Acts have yet to be announced, but if last year was to go by – including the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Ellie Goulding, and Pharrell Williams – then fans will be treated to a similar spectacular standard, this year.

Tickets are available to UK residents only via Apple ID and iTunes account – click here for more information on how to obtain these free tickets as in previous years they have been limited, fans often relying on competitions. It can be just simply the luck of the draw.

However, if fans are unlucky, the festival can still be viewed via live streaming. Last year this included: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iTunes, Apple TV. This year there are several other methods – click here to check these out – including the HD experience of Apple TV.

The ten night 10th anniversary Apple Music Festival will be held from Sunday 18 September to Friday 30 September at London’s Camden Roundhouse.

Acts will be confirmed soon. In a statement on their website, Apple say:

Apple Music Festival 10 returns to London in September for 10 exhilarating nights of live music. Residents of the UK can win tickets to the gigs. Apple Music members around the world can watch the performances for free. Ticket applications will be opening soon. Follow @AppleMusic on Twitter and Snapchat for up-to-the-minute information and join the #AMF10 conversation.

In just one days time on Friday 19th September the 2015 Apple Music Festival will kick off in London at the Roundhouse theatre.

This year’s Apple Music Festival will have a wide variety of artists performing over the duration of 10 days; from Ellie Goulding to Mumford & Sons. Here is the full list of performers:

September 19th – Ellie Goulding with Andra Day supporting
September 20th – Take That with Charlie Puth supporting
September 21st – Carrie Underwood with The Shires and Cam supporting
September 22nd – One Direction with Little Mix supporting
September 23rd – The Weekend with Grace Mitchell supporting
September 24th – The Chemical Brothers
September 25th – Disclosure with NAO and LION BABE supporting
September 26th – Pharrell Williams with Leon Bridges supporting
September 27th – Mumford & Sons with Jack Garratt supporting
September 28th – Florence + The Machine with James Bay supporting

It promises to be a truly great festival; however it is not just the lineup that makes the Apple Music Festival so unique and exciting, in fact it is the manner of how you get tickets that makes it quite something else.

Only those who are signed up for Itunes can access tickets, and you don’t have to pay for them at all! If you have access to Itunes you simply just apply for tickets and hope that lady luck shines down on you as the tickets are given through a random ballot. People can also only apply for tickets four days before the actual performance, so people today will be readily applying for the chance to see One Direction and Little Mix.

However it is worth mentioning that in order to apply for tickets, you must have the latest version of Itunes installed; there have been problems for people trying to apply for tickets whilst using older models.

Yet if you are unlucky and are not allocated any tickets then have no fear, for the first time you will still be able to watch and enjoy the festival from the comfort of your own home; as the festival will be streamed through both Itunes and Apple Music. Eddie Cue (vice president of Internet Software and Services at Apple) had this to say:

“We wanted to do something really special for music fans this year,” said Eddy Cue “The Apple Music Festival is a greatest hits set of ten unbelievable nights featuring some of the best performers on the planet appearing live and interacting directly with their fans on Connect and Beats 1″

Last year’s festival was a massive success, being hosted in the US for the first time, based in Austin, Texas. We got to see the likes of Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Soundgarden and Willie Nelson.

In a day and age where concert ticket prices are skyrocketing it is refreshing to see a festival which is, ultimately, free. Looking at the lineup, it promises to be a fantastic festival indeed.
