				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/stormzy-nile-rogers-neneh-cherry-recognised-artist-managers-awards-2568407">Stormzy was among the winners of the annual &#8216;Artist &amp; Management Awards&#8217;</a>. The event took place at Bloomsbury Big Top in London, hosted by BBC Radio 1&#8217;s Huw Stephens. Stormzy and his manager, Tobe Onwuka, as well as the entire team at #Merky collected the &#8216;Team Achievement Award&#8217; for their contributions to British music and culture.</p>
<p>The #merky team is comprised of a record label, music management, book publishing, a clothing brand and scholarship scheme. Nile Rodgers went away with the career-best award for Artists&#8217; Artist, with the producer collecting his prize from Blur&#8217;s Alex James and FAC’s Artist In Residence, David Rowntree.</p>
<p>After receiving the award, Stormzy declared, <em>“my team is everything”</em>, calling them a <em>“family”</em> and a <em>“powerhouse.” </em></p>

<p>Sam Fender and his manager Owain Davies collected the Fanfair Award for &#8216;Outstanding Contribution To Live Music&#8217;, Andy Varley, the founder of Insanity Group was awarded the &#8216;Entrepreneur Award&#8217;, and Glaswegian singer and comedian Lewis Capaldi t0ok home &#8216;Artist of the Year&#8217;.</p>
<p>Recently, <a href="https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/10/stormzy-overwhelmed-lands-time-magazine-cover-cant-even-comprehend-10896132/">Stormzy became the latest face on the front of Time Magazine</a>. Responding through his Instagram, the rapper described it as <em>&#8220;One of my absolute proudest moments,&#8221;. </em></p>
<p>He went on to say, <em>&#8220;I am deeply flawed and still learning how to be a man and still figuring out how to grow into the person I need to be but within all of that confusion and all the juggling of being a human and trying to be a superhuman – I have purpose. And my purpose has lead me here. Big Mike for TIME ya na.&#8221;</em></p>
