Don Broco have been enjoying a fantastic 2023. A headlining UK arena tour with Papa Roach and Dance Gavin Dance, supporting Pierce The Veil and The Used on their North American tour and then delivering thrilling sets at Reading and Leeds festival (their seventh appearance to date) have reminded their fans why they are considered one of the best live bands on the scene today.

Now, much to the delight of their scores of supporters, Don Broco have announced a huge tour of the UK starting this autumn and carrying them into the winter. Titled “The Birthday Party Tour,” to celebrate the first national tour the band embarked upon back in 2008, the group will be hitting 15 cities across the UK, including shows at London’s KOKO, Cambridge’s Corn Exchange and Brighton’s Dome to name a few.

Don Broco’s latest album, 2022’s Amazing Things, landed the band their first ever UK number one after facing delays due to the Covid pandemic. The distinction  boosted the group’s stature within the rock scene, seeing them make the step up to headlining shows in arenas. And the band have since been capitalising on the album’s success, releasing the single “Fingernails” in April of 2022 and bringing their riveting live show to North America, Europe and Australia.

Formed in Bedford in 2008, Don Broco can trace its origins to when the members were in secondary school, playing sporadic gigs before officially forming as a band while the members were at Nottingham University. Unlike many of their contemporaries, Don Broco began by touring extensively between 2008-2010, appearing at various festivals and supporting Enter Shikari during their Christmas party shows.

After releasing the successful EP, Big Fat Smile in 2011, the band underwent a few lineup changes before signing with Search And Destroy Records where they recorded and released their debut album, Priorities. Their first headlining tour of the UK soon followed and Don Broco have been maintaining their high standards ever since, releasing three more albums to date to critical acclaim and becoming one of the rock scene’s most sought after acts.

Don Broco will be heading to North America before kicking off their winter tour, which will get underway on the 29th of November in Reading and finish at London’s KOKO on the 17th of December. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10am and can be purchased here.

Amazing Things let Don Broco run free as their talent for genre-blending and production takes on new heights as their anthemic tunes climb the charts. Songs like “Bruce Willis”, “Swimwear Season”, and “Revenge Body” name themselves as crowd-pleasing concert-ready bangers. With singles “Gumsheild”, “One True Prince”, “Uber”, and “Endorphins” cement themselves in Don Broco’s most popular songs.

As they approach their UK tour, it is anyone’s guess which incredible tracks will make their way onto the setlist. With any hope, classic songs “Come Out To LA”, “Superlove”, and “HALF MAN HALF GOD” will find their way onto the stage again. They will be joined by NOISY and Kid Brunswick. Including two shows as Brixon’s O2 Academy, which is sure to be a stand-out show in the tour lineup. Off the heels of their last single, “One True Prince”, the song details the band’s experience with people being “openly racist in front of us, I guess assuming as white guys we’d share”.  It is a powerful credit to the band’s musical talent.  “Uber” shares the band’s message of anti-hate during this troubled time. Despite being written a few years ago, the song feels so powerful against the backdrop of the state of current affairs. 

“Uber is about being angry about that, being angry that racists seem to be growing in confidence to speak their hate in public and it’s a reminder to me to call out that discrimination whenever I see it.”  The band said when discussing the new song. 

Their new album is set to release on September 17th. You can catch the band on tour Amazing Things this Autumn. This is a long-awaited return to the stage for the band.
