The R&B/soul boy band – Kaci Brookz, Zeekay Kabasomi, Josh Lomat and Eshan – have established themselves as one of the UK’s most refreshing acts, bringing back a classic vocal vibe that contemporary music listeners haven’t heard since the 90s. The announcement marks No Guidnce’s second EP, the follow-up to to 2023’s ‘Is It A Crime?’, and their first record since the departure of founding member Ebubé Chiana. No Guidnce shared their return to music in an Instagram post August 5, revealing Ebubé’s replacement to be emerging R&B vocalist Eshan. 

Forming as a four-piece in 2021, No Guidnce have been on a mission to redefine boy bands in a post-X Factor world. Founding members Kabasomi and Brookz met on the set of Little Mix’s reality TV show The Search in 2020 before being approached by industry executives for the formation of a new boy band. Lomat and Chiana were later recruited, and thanks to a loyal TikTok fanbase where the group would showcase their vocal talent, No Guidnce rose to prominence through online hype in 2022. The band have gone onto enjoy the successes of the immense popularity of their single ‘Is It A Crime?’ (2023) from their first EP, with over 20 million Spotify streams to date.

The anticipation surrounding the upcoming EP is heightened by the release of ‘Different Ways’ on January 24, their first single of 2025, expected to appear on ‘Confessions Of A Loverboy’. Produced by Grammy-nominated beat maker Bernard ‘Harv’ Harvey, this heartfelt pop-infused track highlights a more tender and vulnerable side of No Guidnce, giving fans a taste of what’s to come in the EP. Speaking of the track, the group issued a joint statement: “This record marks a lot of firsts for us – it s our first ballad that we’ve successfully written together…We love singing this song as it gives us an opportunity to really showcase our raw voices in a new way, not heard on anything we’ve dropped before. This one feels really special to us and we hope that people connect with it like we do!” As of recent, the London-based R&B quartet have made an appearance on Apple Music’s The Rebecca Judd Show for the No Guidnce Loverboy Special February 13 to discuss the upcoming EP. The group also recently performed on DJ AG’s pop-up set in SoHo, London, surprising listeners with a live rendition of single ‘Is it A Crime?’. This latest promotion reminds fans of the soulful energy that No Guidnce bring to the table, creating great excitement for the soon-to-be released ‘Confessions Of A Loverboy’.

‘Confessions Of A Loverboy’ is available for pre-order now. 

Attempting hip hop for the first time, Williams was met with confusion upon the release of the track. He has now shared his embarrassment surrounding “Rudebox” in his new 4-part Netflix documentary.

Williams said, “My biggest regret is putting that out as the first single. If I’d have put it out third and explained properly [that] it’s daft – I know! I’m not trying to be a grime artist. I know it’s daft.”

He continued, “In the documentary, the biggest cringe point for me is explaining to an audience who are about to listen to ‘Rudebox’ for the first time that this is gonna be the biggest single since ‘Angels’. Then I had another thought about it, that it’s my second most important single because ‘Angels’ gave me the career and ‘Rudebox’ heralded the end of my imperial phase. So in a way I was right, but not in the way I wanted to be.”

The documentary series, simply titled Robbie Williams, explores the highs and the lows of Williams’ career since his debut with boy band Take That in 1990. Williams addresses many hot topics throughout, including his relationship with Geri Haliwell, also known as Ginger Spice of The Spice Girls, and his feud with bandmate Gary Barlow.

The show also touches on the raw topic of mental health struggles, with Williams candidly sharing his history of self-harm and depression. He opened up saying, “Thank God mental health is being talked about in a different way. I read something that triggered me, somebody talking about ‘celeb washing’ of mental illnesses. And celebs making mental health issues sexy.”

He continued, “[people] need to be careful about what we say and how we say it.”

“It felt like, every day, I would read in print what an abhorrent person I was.”

The series has already received rave reviews, with fans sharing their opinions on social media.

Band member Duncan James addressed the news on Good Morning Britain (which he currently presents), saying, “I have some great news that won’t leave you feeling Blue because we are putting on a special tour.” He added, “there’s been a lot happening in the last two decades,” ensuring fans that many exciting stories from Blue’s expansive career would be coming their way.

The tour will celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary, with the setlist promising to contain the best material from their six studio albums. On Good Morning Britain, James said, “We could put your city in lockdown when we fly by on a low ride very soon.”

The group took to Twitter to share their excitement, also referencing their iconic noughties tracks, “All Rise” and “Fly By.”

The tour won’t solely rely on nostalgia though, as the group are set to perform tracks from their newest album too, released in 2022. Members Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe produced their latest effort, Heart and Soul in October 2022, with the album debuting at No.22 on the UK Top 100 Chart.
