Since being the first group ever to win the now-defunct British singing competition The X Factor, Little Mix has had a career one can hardly call smooth. Constant media coverage on every aspect of their lives, and each member relentlessly being questioned on a regular basis have forced the group to go on an indefinite hiatus after working together for 10 years. To mark the occasion for fans, a multi-part documentary called “Little Mix – At Home” shows their history from the perspective of each of the founding members: Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Jesy Nelson, who departed from the group last year, does not feature in the documentary.

Part 1 has been released onto YouTube, with presumably more parts on the way in the not-so-distant future. Watch Little Mix – At Home Documentary (Part 1) below.

The video comes with a series of other segments and features that Little Mix has started to commemorate their previous 10 years together as a group. They have also started a timeline where fans can share stories, post pictures and videos and just generally reminisce about times they may have shared with the group or their music. Click here to check out the site where you can view the timeline so far, or contribute your own content for the group.

The group are set to begin their “Confetti” UK Tour in April of 2022. The tour will presumably be a ‘greatest hits tour, following the release of their greatest hits album Between Us November. The tour will begin in Belfast on April 9th 2022, and take them all through the UK to finish with 3 nights at London’s O2 Arena on 12th, 13th, and 14th May. See full ticket information here.

After the tour concludes, the group say fans should not worry. “We are not splitting up – Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more.”

Kirsty Hillitt of BBC’s Newsbeat had this to say about the group’s hiatus, “I’m so, so gutted really. I love their music and I’m gutted we won’t be hearing it for a while, But coming from a personal level, I can completely understand the girls needing to recharge, they’ve grown so much in the last 10 years. They’ve got to have a dabble at other things.”
