The project titled Bruce has cover art that sees Joe James as a child alongside his mother with Batman stick-on tattoos on his chest and stomach.

The artist and model, who has done successful campaigns for brands such as Stone Island, is one of the hidden secrets of the UK rap scene, with a cult following giving him just under fifteen-thousand instagram followers. His immaculate flow, delivery and beat selection make him one of the most talented rappers the UK has to offer. In the caption, Joe James posted the cover art for the new project and shared that there will be another project on the way in a couple of weeks, with the nine tracks only being a warm-up.

The rapper’s two previous projects Crovid-19 Freestyles and Joetry dropped in 2021 and 2020, and similarly to his recent project Bruce had short track lists, with nine tracks on Joetry and six on Crovid- 19 Freestyle.

The three features on the Joe James project are GAV, kb and bxksintokyo, three fairly unknown artists. Based on Joe James’ work pattern and lyrics, the features seem to be friends of Joe James and people from his area. Joe tends to work on his own, and his music features across the last five years have always been with friends of the rappers such as GAV,SAZ and Kwollem, the latter being a producer who released a project where Joe James features on five of the eight tracks.
