The collection of programs, titled ‘Bowie Five Years On’ will premiere on BBC Radio Four and BBC Six Music, commemorating the 10<sup>th</sup> January 2021, five years on from the artists passing due to liver cancer.</p>

<p>The station BBC Radio 4 will first air ‘Soul Music – Life on Mars’ and a repeat of ‘Archive on 4: Bowie Verbatim’ on the 9<sup>th</sup> January 2021. The following day’s broadcast will be completely dedicated to Bowie and will premiere ‘Bowie: Dancing Out In Space’, a two hour special produced by Stuart Maconie.</p>
<p>Set to broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 6 simultaneously, the special will focus on the “…the impact of David Bowie on their lives and how he always managed to be ahead of the curve,” and feature a number of hosts, such as Guy Garvey of ‘Elbow’ fame, and Cerys Matthews.</p>
<p><em>“We miss David Bowie. To think of the music he would have made, the words he would have written, the thoughts and ideas he would have shared with the world,”</em> said the head of BBC Radio 6 Samantha Coy in a press release. <em>“The broadcast of Dancing Out In Space – a programme celebrating the ultimate trailblazer – with our friends at Radio 4 will be a very special moment and testament to the legacy of an absolute icon.”</em></p>
