helped me make my dreams come true”

Recently, FKA Twigs also showed her prowess behind the lens having directed a short film titled; “Playscape” for the 2022 International Woolmark Prize Celebrations. Featuring the songs “He Hu” by Duval Timothy and Rosie Lowe and the classic X-Ray Spex tune “Identity”. The video saw elaborate choreography amongst the bizarre sculptures of Isamu Noguchi at the Noguchi Foundation Museum in New York City.

The 17 song mixtape features 9 artists including FKA, with global influences and sounds. The 7 tracks featuring artists are “Honda” featuring Coventry rapper Pa Salieu, Tears in the club featuring Canadian superstar The Weekend, “Papi Bones” featuring UK rapper, DJ and songwriter Shy girl, “Which Way” featuring Dystopia an all-female 3 piece band from East London, ”Jealousy” featuring Nigerian alte-artist Rema, “Careless” with Canadian RnB singer Daniel Ceaser, and “Darjeeling” feature the most interesting features Unknown T and Jorja Smith.

FKA Twigs will also have 10 tracks on the project that hse will feature on alone. Fka Twigs is an interesting artist who mixes sounds and genres, as well as being a singer she is also a dancer, producer, songwriter and actress. FKAs features on her new project don’t line out exactly how the project will sound as if she has a mix of sounds from all different pockets of the globe. Her track alongside Te Weekend titled “Tears in the club” has already been released and currently sit on just over 12 million Spotify streams. The last project from fka came in 2019 in the shape of an album titled Magdalene, the singles she has released in 2021 included the track alongside The weekend and two other singles featuring UK drill rappers Central cee for their track for the Kingsman tracklist and “Don’t judge me” featuring Headie One.
