The iconic Italian tenor will be joined by a range of performers, including none other than the infamous music producer Hans Zimmer, who is known for creating the loved filmscores of movies such as Dune, The Lion King and The Dark Knight. Zimmer is one of the three artists who will be joining Bocelli on stage for what is seeming to be an incredible performance. Alongside Zimmer, the R&B singer Seal will be appearing alongside Bocelli. The ‘Kiss from a Rose’ singer is known for his soulful voice and iconic hits from the 1990s and 2000s. Another huge artist performing with Bocelli is Zucchero, the Italian singer songwriter, known as the “father of the Italian blues”. However these are not the only three special appearances set to take place, as a further eight artists are schedule to appear with Bocelli including: Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard, Loren Allred, Andrea Griminelli, Russandra Panfili, Luca Micheletti, and Joaquina.

Supporting Bocelli throughout the day includes his own son Matteo Bocelli, who will be performing his own exclusive set. Additionally, Bocelli’s daughter, Virginia Bocelli, at only twelve years old, will be performing alongside her father at some point during his set.

Bocelli’s huge concert will mark the first time that BST Hyde Park have organised a classical performance as a headline for their legendary festival, and any remaining tickets can be found here.

The announcement of Bocelli’s support has left many attendees desperate and in anticipation for further notifications for the full support lineup of other artists, with support acts for singers such as Stevie Nicks and Kylie Minogue still left to be announced.

Minogue, whose illustrious career spans decades, last graced the BST Hyde Park stage in 2015, leaving an indelible mark with her performance. Minogue expressed her excitement about returning to BST Hyde Park, stating, “I can’t wait to return to BST Hyde Park this summer. My last appearance at this iconic event was in 2015 and it was a truly unforgettable experience. So excited to see you all again!”

Fans can anticipate a showcase of Minogue’s greatest hits, including chart-toppers like ‘Love at First Sight’, ‘Spinning Around’, and ‘Can’t Get You out of My Head’, alongside the summer anthem of 2023, ‘Padam Padam’. With the accompaniment of dancers, captivating costume changes, and a repertoire of timeless classics, Minogue’s performance promises to be an unforgettable highlight of the festival.

Kylie Minogue’s upcoming BST Hyde Park gig marks her first appearance at the festival in nine years, following her headline performance in 2015 while promoting her 12th studio album, ‘Kiss Me Once.’ 

Minogue joins a prestigious lineup of previously confirmed headliners including Shania Twain (July 7), Andrea Bocelli (July 5), Robbie Williams (July 6), and Stray Kids (July 14), with further artists expected to be announced in the coming months. Tickets for the event are set to go on sale next Wednesday (February 21)and are available here, with a pre-sale available on Monday (February 19), sponsored by American Express.

In addition to her performance at BST Hyde Park, Minogue was recently announced as the recipient of the BRIT Awards’ 2024 global icon award, further cementing her legacy as a trailblazer in the music industry. She is also nominated for international artist of the year and is set to perform at the televised ceremony on 2 March.

Moreover, the vocalist has claimed multiple awards throughout her distinguished career including three BRIT Awards, 18 ARIA Awards, and two MTV Awards. Kylie Minogue currently stands as the only female artist to achieve a No.1 album in five consecutive decades in the UK.

This year’s Global Citizen Live will take place in Rio de Janerio, London, Seoul, Los Angles, Sydney, Lagos, France’s capital city Paris and US city New York City and will include various artist’s live performances as well as pre-recorded sets. The worldwide concert aims to promote unity whilst rallying citizens of the world to urge major conglobates, governments and politicians as well as philanthropists to band together to help the world’s poverty-stricken communities and help rectify the recent global issues.

The global event has been dated to take place this September to match with the UN General Assembly which is also taking place this September. Global Citizen Live will also coincide with other important meetings and summits including the G20 and COP26 set to take later on in 2021. Each act performing will be taking part in a 24-hour historic musical event, the concerts will be aired over many broadcasted mediums including ABC, ABC News Live, BBC, FX, IHeartRadio, Hulu, YouTube, TIME, Twitter as well as many more social media and televised channels.

Ed Sheeran will join the impressive list of artists billed to perform in Paris, joining the ‘Shape of You’ singer are hitmakers Black Eyed Peas, H.E.R., Dj Snake, Christine and the Queens and ‘Kiss Me More’ singer Doja Cat.  The line-up featured in Lagos include musician Femi Kuti, singer-songwriter Davido, Made Kuti and MTV Europe music award winner Tiwa Savage.

New York City’s event will take place at the famous landmark, Central Park, Global Citizen has been hosting events at the famed landmark since 2012. Performing at the city’s venue includes a vast array of artists such as ‘Bad Guy’ singer Billie Eilish and former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello. Also included to play the city that never sleeps are British hitmakers Coldplay, legendary artist Jennifer Lopez, ‘Good as Hell’ singer Lizzo, Shawn Mendes and rapper Meek Mill. New York City’s event will also see performances by special guests Burna Boy and Lang Lang, also set to take the stage at Central Park is 80’s pop icon Cyndi Lauper, known for her ‘Girl’s Just Want To Have Fun’ mega-hit.

Other artists donating themselves to the cause include Queen + Adam Lambert singer Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Opera tenor singer Andrea Bocelli, Angélique Kidjo, BTS, Demi Lovato, legendary 80’s band Duran Duran, iconic punk rockers Green Day, Hugh Jackman & Deborra-Lee Furness, Jon Batiste, Country music artist Keith Urban, ‘Royals’ singer-songwriter Lorde, The Lumineers, thrash metal pioneers Metallica, Rag ‘ n’ Bone Man, Ricky Martin, The Weeknd and Usher with even more acts to be announced.

As we carefully resume Global Citizen’s live events, we couldn’t be more grateful to each of these artists for donating their time and performances to make an impact through this urgent campaign.”

Potential ticket-holders must earn their way into the amazing event by winning their tickets and each location has its own draw. You must begin by downloading the Global Citizen app and creating an account, within this app users can sign petitions, write letters to government officials and politicians, share news and messages via social media plus many more actions. These actions can earn users points, which they can then use to enter to win tickets to the event. The first collection of actions was released on 10th August 2021, fans have until 24th August 2021 to fulfil enough actions to place them in the competition to receive tickets. The lucky winners will be selected at random and will be notified via email, once the email has been received, ticket winners have 48 hours in which to claim their tickets.
